In another 10 years, I'd be about 30 so I hope Bionicle doesn't come back, lol.

I'll probably be bored of action figures by then.

After Bionicle G2 ends, it needs some sort of spiritual successor, while having a different environment/theme instead of the usual "island paradise in peril" thing. Not that there's anything wrong with it in the first place.

"Okay guys, we need a new constraction theme."

"And the peaceful people are threatened by a warrior alien species who abducts this kid an-"

"Why not?"

"We do not speak of the dark times."

I would say that I want a sci-fi theme, but Hero Factory has already covered that.

You'd be surprised. The TF fandom is almost exclusively men who are at least 35. Heck, I'm 27 and this LEGO stuff still has me enraptured, and I'm one of the "kids" at several cons.

Hey! I liked Galidor! (Seriously, I really did like that theme. Nice character designs.)

I'm not alone! =P

Once I got over my initial distaste for how un-LEGO they were, I found them rather charming.

Yeah, I also just realized that with a few more specialized parts, namely involving the beds, the line could really work well with the CCBS.

Solution to the Lewa neck issue and to putting the gear box on the Protectors :D

The second gear knob is for the chest shooter. movement is much smoother.

Guys i was thinking...now that we'll probably have the "Mask Maker" set in August (maybe)..i watched closely the "Legend" video and i've noticed something (maybe anyone has noticed that before me) : if you look closely at Ekimu while he "shot" Makuta head with his hammer, you can see a gear behind him (the same behind each toa in their animation) but Ekimu is drawed in its protector size...so maybe in August we will have a Protector Size Ekimu, but with a Gearbox?

I have noticed that, I just figured others did also because I'm pretty sure this was discussed. But you don't give a character an awesome hammer and no gear function in gen 2 Bionicle. XD I also noticed Makuta's hammer has the gatling gun the protectors have but on the tip of it. Possibly Ekimu's as well.

On the topic though I picture Skull Grinder as a top heavy character but hopefully larger then Onua. This set better grind my wallet.

Edit: Yup, Ekimu has two of the protector launchers on his hammer. One on both sides, such awesome. XD

So awesome Ekimu's Hammer.Well, for the January Wave i'll buy Only Tahu,Pohatu,Kopaka,Lewa aaaand maybe some protector.I don't care so much about LoSS because i will spend so much money for the August wave (they'll be all villains, except the "Mask Maker") so,i'll buy the Bad Guys in August plus Ekimu (and they'll be sooo much expensive than LoSS,i think).

I find it more interesting that Ekimu's "armor extension" (what PoF and PoE have) is facing upwards rather than forward in that picture. Could be just for the sake of stylization, but it's interesting nonetheless.

Hello, new guy here but a fan of Bionicle from the beginning. My first set was Pohatu Mata and I still remeber building him for the first time.

I come with a question regarding the availability of the new sets in certain countries mainly because I still haven't found the sets here in The Netherlands. I checked multiple toy stores in my city but they all still sell Hero Factory.(albeit in small numbers but still)

Has there been any word on certain countries getting the sets at a later date than 1st of January or is it possible the stores haven't put them on the shelves yet?

Thanks in advance.

Yup, the 4-prong gear on Ekimu's back was noticed quite a long time ago. I doubt they would include a detail so specific to Ekimu like that when they don't have a set of him already made. The set will most likely consist of Ekimu with a Protector build and a gear function driving his hammer arm.

I believe that in Europe, Bionicle will go on sale Febuary 1st.

I know your pain man...unfortunately i think that the 1st January release date was only for US because, for example, here where i live,in Italy, the new sets will be available after 11/01/2015 so i presume that every state has a different relase date (not all,i think).

The only thing that i can suggest to you is : Search everyday for every online shop in your country until you see an "Available Date".

I think that the small BIONICLE magazine for the story included in the December-January LEGO Club magazine sounds like a good promotion to some of us old BIONICLE fans and even subscribers who doesn't know it well,

P.S: I have noticed that my order is complete. Looking forward to it!

For real? That's quite a bummer.

Hmmm, thanks for the tip. One of the stores has them on the site but listed as "Reserve now". So i'll be keeping an eye out for the "Available thing.

Hey! Welcome to Eurobricks, my friend! :sweet:

I didn't want to start a whole new topic on it, but I wanted an answer to my minor problem.

I rather like the Protector of Earth but one thing i find is that he seems a bit thin about the waist and torso, but I can't find a way of making him slightly more filled out without removing the Gatling gun in his chest which I don't want to do as that would detract from his character originality too much. Has anyone found a way of fixing this?

Oh and welcome to EB Bbrink1996!

That's a tricky one. The solution that comes immediately to mind is to make a custom torso, using Technic bits and ball-cups. It should be a good deal easier than usual with the POE, since he isn't adorned with any shells on his chest.

Does anyone remember those 500 pieces buckets that Bionicle had back then? I never owned one but I think that it would be cool if LEGO released one for CCBS in later years. I could dream...

Yeah, I had a few. They're obnoxious to own because they're basically filled with the most useless Bionicle/Technic pieces ever and then some somewhat useful ones mixed in. I have a ton of multicoloured Hockey people bodies because of that and they're large and very hard to use. If they made one for CCBS that would be much better as CCBS is actually useful and works with each other unlike all those obscure Bionicle and Technic parts from over the years.

Hm, thanks I'll have to try that at some point...

That'd be great!

Just got Gali! I'm really happy with the set and the only things that truly bother me are the shoulder pads, the (way too) heavy weapon, and the exposed balljoints (which aren't that bad)

My mods involve bulking up his shoulders and legs. Even though it doesn't do much to the specific region, the bulk does help the overall look. One thing you could try is hanging something from the exposed hole directly above the hips, perhaps a Throwbot foot.
