Toa_Bomb Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 I'm not sure if you're referring to me or Eljay when you say "Jay" and seeing as I don't remember Eljay speaking at the time the Vahi was brought up, then I'm astounded someone actually remembered my original username, let alone refer to me with it But I do agree with you, the final nail has yet to be put in the coffin. From what Merlin said, it's safe to assume that at the very least the story team is still working on the concepts at hand and that we won't get a definitive answer until either the Vahi does show up or the line ends, and assuming it doesn't happen people will claim it was a "planned feature". A link between worlds ( ) doesn't necessarily have to be in the form of the Vahi; Vezon and Brutaka both had Olmaks at one point and there's always the hundred billion other dimensions where everyone was mercilessly slaughtered for entertainment by the Grand Author Farshtey that might show up . Only time will tell if they choose to go down this path (no pun intended). hey thats my joke Quote
The Outsider Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 It's fun to see even the story team actually wanted the webisodes to feel like a story being told by someone else (though in my opinion, they should've added a few cuts to scenes similar to a campfire gathering or G1's stone theatres, just to make that idea clear). Let's hope the summer animations pass that feeling better. As for LOSS, I don't hate him per se, just the wasted potential. I just think he could have been more menacing and a better challenge, even as a starter villain. Quote

Bigger Fish Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 You know, if the whole thing was being told by the PoF, then that's a pretty good explanation on why the first few episodes were so Tahu-Focused. Quote
Kalhiki Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Maybe when all is said and done, they'll have something at the end where it's shown that PoF was telling the story to the villagers. "For this is the tale of the Bionicle." ... Or whatever... Quote

"For this is the tale of the Bionicle." ... Or whatever... But the narrator sounds nothing like POF, so it can't be him.....But I do hope that the narrator ends up being a canon character. (But I, personally, don't believe the whole "baby villager=Takua=chronicler=narrator" theory). Quote
One Very Agile Cat Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 But the narrator sounds nothing like POF, so it can't be him.... That's literally impossible. Every single voice is done by the same guy. Quote

What if it's Makuta? And at the end he turns good and is telling the villagers the story? "Don't do drugs wear super-powerful masks, kids." Quote

The Outsider Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 (edited) That's literally impossible. Every single voice is done by the same guy. Yes, but he uses a different tone for each. PoF's is different from the narration voice, so it can't be him. Agreed, not believing the baby villager theory. And true, it doesn't need to be POF. What if it's Makuta? And at the end he turns good and is telling the villagers the story? "Don't do drugs wear super-powerful masks, kids." And then one of the villagers listening to the story will accuse him of making things up all along, and decides to search for the MoUP himself. Seriously, though, I actually like that idea, if only because it's more interesting to see a villain reformed than defeated. Then again, a lot of series have played the redemption card already (Transformers:Prime, MLP (frequently), even Ninjago and Legends of Chima), so it might be better to go a different route this time Edited May 24, 2015 by The Outsider Quote
One Very Agile Cat Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Yes, but he uses a different tone for each. PoF's is different from the narration voice, so it can't be him. Whomever the narrator is, he's putting on different tones and inflection for every character anyway, he could be embelishing his own voice.Or it could be a different Protector of Fire. But saying it's not him because the voices aren't the same is directly contrary to the real life fact of all the voices being the same guy. Quote
MakutaOfWar Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 (edited) I would think in terms of marketing that they would have gotten a female voice actor for Gali(allegedly the Korean version has one?), doesn't seem smart as younger viewers would probably believe she a dude. Edited May 24, 2015 by MakutaOfWar Quote
One Very Agile Cat Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 The interview with the writer explains the decision, though. They weren't meant to talk as much, since all dialogue is the narrator's. Lego wanted more dialogue, but things were set in stone by that point. Maybe next year? Quote

Toa_Bomb Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Please make your posts more relevant to the topic- these are hardly adding anything to the discussion. Thanks Okay, yeah, sorry. I'll keep it related. In related news, I would think in terms of marketing that they would have gotten a female voice actor for Gali(allegedly the Korean version has one?), doesn't seem smart as younger viewers would probably believe she a dude. Yes she does. I watched the Korean version when it leaked so I could at least understand what was happening in the next episode. Got soooo mad when they had a female actor for Gali. Quote
One Very Agile Cat Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 All the voices in the Korean version were awesome, really. It's a damn shame because Gali is easily my favourite of 2015 both in set and personality. Quote
Clone 01354 Productions Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 I think that the Italian version was the best, in terms of voice acting. Whoever the voice actor was, he had such emotion in his voice, and each character sounded great.......But I still think that the English narrator does a pretty fine job (especially on Pohatu! ) And also, I'm calling it now: the narrator is the Protector of Jungle. He is so important in the story right now!! But really, it's a shame that we didn't get to see any of the other Protectors' personalities...... Quote

We got a tiny tiny bit of personality with Jungle and Stone, maybe Ice, but not even through dialogue. Quote
GK733 Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 They already believe she's male :/ Well at least they are "pandering" to the old audience by making the same mistakes :P Quote
Nekchir Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 I hope we get new masks for the Toa in 2016. 'Nuva' versions would be nice to see. Quote
