robuko Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Of course there are all sorts of dwarves in Kaliphlin, but it is rare to see them carrying the full ceremonial battle regalia, especially when apparently venerating the shrines of their most warlike ancestors at 4 in the morning. Pharoah Aman Hotep II was a great dwarf, but his methods were...distateful. They say the sacred white ibises around his shrine still pick the bones of his enemies. But some of those ibises migrate a long way. Qi Lan the mystic, alone in her ice cave, has a certain facility with the birds and beasts. Despite her splendid isolation she is at the humming centre of Mitgardia's information trade, and she does well from it. "What's that you say, my lovely? The Kaliphlin dwarves prepare for battle?. We must tell the Jarl at once. Hedwig, you know what to do." Apologies for the image quality, I am travelling and without access to English language computers or editing software. I wanted to do a couple of things with this build - make it a double scene, and add a new dimension of icy mysticism to Mitgardia. Quote
Gideon Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Excellent builds! Great to see the typical Robuko inventiveness let loose on Mitgardia as well Quote

Captain Braunsfeld Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 "Pharaoh Aman Hotep II was a great dwarf" - that is an innovation for sure. Excellent job on the ibis! And I love the ice cave. Quote
Jorrith Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Interesting builds.. A dwarf as a Pharaoh? Why not! Also love the ice cave. Quote
kabel Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Robuko in Mitgradia, I sure would like to see more of that! Quote
Kai NRG Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 The concept of a double scene is really neat, and I like the very cool, icy feel of the second one especially! Quote
mrcp6d Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 The birds are awesome! I also am getting a mix of Johnny Thunder (head) and Pharaoh's Quest (lower half) of the mummy that I like a lot. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Neat concept with a double sided build. The back side makes good use of some interesting parts and I like the stairs Quote
de Gothia Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 I really enjoy your mocs! You keep using bricks that I normally wouldn´t do and make it look so good! Quote
Slegengr Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Great innovation as usual, Robuko! Using Egyptian influence for dwarves is an interesting idea. The pharaoh statue looks great! The double-sided build is a wonderful idea. The pieces used for the icy side give a very interesting effect. Very nice brick-build ibises as well! Quote
LordDan Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 That ice cave is really cool! Also nice ibis design:) Quote
SarahJoy Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Doing a double scene is ingenious, and the ice cave is truly unique. Quote
Blufiji Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 This was pleasantly different. Very creative build! Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Love the ice cave. The pharaohs shrine reminds me of the old Adventurers sets! Quote
