Hey all, here's my entry to the Winter Village contest: The Winter Village Lighthouse! The tree is going up and the presents have just arrived (although I wouldn't like to comment on the safety implications of adding lots of coloured lanterns to a lighthouse!).

Here's a link if you want to see a couple more photos: https://www.flickr.com/photos/130166625@N03/sets/72157649482961277/. Enjoy!

Wow! This looks fantastic.

Pretty unusual use of colours (for what i've seen on lighthouses), but that makes it kind of extra fun.

Just keep getting a potter feeling with this. But Potter is fun, Potter is christmas.

So really great job!

Really nice, love the idea ;) great job on the snow too!

The 1x1 bricks used for the christmas lights might be a bit too big for me, I would have used 1x1 round plates instead but hey wonderful job all around :)

What a truely great idea!

I love the look and the atmosphere of this MOC.

My favourite parts are the fire place and chimney, and decorating the tree.

Good luck, and keep clicking those bricks together!

Thanks for the comments :). A thought I'd stick to a winter-village-ish colour scheme than traditional lighthouse colours. I did try the lights with 1x1 round plates, but decided I preferred the round bricks as lanterns instead.
