I find this quote interesting:

"In the 2015 story, is it likely that we will be seeing more of characters such as Helryx and Artakha?"

"I would say it is highly doubtful. These are characters from a story that stopped five years ago, and that new fans would never even have heard of (since they were not even sets). It really wouldn't make sense to make your target audience for the new launch have to go back and research relatively obscure characters to figure out what is going on in the story."

I would say this suggests that we will definitely not have a seamless continuation (not that theres any reason to expect this anyways). At the very least, if we arent rebooting we are getting heavy retcons. Technically he hasnt said anything new but I can see only timeskip with most the post 2010's Stars lore (golden armor final "comic") getting clipped off for new audiences or reboot if he is right.

Hey - you're welcome! :)

I've seen people throw this idea around on youtube, so I thought I might as well post it here. People have noticed that Tahu and Fire protector come with green skull spiders, and lewa comes with a blue one. Is it possible that Toa and their respective protectors share colours of spider, and that each colour of set has its own different spider colour, like the krana back when the bohrok were released?

I would certainly welcome it, I thought it was a nice touch back then. Speaking of that I really hope they bring back a variety of eye colors, to the point where each element could have its own eye color. (Trans dark green ftw) Edited by arc

I don't know about that. The stand shows some colours duplicating in different sets. Blue, green and Black. So I imagine it will work the same way as the spiders did from IFB. A few different colours from different sets but not unique to just one. I would be nice to see six different colours though. Especially because of the gold one too with Loss. God knows the story reason behind that thing

I really dislike Onua's old Tr. Green eyes. They were easily the worst eye color among the Toa Mata because they weren't the least bit fluorescent, so they wouldn't glow at all except when lit from behind.

Sadly, some of the old transparent fluorescent colors like Tr. Flu. Red and Tr. Flu Yellow (Tahu and Gali's classic eye colors) are discontinued. There are still at least five transparent fluorescent colors on the palette, but two of those are additional colors of orange and green (Tr. Bright Orange and Tr. Bright Green), so that wouldn't really amount to much greater variety than just using the same three colors used for the Glatorian head (Tr. Flu. Reddish Orange, Tr. Flu. Green, and Tr. Flu. Blue) for all six sets.

What about the trans dark green from Nex and Rocka

The only time I recall seeing trans dark green used in Hero Factory was the special shells in Savage Planet. Otherwise, it's only been trans bright green and trans lime green.

for a bit I was terrified trans bright green was going to replace trans lime but then the BA heads came in both and it hasn't shown any signs or replacing it. it has to be my favorite trans color so id hate to ever see it go.

That's Tr. Bright Green. As I mentioned, it IS fluorescent, so I'd be happy with it appearing in any of the new sets.

Remember the light up eyes from 2006? those would be awesome in different colors. Unfortunately there's pretty much zero chance of it happening.

They were an interesting idea, but iirc, changing the batteries was either impossible or a chore. They weren't exactly designed with longevity in mind.

They were nice, for the Piraka. I'm still confused as to why they were used on Lesovikk.

Leftover stock from the Piraka they had to go through, perhaps? Or maybe they just wanted another play feature to draw kids in and couldn't think of anything else

The light-up eyes weren't short-lived, the one that I got from the only Piraka I got is still working, albeit faintly. The problem was that the light-up piece was usable on the shelf, so they got worn down faster.

Eye color... I don't really care. But my preferences lie in fluorescent colors. Because black light.

Ooh! Idea! Bring in Takanuva and have him use loads of fluorescent pieces. That would look sick under black light.

They had the same longevity as the Exo-Force light bricks, they seemed to last the same amount of time and got dim at similar levels.

I'd certainly prefer a variety of eye colors to the usual trans neon orange or neon green (and occasional light blue). As Aanchir said trans dark green was pretty terrible- though with trans purple making it's way in, I wouldn't be opposed to trans light purple eyes.

Not only that but the light-up swords from Inika too were neat! I too would love to see different light up colored eyes!

We need a fluorescent Takanuva. It would look so epic next to the other Toa, and I would no doubt buy multiples for the extra shells........hint hint, Lego.

But guys, I don't think Takanuva is returning. This is likely a reboot, so they'll just give us some other guy that is just based off of him, but not him. He would be named Avunakat or something.

Hero Factory's official Facebook was quietly shut down today. I suspect the announcement of its cancellation isn't far off. I'd say most likely after NYCC, because they'll want to space out the announcement of BIONICLE 2015 and the announcement of Hero Factory's cancellation pretty well.

Hey - you're welcome! :)

*glatorian hand facepalm* Sorry if I pointed his answer out here before you got to then. It let me think a bit more about the more plausible direction for LEGO from here would be.

I guess any of us who didnt get into Hero Factory but were eyeing those hero factory BA sets on amazon better get a move on before they go from double to triple digits...

EW...Funhouse Takanuva? No thanks. I'd probably only get it for the collection.

I much rather see him have transparent/opaque gold and white pieces.

but what if Funhouse Takanuva comes with Funmetal?

Funhouse Takanuva, with a Funmetal color scheme: Lego, make it happen! (Also, smart move Grima. That was perfect......)

And did anyone really believe that HF could exist alongside Bionicle? That had zero chance of happening.

I think that Lego had this all planned: Bionicle gets bad? Replace it with a much more underwhelming and less engaging line, that still has sales because it rides on Bionicle's popularity for a while. Then bring it back five years later to make triple the sales.
