The Kumquat Alchemist Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 (edited) That plot information is such an obviously shopped image. Somebody just pasted text onto the ExoForce.RU page. Were it legit, the actual page would have been linked. Also, cross-posting from TFW because it blew my mind: Heh, that was my first thought upon seeing it. Gali's mask also looks very movie-inspired. I knew there was a reason I liked these Kanohi so much, despite their unusual designs. I felt that I had seen them before, but couldn't figure out from where until now. Thank you both for refreshing my memory, it's been over a decade since I saw the first BIONICLE movie. I think I might still have it somewhere; I need to dig it up and watch it again. TheBrickPal Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 (edited) That new Pakari really does rock. Also, cross-posting from TFW because it blew my mind:[snip] Predictions: In the new canon, Jaller becomes a Toa after Tahu dies by choking on all of the cookies he had been eating. Jaller's destiny is to avenge the Mata leader's death by finding the Mask of Creation that will make Tahu reborn, and murdering all who stands in his way! He also takes Tahu's name in his honor. Oh come on, nobody else thought that was funny? Edited September 29, 2014 by Puffle Pal26 Quote

Aanchir Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 In other news, the leaked catalogue confirmed BIONICLE as the best selling IP from LEGO! Yay! Not really a huge surprise... it was the only IP from LEGO to last ten years. If LEGO City were a fully developed IP rather than just a toy line with some books and merchandise on the side it'd probably have a considerable lead, since it outsold BIONICLE in many of the years when the two themes coexisted. And if Ninjago manages to continue for another five or six years it might easily surpass BIONICLE's original 2001–2010 sales (after all, in its first year it was able to surpass BIONICLE's 2001 sales). Seeing printed something widely known (but never explicitly stated before) is always a pleasure. Besides we know nothing about a comparison between Ninjago year 1 and BIONICLE 2002, the year we all know was the best selling for the line. Quote
Lord-Vorahk Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 (edited) if you're not looking for a lot of effort or quality in the ending why not just write your own? Toa of Gallifrey Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 I thought Hau-Arthron hybrid when I saw it. Now I really wanna make a CCBS Jaller MOC, especially since I found my long-lost Jaller Mahri some hours ago. Quote

All I need to complete him is the cannon from the Defenders. who knows, maybe their paving the way for his return. I want this so much. Jaller and Matoro are basically my favourite Toa. Quote

Turns out they were together in a shoe box, also with my Bionicle Master Builder Kit. Once the 2015 sets are released, they shall mingle and play and pray that Hahli's joints do not break. Tyranide Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Well, would you look at that. Just when I thought I got over the addiction, it drags me back in. I haven't visited a BIONICLE forum in years. Quote

Kalhiki Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Then again, Onua's sort of a let down for me in general since they did away with his claws, which I will always miss. I was thinking that maybe it could be possible to take the two halves of Onua's hammer and make them arm mounted. Not claws, but they could be shovels so he could have some form of digging implement. Mandate Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Oh yeah, they're from the exact same stage as the preliminary leaks from a while back. The only new, finalized portions are the boxes at the bottom of the pages. THOSE are final (but small). No they aren't lol. Tahu features the exact same mask as the new one. I'd draw further comparisons but I'm too lazy. Also, the ones at the bottom are not the finalized version, there's a confidential stamp on all of them, most notable on Gali and LOSS Quote
Shakar Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 (edited) Speaking of Onua, I don't think it's a Ben 10 foot on his hammer. The shape looks way different, it's smaller, narrower and very smooth. Mark this- I'm willing to bet that is the same piece used for Lewa's shoulder pads. Jaller and Hahli alone in a darkened area for a year? Ssssht, love doesn't exist in bonkles! It's official 'cause Greg said so! Edited September 29, 2014 by Shakar Quote

The skull spiders aren't all colored correctly, the lightning pieces on Kopaka are not blended, and Kopaka, Gali, and Pohatu are missing their chest printing. Quote
Cyanide Kualus Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 (edited) Shakar, are you serious? Actually, the 2.0 building system is not the worst possible, but personally I am not satisfied with it's number of degrees of freedom, with the lack of classic technic elements in particular. How many vehicles or giant beasts have you seen apparently? There was only one primitive bike and disgusting scorpion-like creature, moreover: no large-scale titans. It would be much better to find a new compromise between technic and 2.0, Lego has obtained enough experience to invent it. The second line of heroes used the new building system, and I hope that in this situation Lego is planning to do the same. *DERP, i've just answered to an ancient post, skip it) Edited September 29, 2014 by Cyanide Kualus Quote

Mesonak said they were from the same time as the old leaks (one of them, anyway) which wasn't true. That's what I was correcting, these are close to the finalized images than the other prelims were. edit: to clarify, by "one of them" I mean one of the sets of prelims we got. Lewa's shoulders just have a weird construction that uses the Beast talons from this wave, not some weird new piece. As for Onua's hammer, that's most definitely a Ben 10 foot piece. His hammer's construction is simple, really. The only thing left to be shown is how the new pieces attach, since we have no idea what connection points they use. I hope they have an axle connection instead of a ballcup; I'd hate for the hammer's head to be wobbly and flexible. Quote

the last chronicler Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 I was little bit disappointed with Tahu's mask change, but the original mask looked weird...like it was melting on the bottom. I can see why they wanted to change it, the original kept the style but lacked the cool factor, it simply lacked the systematic design choices the others had, yet was trying to look like the other master masks. I went and decided to Photoshop the mask bottom to look like the Hau without the excessive Lewa jaw: Less top heavy version 2: Tahu with the mask Quote
