Great job, i am waiting fot the whole one!

little OFF:

Is there any GOOD tutorial on internet about "how to make building instruction"? I found more tutorial about different method, which method is the simplest?

We're working hard on the instructions. It's not the most easy car to build, but I think the people here don't mind a little challenge

The chassis is almost finished (stepped and all) :classic:

Looking good. One question though, are there any issues with the hard spring shocks not having any support from the front side?

I think the video would show quite well if there were issues.

Which shocks do you mean? Those on the front or those on the rear wheels?

In the video the front suspension is identical to this one, that works fine. The rear suspension is a new design compared to the video and it is working better than the one in the video :classic: . The large shocks are compressed about half way due to the weight of the car, this results in a really smooth suspension.

Please finish this son :classic:

Also, has anyone made instructions yet for the gearbox??

Well, since the chassis is pretty much finished (some minor things to fix) I do have instructions for the gearbox

I'm not gonna work on seperate instructions for the gearbox though, you just have to wait until the whole instructions are finished. I guess it'll take about two weeks.

In the meantime you can always use the LDD file shared by Jeroen, but it's not the most easy model....

Is there any part list that I would be able to import to Rebrickable? I would like to start completing parts for this beauty :)

At the moment there is no parts list available. You can create a parts list from the LDD file, but I do have to warn that the LDD file is missing a few parts and that a few parts are changed in the final instructions that I'm working on. It is a very good start though, and it probably is correct for approx. 95%.

I understand that people would like to start collecting parts for the model and I'll try to create a parts list as quickly as possible :classic:

Sorry for double posting - what kind of green those liftarms are? In the ldd it is stated as dark green, which should (?) translate to regular green in BL terms. The problem is there should be 5L liftarm in that color which doesn't exist in that color.

It is regular green. I didn't check all part-color combinations in LDD for IRL existence, I assumed if LDD had the part in that colour, it would exist in that colour as well.

In this case that can be easily remedied by replacing the green 5L liftarm by 2 green 5L thin liftarms.

This is one of the 5% changes in the buildinginstructions :)

I have a BrickStock inventory file now. You can download it here.

Please note that I haven't verified the inventory in any way. I doubt there will be big mistakes.

A few things to note about the inventory:

- I don't know if the rubber bands are the correct size, so keep that in mind.

- While importing the LDraw file, I got an error message about a round plate 1x1 with an unknown color. I haven't figured out the problem, so there may be missing a 1x1 round plate.

The model is quite "expensive" to build, especially because of the 19L flex axles and a few other relative rare parts. You can always try to build the car in another color if you want to save costs

Now, I haven't finished the building instructions yet, but I got 99% of the model built and about 80% stepped. It might take another week or 2 to finish that, add LPub commands and maybe adding some buffer exchange magic.

Thanks for the hard work :classic:

I think the trans-very light blue parts should be trans-light blue. The 1 x 7 thin liftarm in white doesn't exist.

BTW, didn't notice that many rare or expensive parts, except for maybe the white 3L push pins and white perpendicular axle - axle connectors.

Having built dozens of suspensions myself, I was curious what you were using that kept your 2 front suspension arms from popping apart when the suspension was compressed down..? Unless there is a part that is not visible holding the arms together, it would seem that if the suspension was compressed enough that the towball could possibly pop out of the bottom...

Hi Paul,

Only friction is holding the parts together.. If you drop the model from half a meter to the floor that wil happen  . But the standard pushing by hand does not result in loose parts.

Trans-light blue is indeed the right colour.

The 7L thin lift arm can be replaced by a thick liftarm (apparently another LDD mismatch with reality).

Other rare parts that I am aware of:

4x #3 connector in red

2x 7L axle in red

2x 19L flexaxle in black

The white friction pins long with bush can mostly be replaced by LBG grey ones, most of them are 90% hidden anyway.

Ah, didn't even notice the 19L black flex axles. Thank god I have four of those :classic: But yeah, those are probably the rarest parts then.

Edit: the trans-clear 'headlights' are pretty rare as well apparently.

Before we start a run on the rare parts, I want to let you know that I am in discussion with Legolijntje to try to minimize the number of rare parts needed for this model.

Some are unavoidable (like the 4 red #3 connectors, the red 7L axles and the 2 black 19L flexaxles (allthough less pretty solutions are possible for these)), but the number of these 32039.gif and these32054.GIF needed for the model will be reduced.

That's good to hear, I only have 10 x 32039 in white (8 from 8461), and they're hard to find on BrickLink. White push pins are less of a problem IMO (got 13 of those myself).

BTW - should 2902c02 be 95292c01?

No the springs are the correct type. The completely yellow hard spring type. Otherwise the model will probably have a raised rear (the rear springs need to be compressed halfway for the model to be horizontal). I do not have the extra hard springs, so I can't say for sure that these will not work, but I can say that the hard ones do work just nice.

Can't wait for this model to land on Rebrickable. I have already did some shopping to make my part count closer to final part list, but I was basing on the LDD file. No white 32039 connectors where on BL anymore... but it seems those can easily be exchanged with #1 connector and different pin.

You can upload the BrickStore inventory posted above (be sure to make the corrections noted above) as a private MOC @ Rebrickable, then you can check if you own all the required parts. Keep in mind the BrickStore inventory is not the final inventory.
