70779 Protector of Stone $9,99

70780 Protector of Water $9,99

70781 Protector of Fire $9,99

70789 Onua - Master of Land - $19,99

70790 Lord of the Skull Spiders $14,99

I have calculated Euro to US$, so here we go!!!

EDIT 2: Removed Jungle and added Air instead, and the same change to Onua to Land!

*Looks at prices* If these are any indication of what the US prices will be, I might have to rethink my "buy all six Toa at once" plan.

^Yeah, $105 is a lot to spend in one store visit. I will definitely buy Pohatu and Lewa first (As they are my favs), likely as soon as they are released. From there, I will branch out to the other Toa/Defenders. However, I may skip on the LOSS......from what I can see, his design is lame. (By the way, what is < that? A grotesque claw?)

You guys think you have it hard? Try buying LEGO in New Zealand, the inflation is outrageous! When I bought the Jaw Beast vs. Stormer and Stormer Freeze Machine, it cost $45 to buy them both.

I'm glad to see the pricing is more in line with what we already are used to with HF. Though does it seem like we're getting the whole year's worth in one wave? I wonder with all these sets if they will be broken up into waves, or if we get everything all at once for the year. That would suck cause then there'd be nothing to look forward to for the rest of the year. :(

*Prays prices are fake*

Those twenty dollar sets better have a lot of pieces! I dont even get the $15 dollar jaw beasts. i spend only like $25 dollars(At most) on lego when I go to the store.

Hang in there! :)

Well, there goes my budget for Ultra Agents.

Looks like I'll only be buying the Defenders and medium-sized sets. (Not just because of the off-putting price of the three XL Toa, but Sainsbury's doesn't sell titan-sized constraction sets, unless they're in a bag. ;o;)

While I zoomed at the standee. I have noticed that Gali will use The Ben 10 foot piece, which is used in Bigchill, Chromastone, Jetray and Spidemonkey, or a new piece similar to this foot piece, :D

One does not simply pass on Omega Tahu...

I'd be highly surprised if there wasn't a second 2015 wave

Wow... for the first time (in forever), the thought of a second wave has occurred to me - WTH kind of sets would there even be? Maybe villains for the larger sets, and Matoran as the smaller sets (this is coming from my opinion that the Protectors are going to be antagonists)?

One does if he thinks Tahu is overrated. In fact, I think he is my least favorite of the Toa Mata.

Maybe Lego will make.........LEWA the leader?!

Maybe...

In your dreams :P

And TBH, from the fans I've talked to, most of them prefer Kopaka over Tahu. Understandable - he's pretty beast - but Tahu will always be my fav.

Yeah, Lewa will never happen. But I do like Kopaka more than Tahu; something about his cold attitude and reserved behavior is so epic. But Tahu......I don't know why, I just don't like him at all.

By the way, Jakura Nuva: I love your icon photo.

Really? because it just looked like a 2.0 hero foot to me...

Since Kopaka is second in command, and I think Gali is third, that's unlikely. Thinking about it, why did they make Lewa the core of a Kaita anyway?

Sorry, but that is clearly a Hero Factory foot piece on Gali... which sucks because I hate that piece.

I'd love to see what the CCBS can do for Rahi.

HF just wasted its potential on humanoids. Dragon Bolt and some of the IFB stuff was a nice break, but even several beasts and mechs were still humanoid.

Should there be a new headpiece but in two new parts or reuse the Brain Attack head. I'm hoping that the new mold will be similar to the old mold used in Toa Metru. Toa Mahri, Phantoka and Mistika, but include a ball socket instead of a ball, as well as a new eye piece, and. I noticed via Gali's transparent mask there will be a new head mold,

P.S: Do old BIONICLE fans like the CCBS system?

I must say that CCBS is a very excellent action figure building system, and unrelated to Hero Factory, as I'm one of the old BIONICLE fans who like CCBS.

EDIT 2: Ouch!

I didn't realise that Lewa wasn't the second until I read the Nuva's page on the wiki in early 08. Seriously, Lewa's the core of Wairuha, and the apparent leader in the Phantoka adverts, along with being partnered with the leader of the Av-Matoran. And yet, Kopaka is the second in command? Okay, I get that Lewa's a bit unsuited to a leadership role... but so is Kopaka. Guy's constantly suggesting splitups in the comics and such. OKay, I get that "Let's split up and do our own thing, even though we get our megablocks kicked every time we try that" is a hobby for the Mata/Nuva, but Kopaka's the worst at it.

If their personalities stay the same as they were in 01, then I want Gali or Onua to be the deputy in the reboot. At least they're smart enough to suggest working together. Actually, Pohatu is more suited to a leadership role than either Lewa or Kopaka.

EDIT 2: Ouch!

I know some old BIONICLE fans who like the CCBS and others who don't, just as there were some old BIONICLE fans who liked Toa Inika builds and others who didn't. It's hard to make generalizations about old BIONICLE fans because so many people enjoyed the theme in different ways and for different reasons.

I'm not too particular about what sort of head piece these sets use. If they do have a molded face, though, I hope it's one that's both versatile and reasonably expressive. I'm not too fond of how rigid and alien-looking some of the classic BIONICLE heads were. I felt the Glatorian head was a step in the right direction, even though it was still kind of skull-like in appearance.

Gali, Pohatu and Onua clearly use 2.0 feet so I assume the other 3 do as well. The Defenders use small Beast feet. At this point I hope we get a new foot piece in summer (a shoe-like one, not a bestial one like that of the Beasts)..

Which somehow reminds me, isn't it odd that the Toa' hands, aside from Pohatu, are silver (Lewa, Gali, Tahu on the box art) or black (Tahu on the stand art, Kopaka, Onua)? Seems like a wasted opportunity for new hand colours, like, oh, gold. Even weirder, Tahu and Lewa seem to have silver feet. Maybe it's another quirk limited to the preliminary sets?

Oh. it sounds similar to the size change from 2006 when their price was slightly elevated,

I personally love CCBS, I just wish I had more variety in colours. It's why I'm really hoping that Lewa does have Keetorange, and I'd like to see some dark blue. Dark red and dark green are good, but I'd want some more Metru colours.

I think the Glatorian head was an improvement in some respects, and a downgrade in others. THe face itself was a rather unfortunate Iron Man lookalike, and the shape of the head meant that simply rotating it didn't provide a good head for a normal mask. Plus, the fact that they had faces lead to lots of open masks, exposing the face itself.THat was all well and good, except for the whole head being transparent part. No only did it give the Glatorian neon colour-scheme breaking heads, but you could see the black or grey ball joint through the head, spoiling the effect. And the light piping was a downgrade in and of itself. THe eyes of the post-08 heads seemed flat and lifeless next to the more focused eyepieces of earlier sets.

I wouldn't mind seeing a helmet with a face again, but since the characters' masks are like their faces in Bionicle, I won't mind if the unmasked heads sacrifice a proper face for a connection point compatible with post-04 masks.

My thoughts exactly. Glad Kopaka is an XL set.

I'm still not totally sure how to feel about the new BIONICLE sets' prices, myself. My chief concern is always that the prices are equitable, of course. But the high price points do raise some questions. For instance, will the LEGO Group be able to reduce the prices for future waves if these sets don't sell well? The last time they tried to do something like that in any constraction theme was with the BIONICLE Stars, and we all saw what people thought of THAT decision. People evidently are much happier paying more for more than less for less. In that case, it might have been safer to do as Hero Factory did: start small ($10 and $15 Toa) and raise the price points if demand can sustain it.

I also think that a lot more classic BIONICLE fans would be willing to give smaller sets a shot than larger ones, because it would have been easier to compare them to classic BIONICLE sets in order to judge their value. The original Toa Nuva had just 40 pieces on average for what today would be about $10, and it would be downright easy to design a wave of $10 CCBS Toa that boasted between 40 and 50 pieces each. But a $20 Toa is going to seem overpriced to a lot of people compared to classic BIONICLE no matter how many more pieces it offers.

Finally, I am a little bit worried about the sets' proportions. Not tremendously worried, but I really liked the proportions of the $10 and $13 Brain Attack heroes. And while I can appreciate sets with proportions more like this year's Legends of Chima constraction sets (which are priced much like the new Toa), it still isn't really what I had hoped for initially.

Overall, my opinions might change once we see the finalized sets. But I can't help but be a bit uneasy with this pricing scheme.
