Cheatster9000x Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Petition to bring back Hero Factory? Get out pls kthxbai. Got the app, and I'm absolutely loving it! Quote
The Kumquat Alchemist Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 I'd rather they just redid Exo-Force. Minus the crazy amount of stickers. What with CCBS components, Exo-Force II or similar could be a beautiful thing. Quote
jaller Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Italian shops I meant. January 7th, 16th, 20th, 30th- these are the dates I found. Germany is such a big market for Lego they treat it as separate from the rest of Europe (getting the sets earlier, etc..). It might be that Europe mainland and UK are getting the sets in January while Germany gets a February release, as unusual as it might sound. Also, online shops and stores are different things. When 2014 Chima Ultrabuilds reached stores here and in other European countries, they weren't even present on S@H yet. So the February release might refer to S@H- sets could reach German stores earlier, as it often seems to happen there. Damn...i live in Italy and tomorrow i was going in a Toy's Center to buy them but i think that here in Italy we must wait....what do you think? Quote
Nekchir Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 What with CCBS components, Exo-Force II or similar could be a beautiful thing. Exo-Force was pretty cool, being anime/manga-based and all. They should do mix of CCBS parts, but mostly regular Lego elements like a lot of the Chima sets. Quote
Still Raindrop Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Downloaded the app for my new used iPad today--it's mindless, but still pretty fun for what it is. Although it's obviously not nearly as in-depth as the MNOLG, we do get to see some of the villages, which is always nice. Quote
Scarilian Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Managed to order the sets so that will hopefully tide me over till the Summer images leak... xD I'm okay with a Bring Back HF movement. I'd love for it to run concurrently with BIONICLE and be a minifigure-based constraction mech theme. I can dream. ;__; I'd rather they just redid Exo-Force. Minus the crazy amount of stickers. Why not Exo Factory; Robots built by Robots in Robots fighting Robots in Robots... Quote
DuckBricks Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Been thinking about just buying all the sets that I'm missing online, instead of wasting time hoping store-to-store. Nah, I think the duo set is $30 if I remember, so one of the characters is going to have to be at least the size of a $20 Toa. Ah, I see. Perhaps they will be both $15 models as both Ekimu and Makuta have gears on their backs in the animation, making them larger than Protector sizes... Quote
Nekchir Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) Managed to order the sets so that will hopefully tide me over till the Summer images leak... xD Since we already got the supposed set names, I suspect with a couple of months we should start seeing the prelims' of the next wave trickle in slowly. Aanchir Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 What with CCBS components, Exo-Force II or similar could be a beautiful thing. I actually think it could be really cool if an Exo-Force reboot (or another theme in the same vein) used mini-dolls like the Friends and Elves sets. Their more human-like shapes and faces would be ideal for the Exo-Force theme's anime-inspired art direction. There would be less of a discrepancy between the art direction and the products themselves than there was with the old sets and comics. Now, I know that kind of thing is extremely unlikely to happen, since an Exo-Force reboot would almost certainly still primarily target boys, and boys still generally prefer the classic minifigure. But a guy can dream... Quote
Nekchir Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 And there's Toy Fair in February, correct? Yeah, and Comic-Con in July or something. Quote

GoldenChi Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 While the app game is nothing more than an interactive toy commercial,it does offer some insight as to the general story of the first wave that the magazines have been hinting at; After the Toa find their golden masks, they're all going to eventually converge into the center of the island, where that ancient city is located, and where the masks were originally forged at,and where all the secrets and stuff lay. It'll be interesting to see what happens when they all meet each other for the first time,or if they're aware of each other existence and hopefully this is shown in the websiodes. Also,my favorite part was the fact that the PoI's saw is not only a weapon and a shield, but a bobsled: http://i.imgur.com/Ajg2Q1J.jpg?1 Quote
Aanchir Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 I just played Gali's campaign. It was fun! In one level I got a combo of like 150-something, which was awesome. There's this cool special attack you can do with the special attack button that darts back and forth attacking everything in the area, but I'm having a hard time figuring out just what I have to do to replicate it (though I've managed to do it quite a few times now). The BIONICLE website has now been updated so it doesn't include this info anymore (which stinks — at least BS01 has a record of them) but I'm guessing the two different types of special attack correspond to the Toa's "signature moves" that used to be listed on the site. So the shockwave-type special move Gali has would be Wavestorm, and the dash special move would be Tidal Charge. Quote
Mandate Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 What with CCBS components, Exo-Force II or similar could be a beautiful thing. No thanks. CCBS is all fine and dandy but it's nothing like the art style and aim of Exo-Force. I actually think it could be really cool if an Exo-Force reboot (or another theme in the same vein) used mini-dolls like the Friends and Elves sets. Their more human-like shapes and faces would be ideal for the Exo-Force theme's anime-inspired art direction. Provided there were actual legs on the Minidolls I don't think anyone could complain about that. Quote
TheDesuComplex Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 I played through Pohatu's campaign and I can also say that, while it is a bit mindless, it is plenty of fun to bash Skull Spiders. LoSS also makes a good boss. Quote

It appears you have to "charge" it on the lower right side, there's a level one attack which is standard and if you do not use it you can get up to level two attack, which is that. Kinda hard to explain, but hope you get it... As for the PoI bobsled, I was having major MoL flashbacks when I first saw it... Remember when Jaller and Takua rode Kopaka's shield as a sled? That was great! Quote

DuckBricks Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Just commenting on the hexagonal shape of the fire landscape... Kinda looks like Giant's Causeway to me, but the first thought that sprang into my head was that it was very reminiscent of the later Matoran language.... Quote
Nekchir Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 There's a Walmart innovatory checker available, if anybody wants to check it out. It says there's no Bio2015 in stock for a lot of people, but someone might get lucky. Quote

(He causes a bunch of thorny vines to hit everyone.) Doesn't look like any Blade flight or Cleave sprint I've ever seen. Edited January 2, 2015 by Bigger Fish Quote

I've got a gearbox working with "Lewa" clearance around the gears. So its definitely possible to squeeze it on a protector. Quote
Echo Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Got all of the Toa today. Very impressed. Far superior to the Chima megabuilds. Quote
MakutaOfWar Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 All this talk about the game makes me want to find the fps bionicle heroes. v-v Anyways I have recently gotten this months magazine, the poster in the center of the pamphlet reminds me of bionicle. c_c Quote
