MAH4546 Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Baseplates have retailed for $4.99 since the early 1990s. Surprised it took this long.
iamwhoiam Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 did you see them for that price? if so, where? Lego.com: http://shop.lego.com/en-CA/Sand-Baseplate-10699?fromListing=listing
TheLazyChicken Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 I doubt anyone would buy these for this price.
HawkLord Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 I can tolerate the $7.99 new price, but my only hope is that Lego makes more variety in the color of plates... I did buy the sand colored one a couple days ago because it was well needed for a Tatooine scene.
paul_delahaye Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Wow, only a couple of days ago, I said how it would be nice if LEGO started to sell Tan baseplates seperately, walk into the LEGO shop Watford today and vooom, Tan baseplates :-) Just brown and white required now in the same way…...
dr_spock Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 $9.99 CAD for a new tan baseplate doesn't seem so bad with BrickLink prices averaging $13CAD for tan new.
MusicaRibelle Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 It's my fault: all this time, I've been wondering who the heck was buying those baseplates at $8 or $10 on Amazon and in toy stores, when Lego was selling them directly for $5... darn :( Now I wonder if other onlie an offline stores will quickly match the increase or not.. bah.
