Look, to be honest I'd just like to see someone selling the new head/gold pistons on eBay rather than anything else. I would buy it as long as it wasn't some stupid auction and it was priced reasonably (as reasonably as a pre-release can be). Trans Hau is going to be expensive and beautiful for a long time :cry_sad:

Ok, I have come up with opinions about the NYCC reveal:

Trailer: It is a interesting but similar to MNOG teaser. I like the Slizer-Throwbots vibe in Okoto (not planet, but element-wise terrain appearance) but looks like Mata Nui, where the original BIONICLE was set from 2001-03, and I like the shape of the island.

Sets: All the Toa/Masters look nice, especially Tahu (after watching TheThreeVirtues' review of 70787). Fortunately Front said that the mask/head click connection has been fixed, so don't worry, and the gearbox piece looks cool. Good to see the classic gears feature coming back, as well as the Nuva-esque features and three masks in each Master set to attach to the head.

Posters: They look very cool, including Tahu,

Conclusion: I must say that the new BONICLE has a good story, nearly good as the original. but I'm just asking why the Chima font has been added to the new BIONICLE?

I can't really see them telling the bulk of the story through 1-minute animations, or books for that matter. It's really odd that they'd do so much to bring back the feel of MNOG but then simply use it on mini-movies and promo artwork alone. While the books can tell a good amount of story, taking a look at LEGO's most recent "big" themes where the main story was neither told through the books or canon (at least not in NINJAGO for the most part, can't talk for Chima) it's very odd if this is the entirety of the media for the new BIONICLE is compromised of books that are mostly unplanned (and unwritten) and short films.

EDIT: We also need a cool song again. Preferably not as theme-centric as Chima's or NINJAGO's, although I do have a bone to pick with even BIONICLE's best songs.

I doubt it will be one-minute long animations. I think they will be at least 10 to 20 minutes long.

Someone mentioned a few pages back they were around 1-minute long.

I would LOVE to be proven wrong though.

Yeah, at the panel they said the Mini Movies would be around 90 seconds long per movie.

I dont know if anyone has cleared this up, but Pohatu does include trans yellow bone pieces. As I remember coming across it many times in the parts bin, full of Bionicle 2015 parts. Also I was so glad they let me take home the MOC that I managed to make. I ended up stacking on a bunch of those new gold add-on pieces. I could provide pictures for later if you guys really want to see them. Sadly I only have one trans purple piece. And a load of Gold Miru's..

Edit: I have now looked through the pictures in my phone and yes the pieces are trans neon green. It must've been the lighting from the Lego store that must've made it look much more yellowish than it is. :( Oh how I wish they were actual trans yellow.

In that case I would assume that the books told most of the story, while the mini movies primarily showed off the action scenes.

Don't hold your breath on the books. All of the recent "big" themes' books haven't pertained to the main storyline, NINJAGO is a big offender of this (Especially in the second year) and Chima's are optional for all I know. Traditionally comics have carried the story for the most part, but MNOG was huge in the first year of BIONICLE so I'm really hoping we get something like it (given the trend of recent LEGO web games... and the "every kid has a phone" mentality... and the lack of any confirmation... it's very unlikely)

Yes, but those themes had most of their story explained through a TV show, which Bionicle does not. Comics or graphic novels would be great, though.

A lot of things over the past few days have made me sad.

Not as in Bionicle itself making me sad, more that people have seen, held, taken home, and even reviewed the new parts (and in Tahu's case, sets) and masks, and I've been sitting at my laptop drooling at it all.

And then I realise that I'm probably going to have to wait until November-ish to get a hold of any of it... and I get very sad...

Also, to anyone that was at the MOC-event, did they have protector masks? Also, how do the new guns fire? I NEED TO KNOW EVERYTHING
