Kalhiki Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 I told you! It's the Vahi! You can't deny! I said earlier, I hope this means there's going to be a lot of Easter Eggs like this throughout the series. I expect Matoran text to show up at some point. Quote
Timeline15 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 (edited) oh no, 5 pieces, as opposed to the 2 pieces the toa mata had in their legs. Some people XD I said earlier, I hope this means there's going to be a lot of Easter Eggs like this throughout the series. I expect Matoran text to show up at some point. Watch as random voya nui Matoran appear was background character that the fans for some inexplicable reason care about more than the main cast. :P Edited October 9, 2014 by Timeline15 Quote
Cheatster9000x Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Pffthehehehehe. I thought it was the Mata Nui thing that was on the face of the ignika. And then someone pointed out the Vahi shape and i was like O_O oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh. As if I needed more hype. 2015 here we go. Quote
Timeline15 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 I thought it was the Mata Nui thing that was on the face of the ignika. It could be that... if it were splatted against a windscreen.... at 90 miles an hour... Quote
Dorek Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 I'm personally more excited for Makuta's mask, and I pray they have a gold version of it. Quote
Mandate Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 It began with the forging of the Masks of Power Blah blah blah, blah blah blah. Exposition, exposition moar exposition ONE MASK TO RULE THEM ALLLL These set are looking a lot better now! Still no photos on LOSS. That's both a blessing and a curse. Quote
Toa of Gallifrey Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 I need a Makuta set for only two reasons: his mask and his EYE COLOR. Quote
Lord-Vorahk Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 "My mask is a bird, your argument is invalid!"- Makuta, 2015 Quote
Clone 01354 Productions Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 ^I thought Predator, but bird works too. Quote

Antrozek Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 All these news dear lord I need to draw Makuta and Akimo so bad now the toys look amazing, better than in their cgi, the character info on the masters is really nice, and all the beautiful concept art and animated shorts pictures we've been getting please lego release all the concept art in HD on your facebook pleaseeee this reboot is going full strenght Quote
DuckBricks Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Where is this video everyone is talking about with the Toa in it? I only see the one of the Facebook page with Makuta and the new Mata Nui? Quote
Stormbringer Empire791 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 I'm just wondering how Akimo got the mask of creation, and what happened to Mata Nui. Maybe Akimo is Artakha, or maybe Mata Nui? Quote
Floundie Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 (edited) I hope we will see a theatrical film in these next few years. I remember Hero Factory had a (live action?) movie in the works, which undoubtedly was scrapped. And BIONICLE is much more worthy of a movie than Ninjago, and that's coming out at some point. I'd still be happy with a DVD release movie though! I'm just wondering how Akimo got the mask of creation, and what happened to Mata Nui. Maybe Akimo is Artakha, or maybe Mata Nui? Did you watch the video...? This is a fresh start, not a continuation of the old story. Edited October 9, 2014 by Floundie Quote
Mandate Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 (edited) Somewhat disappointed with how Makuta/Akimou are more or less slightly-larger villagers, but it's a good change from previous gigantazoid Titan sets. If they come in the same set, I'll be happy. Although then again, Makuta did become giant. But seriously though, we need the original versions of the two of them. Way to take a dump on one of LEGO's greatest franchises. BIONICLE has had 4 movies in the past, a gigantic amount of comics, books and lore. NINJAGO's had a TV show, but BIONICLE has had far more content than NINJAGO has yet. I would also like to mention that NINJAGO was successful enough that they cancelled it to prevent it from becoming like BIONICLE's later years, but the outcry was great enough to bring it back and gain a huge momentum for 2015. May I also mention that NINJAGO is getting its movie in its 6th year, not its 3rd, 4th, 5th and final year. Seriously. Edited October 9, 2014 by JayWalker Quote
Stormbringer Empire791 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 (edited) Did you watch the video...? This is a fresh start, not a continuation of the old story. I did watch the video, I'm just wondering that because they used the same Toa as well as Makuta. Just doesn't make sense to me to have Makuta without Mata Nui, even if it is a reboot. Timeline15 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 (edited) It's not even the same toa, or the same Makuta! The Makuta we knew was never a Matoran-like creature, he was a puddle of goo in a mech suit. Also, the island here is almost identical to mata nui, but called Okoto, so it's safe to assume that mata nui the person probably isn't around either. Edited October 9, 2014 by Timeline15 Quote
Takanuinuva Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Ok seeing these pics I am all aboard on this Hype train. These sets can't get here soon enough. I'll be getting all six Toa/Masters and at least the Earth and Stone protectors. I may get the other protectors for parts to mod the Toa. I'll pass on the LOSS at least until we get clearing pics of him Quote

Still Raindrop Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Somewhat disappointed with how Makuta/Akimou are more or less slightly-larger villagers, but it's a good change from previous gigantazoid Titan sets. I like how they've made Makuta and Ekimu similar to the villagers. It makes the Toa seem that much more alien and epic, and it makes the brothers fit in better with their world. Quote
Lord-Vorahk Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Makuta at least will definitely have a body that's at least Toa-sized by the time he gets a set, though. Quote
Chro Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 PLEASE LET THIS BE THE ART STYLE FOR THE ANIMATED SERIES. I love it. Less CG crap and more 2D. It just looks like a 90s cartoon, which is awesome, awesome, awesome. this this this Quote
InfurnallDragon Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 (edited) I told you! It's the Vahi! You can't deny! Fix'd I also love the artstyle of that trailer. Like I said before it reminds me so much of Dungeon Defenders. What if they told the story through a videogame series for PC and consoles, as well as graphic novels in a similar style. Idea: what if it really was like the new Star Trek, and the Toa are from our usual reality but they crash into this new one and have to adapt to it? Edited October 9, 2014 by InfurnallDragon Quote
