You could also put it on Skull Basher which definitely isn't the worst set. :P

After having seen both of them a little more, I'm starting to think Basher is the worst set.

Personally i let Basher get a pass most the time due to the mechanism (Atleast it shows someone put effort into the design). What'd you dislike about him?

Temple of Time, Ancient City, the "Greatest Volcano" and a bunch of generic shrines. If you're looking for particular places, there's the Forge, the crater where Ekimu and Makuta fought and uh... yeah that's basically it.

Ah, ok, thanks. Hopefully Summer will give us more location details

Well, we do know some of the landmarks of the Ancient City thanks to the summer set descriptions and packages, such as the graveyard where Skull Scorpio prowls and the ancient arena where Skull Slicer was a former champion.

Also, for what it's worth, Tahu and Gali's descriptions refer to, respectively, a volcanic and an oceanic crater. These could be the craters that Makuta and Ekimu created when they fell.

Just wish we had names, details and actual locations its better than simply knowing that there is an Arena somewhere on Okoto. I mean the Graveyard we can guess is somewhere in the ancient city, but it'd be nice to know exact places

I thought the oceanic crater was the one with the whirlpool where Gali found her golden mask?

Didn't they ? The names have also been translated in french, and slightly modified in italian (only MMvSG's name is translated). For Spain they did keep the english names, though.

I thought it was clear I was referencing the names printed on the boxes.

Germany is actually the company's primary market for total sales. It outsells all other regions in total sales. Not percentage, but actual sales. North America is second.

THAT SAID, the primary market for BIONICLE is indeed North America. And Hero Factory became Russia as the line went on.

Did this create an amount of russian media dedicated to HF comparable to the one North America got (while Europe didn't...) during Bionicle's run, as far as you know?

Basher is the second worst set, after Scorpio. Because you can pose Basher, and he has a slightly better inventory. His function, though, doesn't work well (the blades often get stuck, either with each other or with the massive leg armors, making impossible for the arms to go back to their initial position, which is terribly annoying, so you have to spread them if you want to avoid that), only the side movement works properly, and his horns are so big that you almost can't touch the set without knocking the mask. Plus, his arms need space to move, and because of that, the shoulder area is empty, with detracts from his bulky appearance.

Scorpio and Basher have the same issue : both of them suffer from their respective functions, but they have opposite "symptoms". The difference is that Scorpio is ugly and can't be posed, but his function is fun and works well, while Basher can be posed, doesn't look so bad (except his empty shoulders), but his function is far from working properly.

I thought it was clear I was referencing the names printed on the boxes.

Nope, sorry. :p

Anyways, the names are written on the back of the boxes (in english, german, french, portuguese, hungarian, russian and polish, if I'm correct). Sure, it's not really visible, because it's written in a small font on the back of the box, but it's better than nothing. And translate the names on the front of the boxes for each country would have been too expensive to print, and would certainly be a nightmare on the logistics level.

At least Scorpio doesn't manage to make purple clash with tr. purple. I'm not sure how you can make a color clash with its translucent equivalent, but they definitely managed it with Skull Basher.

You know what? The skull creeps are awesome, but if they're armor add-ons had been streaked with a bit of orange, they would've been 20% cooler.

Something has been bugging me recently, we know the three main masks are likely going to be coming out at an annual pace. Though what about the Mask Of Time? Not the G1 Mask Of Time, but the Mask that has been mentioned one or twice as being used at the Temple Of Time to summon the Toa.

Are we going to see it eventually? If so, will we get it in set form? When?

Feel that would have just made the orange clash even more with the sets other than Grinder

No problem :D

I know it would be a nightmare, and that's exactly why I'd love some made up name: no problems with translation. But I'm becoming boring by now, so i'll just cut it :P

Depends if the story arc goes as excepted (creation, control, power). It's a three year planned but quite possibly will be extended and I doubt that time will be that big thing before 2018. Or if they just decide to wrap the mask same year as some other as less significant. Or extend the search for Moup 1 year to allow time for the third. It's hard to predict these things when there are so many options.

I have a feeling we might see something like the reverse of the golden Skull Spider mask: we'll get a bit of in the story, but we'll most likely not get it in an actual set. At least not any time soon.

I recall some employees at NYCC(?) saying that the Gen 2 Mask of Time was a full-face mask. So they have a design for it. Makes me assume we'll see it in a set/polybag/give away at some point.

I'm guessing that it'll be basically an Eleventh Hour Supermask, used to defeat the MoUP in BIONICLE's final confrontation.

Tahu smells déjà vu.

I don't know. During the ramp up to last year's NYCC event, we talked a bit with some of the LEGO employees in charge of promoting the lines, and they sort of off-handedly mentioned that Hero Factory had become the best-selling theme in Russia, and that Russia's HF sales were higher than anywhere else. They seemed as baffled by it as we were. It's actually the reason that LEGO Russia sent a delegation of RUSBIONICLE fans to NYCC with LEGO Russia's money. They wanted to ride that popularity into BIONICLE 2015.

Lol that's actually pretty funny. I didn't know about that.

Might be odd to know, but there are no teen or AFOL fans of Hero Factory here in Russia, 6-10 yrs old kids mostly.

Well, that's certainly not true. I met several Russian AFOL fans at NYCC, we even had a joint BZP/RUSBIONICLE hangout at Central Park one day. It was pretty fun, they gave us Mask of Creation mask cutouts!

Maybe they were Bionicle fans?

But anyway, your words about russian AFOLS (and maybe fans of HF) don't contradict with fact that there are no "adults fans of Lego Hero Factory" in Russia. Maybe some rare examples exist, but their quantity is so small as compared with russian biofans for example.

Actually there are. Just look at the moderators of БДЖ.

But yeah, it's most likely hurting the feelings of the Russians, the fact that they are being called HF fans. Better call them adult Bio-fans, 'cause most of them don't buy Lego outside of Bionicle anyway. They spend their money on Warhammer and MLP. No offense here.

Nah, we're all Bionicle fans. -tahu_nuva- is for sure and he doesn't like HF as far as I know. Can't say for Sergey Degay, he gave us a lot of reasons to hate. He became a *fan* as soon as he got an invitation to NYCC.

Well, БДЖ is something most don't get at all. It was made of two different sites, and there's still nothing but a forum. I can name only one AFOL there who's still active, Lehvak.

Well, yeah. Some of us are surely mlp and warhammer fans. Not me, though. I drink vodka, play the balalaika and count topol m's in my basement. :P

Looks like it's not a lie when they say italians are lazy.

The summer wave won't reach stores until september, even though the italian section of the Lego Shop lists the sets as available.

Grrrr.

Oh, I don't see anything bad or humiliating in inviting fans of BIONICLE as fans of HF. Both of them are Action figures. More, BIONICLE transformed into HF in the past and then HF transformed into BIONICLE again.

But I believe that Rusbionicle AFOL was invited because of word BIONICLE.

And what about mee :cry_sad:
