Speaking of, we've had Ninjago and we're hopefully going to have this, but what's the full list of LEGO themes that have been revived? For example, Scala was brought back and retooled.

I agree with you... :P

Wait, isn't the pic colourized from a non blurry black and white pic but it was done by someone on deviantart? I'm sorry if this has already been mentioned.

There are 3 pictures:

1)The original b/w one we got in July, which shows about half the sets

2)A coloured, very crappy and blurry version of the b/w one, which we were requested to not link or share in any way (as that would cause the leaker to be fired)

3)The high quality (..well, it's not that great, but it's impressive having it in August) colour one we have now, which shows all the sets.

Yes, this picture was linked in description of one of TTV videos on youtube, it is just on Majhost and it is under maintenance currently.

Ok, because I heard one of the famous colored ones was done by someone on Deviantart editing the black and white one

There was somebody on deviantART who did that for part of one of the black and white images, but I wouldn't call that image "famous". In any case, that particular image is not the one most people are referring to, since it doesn't show every set — in fact, it doesn't show ANY of the packaging, just the key visual with Tahu and the mystery mask.

I had mentioned this on the TTV Bionicle discussion forum as well, these images aren't conclusive. Look how much leaked photos of previous rendered HF and bionicle sets have changed from the short time they were leaked later in the year to when they came out? That could just be some background fluff. It doesn't necessarily mean anything here. The cold sucky truth is that until we get anything else, I think we've gleamed all we're going to get out of this image. Zooming in and speculating based on grainy pixelated color blobs in the background of a photo within a photo is pretty inane I'd say.

Sometimes, a volcano is just a volcano.

And yes, these sets are not shown in their final stage. No way only Tahu and Lewa have printed chests, all six are going to in the final versions. And I still somehow think the Defenders are not going to have the same mask.

Agreed, I can't see them going that direction either. Not uless they're more like idols or golems, but I find that highly unlikely. Though I do miss the days when we got the same part in all 6 sets because that meant that new part had more color versatility right off the bat. I doubt they'll go back to that though. Seems like we'll still be getting the CCBS style of new parts and recolors, which I'm okay with to. I'm still not a fan of printed parts though, at least when its a recolored part we haven't gotten blank yet that has a print on it. I want flat red and blue chests dang it! :sceptic:

I wish they released those chests without printing, like they had begun to do with the Breakout torsos (what a wasted piece, BTW- I'm still immensely annoyed they stopped using it after 2012). Alas, they never did, and last time I checked HF pieces on PaB had largely disappeared- the project looks pretty dead.

I do like the Toa chests (if Tahu is anything to go by, the designs are going to be much more tribal looking than sci-fi like- I just hope they're more subtle, for versatility purposes), but since it appears we're finally getting gold and probably silver chests (looks *yawn* titanium metallic on Lewa, but the rest of his armour is silver.. ), I wish the PaB blank pieces were still around. There are some cool chest pieces with versatile designs (Iron Man, Queen and Crystal Beast), but most aren't..I hope the Toa ones fall into the the former.

You can still buy printed parts then remove the printing. I believe it works with a simple eraser, or with nail polish remover, but I never tried it myself.

On harder plastics (shells, bricks), nail varnish remover or white spirits/paint thinner does the trick. I'd be careful doing this on soft plastics however - I used nail varnish remover to remove the print on the Iron Man and Green Lantern chestplates... While the GL one came off alright, the IM one smudged a little bit at the edges, and both chestplates are now awfully matte feeling/looking. But on armour shells, it works a charm.

All I got from David Thomsen. Nothing new, I think.

Bionicle:

19.99 - Protector of Earth

19.99 - Protector of Fire

19.99 - Protector of Ice

19.99 - Protector of Jungle

19.99 - Protector of Stone

24.99 - Gali Master of Water

So the American and British prices would be $16.75 / £10.09 for the protectors/defenders, and $20.94 / £12.61 for Gali. The actual prices will probably differ though.

Are you using a currency converter? Because New Zealanders pay some of the worst markup for LEGO. For example, EVO Walker is $20 over there, and Crystal Beast is $25, so the Guardians/Defenders will probably be more like 10 USD/GBP, and Gali 15 USD/GBP.

... And then there would be four "titan" sets going for around twenty-twenty two euro? That's what it's like with Invasion From Below here, maybe the LOSS will cost more?

Yes, hence my second sentence.

Oops, sorry.

Euro prices seem to differ slightly between countries, but I think that at least Kopaka and Tahu would be at the price point. LOSS could cost more, and I'm starting to wonder if Onua will too, but it's hard to say....

Be aware that the NZD prices are drastically inflated in comparison to US/UK. Using a converter still gets you a conversion of the inflated price. Something between ten and twelve dollars/pounds could be over $20 in New Zealand.

So basically our predicted prices are about right.

How should we all celebrate!
