ToaDraco Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 I would LOVE it if we got trans red shells and such. I too am sick of trans orange. We got purple back so there might be hope for trans red. Quote
Kalhiki Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 I don't mind trans orange. But that's probably because I'm a sucker for fluorescent parts. Quote
Logan McOwen Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 (edited) Trans red shells and bones would honestly not look that bad next to/on top of brighter colours. Have you ever seen the canopies on some of the old Space Police sets? Those are trans-red, and they work perfectly. If you were to have trans-red shells, they could be used alongside silver, or on top of grey bones. It really wouldn't look as bad as you think. I mean, the new trans-purple bones are barely noticeable when used with black shells, but put them under a white or silver shell, and they really shine. Edited April 2, 2015 by LewiMOC Quote
Phoenix_Flare Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Well, I'm not sure if anyone has seen this but I found it on the VK Bionicle page: http://cs624823.vk.me/v624823641/27763/IPrJXEvzh-g.jpg Seems to be a birds eye view of the Ancient City! Quote

Zenerius Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 That's kind of insane. Way too coincidental for that to have not been inspired by the logo at least. Cool find! Quote
Dr_Chronos Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 hm hmm HMM Before I thought the city looked like Destral. Now I cannot unsee that. Mind is blown. Quote

GK733 Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 (edited) Is it official or fan-made ? Same source as the Russian Okoto alphabet. Give or take. Edited April 2, 2015 by GK733 Quote
Dorek Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 I think we deduced that the Russian Okoto alphabet wasn't technically "official", it was just specific to their own activities and minigames that they were doing. Worth noting at some point, but not a precise system like the Matoran Alphabet was. As for that map, though, digging the similarities. Official or not, it's pretty cool. Quote
Kalhiki Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 (edited) Oh no. Cannot unsee. Bionicle G2 is secretly Doo Heads. EDIT: In terms of whether or not it's official, I took a look at some shots of the city from the Animations. By the looks of it, everything is correctly placed. The bridge leads to a large structure (in the animations, it's the protector mask building), and the northwestern building is the Mask Makers' forge (also in the correct position. In other words, if it's not official, everything is so nicely placed that it might as well be. Edited April 2, 2015 by Kalhiki Quote
Master_Data Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 (edited) Mind blown. The city was actually built upon a gigantic Doo-Head! Edited April 2, 2015 by Master_Data Quote
WARHEAD Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 You have no idea how badly I wish they went with the Doo-heads idea instead of the final Bionicle designs. Quote
Aanchir Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 (edited) SPIRIT confirmed over on BZPower that this (and the Okoto alphabet) are fan-made. That BIONICLE page on VK is an unofficial community currently doing some sort of Okoto expedition role-playing game and these are materials they created to supplement it. I'll still consider it canon. Like I said before, it seems to follow what we already have seen fairly closely (no glaring discrepancies). Quote
Dorek Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Yeah, even if it's not real, they have some talented/dedicated guys working on it. Wish I had that kind of help... =P Quote

I knew the page was fan-run, but i thought these were official things regardless that fans were finding. Also, their was the following which was updated over several days providing more information about Okoto; Have we got any confirmation on who made these then if they are supposed to be non-official? Tazakk Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Even though the page has a lot of fan contribution, there is an official LEGO presence there and the map is real. Check this and read the comments. Quote

WARHEAD Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 That first pic is a 'shop of that one piece of concept art we got ages ago. The other two are official though. Quote
Kalhiki Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Really liking the last two (the first just seems to be the old Ancient City concept art, but reversed and nighttime. Still cool, though). I love seeing environment concepts even more-so than character concept art. Quote
MakutaOfWar Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Yeah the first one I have on my phone but in daylight. I'm not a fanboy, OKAY? ...yeah, okay, maybe I am. Quote
