January 15, 201510 yr There seems to be much better movement of forks now. Good work. I'm excited to see what else you will do with the chassis. Is there a adder/subtractor mechanism, or similar to prevent vertical movement of the forks when sliding them horizontally? If there is, can you show us? I'm thinking of building such a mechanism for a tower crane, so it would be interesting to see it. -ED- Edited January 15, 201510 yr by Nazgarot
January 15, 201510 yr Author The mechanism of a tower crane is exactly what iam using. The end of the rope is bound to the forkside of the sideloader. Then the rope is, guided by some wheels, routed over the fork tower, then to the winch on the driver side.
January 17, 201510 yr This is shaping up nicely. What battery box are you going for? And where are you placing it? -ED-
January 18, 201510 yr i think You should make The movement faster, is it possible? You Will have more realistic MOC And also if you want To do a video it will be little bit boring :( anyway I really like you work And The mechanisms used in this Moc :)
January 18, 201510 yr Author Faster needs a change deep in the central frame. Tuesday i know if i have the time for this.
January 19, 201510 yr Efferman I do like but I agree it needs to be a bit quicker. In my opinion you could have used racks and worm gears to slide the sled....or a LAs. Third choice chains! But again....this mocs looks great to me!
January 23, 201510 yr Author The second chassis Version is almost done. The frame is more stiff, the steering has now ackermann geometry but a bit less steering angle.
January 24, 201510 yr really really really awesome *-* And it looks like The real one, are you planning To make a yellow cab? ;)
