Man, waiting for these to come out in the U.S. Is difficult. These guys are pretty cool. Anyways, it looks like the animations for the summer are going to be more action oriented instead of "get the mask!". Can't wait for the books either.

Did one sell on Bricklink? I was only aware of the one that was sold on eBay. How much did the Bricklink one go for?

I'm pretty sure I know who bought the one on eBay, but there's no way I'm sharing who it is. I already know firsthand what it's like to be badgered about selling that mask, and they certainly wouldn't have paid the price they paid for it if they didn't intend to keep and cherish it.

Well, good luck, anyway! I would have expected more attendees to have parted with their masks by now, given Bionicle's niche appeal, but it seems like most people are holding onto them. But maybe the next time one becomes available you could nab it!

So keeping this on topic with the 2015 sets, has anyone attempted any customs, as just saw this and thought a custom paint job would work wonders on the scare factor :P

Troves of detail were removed from the Mask of Creation:

-The horn things were shaped like i-beam girders

-the face had no lettering

-neither did the horns

-the top wasn't just a little spike for removing the mask it was a full circle

-it wasn't gold, it was bright yellow

Managed to track it down today on Bricklink, so now completed the 2015 current mask collection (3 exclusives + Hero pack + all from the normal sets)

To be honest, dreading something like this might happen with the Mask Of Ultimate Power given we have'nt seen the details on it so it could end up being a plain mask for all we know, especially given it was only made as a vessel for the elemental powers. If your prediction comes true it'd make sense for it to be about the Mask Of Ultimate Power.

If the MoUP doesn't have a trans red blend, I'll be disappointed. I think it'd look look sweet as a black mask with trans red flame detailing.

I'm hoping for tr. smoke/tr. black/whatever you want to call it. Also, I've noticed that there are only a few translucent colors we don't have bone pieces in: tr. blue (the regular kind, not the weirdly pale tr. light blue), tr. yellow, tr. clear, tr. smoke and tr. dark green.

I'd really like to see trans red above anything else. Sure, it's really dark but sometimes trans reddish orange just doesn't cut it. Makuta would be a good set to introduce it with.

It would totally suit him and give an idea that he's extra evil compared to the rest of the bad guys. But it's really dark color so the set would probably use a lot of gray as well along Black and trans-red shells.

It could've been nice to see Gali and her Protector using normal trans blue bones (afterall the Protector came with the trans blue armour...) to differentiate from Kopaka. I spose they wanted to carry on using the parts from the Chima ultrabuilds, and it's likely that those who live in North America would probably disagree with me on that possibly as they missed out on those parts when Chima introduced them (which is a bit crazy really).

Just out of current (non-discontinued) colors, there's also Transparent Fluorescent Blue (Trans-Medium Blue on Bricklink), Transparent Medium Reddish Violet (Trans-Dark Pink on Bricklink), and Transparent Green. I feel like Transparent Medium Reddish-Violet would probably be the most accurate match for the glowy limb color of Makuta as he appeared in "The Legend", though I'm not sure how likely it would be for it to actually appear in sets.

To be honest I'm more than a little disappointed that CCBS sets nowadays pretty consistently use Transparent Light Blue instead of Transparent Fluorescent Blue. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE how well Transparent Light Blue goes with Dark and Medium Azur, which really makes it a great fit for sets like Jaw Beast, Gali, and Kopaka. But Transparent Fluorescent Blue is a great color in its own right, especially under a blacklight. I particularly miss having it as an eye color, since masks generally cast shadows on character's faces, so that extra "glowiness" of fluorescent colors really makes a big difference.

I've been carefully examining HD pics of the Scorpio Mask and it looks like we're getting those nice rough masks again, though feel free to correct me if I'm wrong

The Skull Villains should start showing up in the US and Canada Shop @ home soon. The Finland shop has them and they had the creator Ferrari on there homepage before US and Canada.

I've noticed that you can't really find Episode 1 anywhere besides their Youtube channel. I wonder if they'll add it back at all?

I was actually just listing the tr. colors that I thought had a chance to appear in sets. For reasons that have been discussed before, tr. red is unlikely. Tr. pink is unlikely for fairly obvious reasons. And when I said tr. dark green, I meant tr. green.
