Now that all the episodes for 1HY2015 are out, I've compiled all nine episodes into a single video, cutting out all of the unnecessary repetition. Came out to about twelve and a half minutes. I did the best I could with the audio transitions, but it ends up a tad awkward in places - there was really only so much I could do. In any case, enjoy!

Said I would watch it, and I did. Awesome job, man. Some of the transitions were a bit awkward, yes, but there's not much that could be done with that. It was exactly what I was hoping for. All of the episodes make for a nice "short film" of sorts.

Little sad you didn't add The Legend into the mix, though. Was more of a preview episode, but it would have been nice to see it added.

Regardless, still a fantastic job.

Unrelated (when I am ever on topic?) but new Club page, mostly uninteresting (although it uses Masters as an official term so suck it).

Also note that the Protector of Water is referred to as 'he.' Which could be cool and expectation-defying if a few of the other Protectors that haven't been identified yet are female, but somehow I doubt that is the case.

Thanks! I considered (and even toyed around with) adding in The Legend, but the degree of separation LEGO put between it and the main series put me off. On top of that, it would have been essentially impossible to create a smooth transition between it and episode one - rather than include it and have a really ugly transition, I though it was best to do things this way.

And again, it uses it as an individual descriptor, not as a team name, group name, or species name. When referring to the Toa as a group, it still calls them Toa, just like every other story resource I've seen.

You can keep calling them Masters as a group name as long as you like, but unless BIONICLE media actually starts using it that way, it will still be wrong. And there's no point using a completely unsubstantiated team name when there's a perfectly serviceable name that's been used consistently to refer to the characters as a group (Toa). It isn't like you're having to invent a term because an official one doesn't exist. You're just refusing to use the official name for the team because it's already being used for the characters as a class of beings. 'Cuz it's not like a BIONICLE name has ever referred to both a class of beings and a team before...

Could be a typo, I guess, but it is more specific than just their "father to son" thing... maybe some of the other ones will be female.

Ehh, calling it now that Tahu's gonna win. I'm voting for Onua, but its unlikely. We already have seen the combination model for Tahu and Kopaka, so I want to see more...

EDIT: Just voted. Hey, guess who's in the lead? Sigh... No wonder Tahu gets all the attention in the webisodes. The kiddies adore him too much.

Wouldn't it be the other way around? Tahu was the one they promoted heavily (because red sets always focus test well, but still) so that's why he's getting the votes.

Besides, they'll probably release more of their alternate models as the year goes along. I too want to see Molenua.

I wouldn't mind seeing the animation art used for the graphic novel, but I'd love to see the artist behind the Invasion from Below and a bunch of the Bionicle Promo art illustrate it, too.

Both look really, stunningly nice, though one lends itself more to beautiful panoramas and the other has already proven itself as far as expression and visual storytelling goes, so it could go either way, really.

It's the writing I'm worried about, to be honest. The animations are good for what they are, but LEGO hasn't exactly had a great track record.

I am getting ahead of myself here, but when should we expect to see leaks/actual info in regards to the Winter 2016 sets? I'm not all that confident that those rumours from that channer, no matter how convinced others are.

July at the very earliest, but August / September is most likely when we'll see info on next year's new sets crop up. I personally view the rumours as neither correct nor incorrect, because at this point in time, anything could be possible.

As I understand it, it works both ways. Red sets tend to sell well automatically, and so they are given increased story prominence to reflect that. And in turn that boosts their popularity even further.

Even if this sort of poll had been conducted in 2001, when the story media focused much less on Tahu, I think you'd have seen somewhat similar results.

I picked up an additional 2 PoJ's today while shopping in Tesco, since it turned out that the particular store I was at, they had marked some of them 75% off, making them £2.50 each. I couldn't resist them at that price! I noticed the ones sold under the "assortment A" label were 75% off, but the ones sold under the "assortment B" label were only 20% off. Does anybody in the UK know which Protectors fall under assortment A and which under assortment B in Tesco? I know PoF and PoW come under assortment B, and PoJ came under assortment A, and I'm sure it's based on which ones are shipped together or something like that. I was wondering which of the other 3 Protectors fell into which category so I could see if I could find the same deal in other stores.

YMMV of course

^Speaking of which, I've noticed in the recent magazines(why do they keep sending them, I registered in 06' -.-) that there has been some scarce advertising of Bionicle, with only the two pages in each of the last two mags. I guess it could be because of that pamphlet they gave earlier this year, but I'm still afraid that if they don't promote it more it won't make the necessary sales and end up like HF, which I think had a serious lack of advertising aside from the television specials.

I think people vastly overestimate the advertising in previous generation; if there wasn't some kind of building contest (which there often was, granted!) or a comic, there was usually only a page or two dedicated to BIONICLE. The actual magazine content we've gotten so far is pretty on par with that.

Haha, now that I re-located my old trove of magazines, I've been going through them to find some old building contests. And don't get me wrong, some of them had tons of BIONICLE content. But still, we're only half a year in (and so far there's been something every issue!). I think the next year or two is when it'll hit its stride.

I certainly hope Gen 2 has a bright future. I'm just worried they'll drop functions. -.-

Depends on how well-received they are. But I wouldn't worry; I doubt they would let the new gearbox piece go to waste so soon.
