The height comparison between the Prototype and the standard TIEs in that pic from Rebels is a problem of perspective. The viewpoint is from below the center of the fighter and the standard ones are farther away. They'd have to be lined up side by side to tell how much taller or shorter the prototype is.

Nice review! My son and I built this set yesterday. The Inquisitor is an outstanding minifig and has quickly become one of our favorites in our collection. Not just Stars Wars, but all our minifigs! The ship is nice is as well. Looks good, and is a very stable design. It has the best playability of any TIE to date. It is swooshable and has the fun laser firing mechanism.

No one seems to have mentioned this anywhere, but I can't be the only one. The star of this set for me is the new 6x6 tie windshield dish piece. Now we can finally have a proper tie cockpit. 9492 was good but far too bulbous, and 8017 just wasn't the right part at all. The minifigs are a bonus especially that officer and the inquisitor, but yet again we have another rendition of the TIE pilot. I know it's meant to be the cartoon version, but I have several pilot figures and all of them are distinctly different despite the fact that they're meant to portray the same thing. It's a bit mildly infuriating.
