Economic cost and carbon footprint are not remotely the same thing. Canisters are wasteful and damaging to the environment, full stop. If LEGO discovers a way to reduce the carbon footprint of high-quality injection-molded plastic, they'll do that for their actual bricks long before they think about doing it for packaging.

I liked the canisters, they looked great and allowed storage for the sets when not on display. But I guess the environment doesn't like them very much. So in that case, I'm fine with boxes.

Definitely not what I was expecting, but really awesome nonetheless. I think one of the 3D models confirms this won't flip over other masks, and that the head will be a solid color (unless they just didn't bother to color it here).

So a couple of things I've noticed:

"Mask Macker" as titles on some of the sheets????

Ball joint head/necks. Don't know if these were part of HF as I didn't collect then.

^ That is the same type of female joint the Glatorian and Brain Attack heads used.

I kinda wish those huge horns stayed, but the final version is the best I think.

So gorgeous. Easily my favorite Legendary mask of the three. Having one in hand is going to be a real treat ...

Maybe Kanohi (or Mask if they're trying to retcon terms like Kanohi, which is an impression I got from it saying Mask) Macker is its name? Upon seeing it I first thought it was a typo, then I thought it was weird but now I think it's really cool.

I figured it was a typo for "Mask Maker". But I'm not going to look too deeply into that.

I really like the one with two horns that make the big circular hole. Kinda sad that isn't the final version.

Wow, that was not what I was expecting at all, but its still really nice to see some of their previous concept ideas for the mask of creation (even if some of them look quite silly). Also, I wonder if they'll reveal something else next friday, or is this the last Bonkles preview until NYCC?

EDIT: Is anyone else getting an error message when trying to get onto BZPower's forums?

I think we are getting the side connections, but it doesn't look like it flips up.

And also, solid colored heads! I really hope that stays to the final design.
