arc Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Even though I can't tell what they're saying, I really liked these. Although I wish LoSS did a little more. And the toa awaking the skull gang by trespass is confirmed, really excited for the next episodes! Quote
DuckBricks Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Poor LOSS is defeated so easily. He's half the size of the Toa, but that should mean he's at least a large threat. Spitting is all he did... no crushing action? Agreed. I liked the animations, but defeating LOSS felt like Kopaka defeating a Kane-Ra in MNOLG, or even shorter. I wanted a bigger, badder boss fight. Oh, well, I guess there's always later on... First rule of fictional death. If you don't find the corpse, the guy's still alive. Ha! This is actually plausible, we've seen baby skull spiders scale vertical cliffs, so why not LOSS? Quote
jaller Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) Finally something in my language!! Well,it seems that we have to wait until June-July for new episode! P.S - For me,the voice of Ekimu is really really awful (he's like an old man, whitch for me is bad),i've imagined him with a badass voice...i hope that English translation will be better. Phoenix_Flare Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) Yup! Eleven episode dedicated to the Skull Army is gonna be fun. But yes, they are far better then Hero Factory. May I also the skeletal hand is gray. I wouldn't go as far as saying that these episodes are "far better" than Hero Factory's. That's like saying Kill la Kill's episodes are better than Panty & Stocking's episodes. There non't really comparable. They're two different series.Sure, HF had it's dull moments but the series is STILL enjoyable. You guys need to stop bashing Hero Factory... Also, how would you compare Hero Factory Eps to Bionicle Eps? Also be reasonable about this; HF deserves credit too! Edited January 26, 2015 by Phoenix_Flare Quote
Bbrink1996 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Is it just me or is Pohatu's personality similair to the Kopaka from the old Bionicle? He seems like a loner and being super serious throughout the episodes. Also, these episodes need to come out in English like right now. Quote
Mutant Orc Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Funny how one of the structures behind Lewa in the 'Episodio Web 9' at this point - - has been made to look like armour/a plate. Quote

Vinyl Scratch Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 HOOOO that ending. Skull Army'll be sweet. Quote
jaller Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) Here's a translation of episodes 8 and 9! (Yes,i know,it's not a perfect english, but i tried!) Episode 8: Tahu: Who is that..."thing"? Pohatu: The Lord of the Skull Spiders,we can't be more fast than him. Kopaka: Stay cool,i can freeze that insect. Lewa: mff, you're too slow Kopaka Gali: The water will take him away. Tahu: Leave him to the Master of Fire (FIYAAAA). Onua: We have to act together! Narrator: The six heroes joined together and attacked the enemy like they were a single force. Tahu: Onua,NOW!!! Onua: UUUAAAH Gali: We've done it!! If they join together, the masks have the power to defeat evil! END Episode 9 : Narrator: The Lord of Skull Spider...was finally defeated. Pohatu: Who know how it was here once. Tahu: Shh,shut up!I can hear that strange voice in my head, again! Ekimu(well, that escalated quickly): I am Ekimu, the mask maker. You all have shown great courage, you're heroes! But now,you all must hurry, and find the place where i rest! Gali: We must find Ekimu before evils. Lewa: Find something among this ruins is like "trying to find a needle in a haystack" ! Onua: Oh!The masks will lead us! Pohatu: I don't like this place...there's something bad here. THE END Edited January 26, 2015 by jaller Quote
Vinyl Scratch Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Have to say, after these animations I'm really loving Pohatu and Onua, they're really awesome. Sucks that Onua is so expensive here though... Quote

DraikNova Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) While the slapstick comedy of the episodes is kind of funny, I think HF is really underrated. Having rewatched IfB a few times, the animation is stellar, and the writing is a lot better than it seems the first time. But yes, LoSS defeating each of the toa in exactly the same manner is hilarious. Also, LoSS is female; note the lack of enlarged pedipalps. Or any pedipalps at all. I do hope that the LoSS gets another chance at defeating the toa, preferably with enough power to actually take more than thirty seconds to be defeated. Edited January 26, 2015 by DraikNova Quote
CabooseBM Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I think I'm going to hold off on the episodes until after they show up in english, so uh hopefully they aren't completely spoiled for me by then. Quote

Toa of Gallifrey Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) I'm watching them with the automatic translation subtitles even though I can sort of comprehend from context. Apparently the 8th one is an episode of Axis Powers Hetalia in which Tahu is United States and Gali is Canada. Also LOSS is a metaphor for economy and bad comedy series. Yeah, better watch these without subtitles. OH GOD! When Ekimu started talking to Tahu in episode 9 the first thing he said is "I'm pregnant". I'm dying. Timeline15 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Pohatu's "we have company" followed by LoSS appearing from the side of the cliff was awesome. And it seems Kopaka and Tahu )or indeed, Kopaka and everyone else) still have their rivalry, with the two even physically fighting this time. I wasn't following back in 2001, did it ever come to that in the original story? Great to finally see a couple of episodes of entirely inter-character dialogue, after the surplus of narration. Can't wait till the English version gets here. I want to see Pohatu in all his London geezer glory XD. Quote

Quisoves Pugnat Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I must say that I prefer the Italian narrator to the English and Czech-speaking ones. In terms of gravitas and vocal flexibility, he blows them out of the water. Quote
Agent Fusion Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I needn't say anything. Well, romance is canon in this universe... Quote
