Robert8 Posted September 26, 2015 Author Posted September 26, 2015 The first post has now all the seasonal 1015 sets The whole line-up is a must have. This is best seasonal line-up ever, IMO Quote
(1)Stein Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Here is a better picture of the last two. Quote
ResIpsaLoquitur Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Are we still discussing the Bricktober sets here? I just got the Week 1 Hotel tonight. It's not bad for a micro-building. I don't think it's nearly a $20 value, although I admit that there's a bunch of small parts in unusual colors here that would have some appeal on the aftermarket. (Like trans-light blue 1 x 1 bricks, and lots of them.) It is a nice, tight little build that works in a lot of detail into a very small structure. The only thing I don't like is the micro-vehicles, particularly since the bus has a "floating" effect thanks to a clear 1 x 2 plate intended to elevate it. I would never pay $20 on its own for these, but since I happened to spend $75 at TRU tonight (two Advent Calendars will pretty much get you there), I'll say it's not bad for what you get. Quote
Big-whoop-Guybrush Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 (edited) Thanksgiving feast 40123 is now available on shop at home £8.49 Edited October 1, 2015 by Big-whoop-Guybrush Quote
Boettner Builds Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Got my 2 thanksgiving sets too! I might have to get another one or 2 if they are any left next week! Quote
Robert8 Posted October 2, 2015 Author Posted October 2, 2015 Yeah... well this torso isn't the best choice but lovely set anyway Quote
badbob001 Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 I think the Thanksgiving set is the best of the lot so far. I think it even has the most bricks, which is no surprise since both sides of the wall are full of details. On the dining side, what is the silver round tile that is attached to a white brick? Some sort of plate or souvenir coin on a little ledge? May look better if the SNOT brick was the same color as the rest of the wall, but it probably doesn't come in that matching color. Quote
Sven F Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Is this available in europe? Since we don't have thanks giving here. All the seasonals are great, except the halloween one. Whoever thought of this vignette format instead of the old 'lego basic' style bulds is a genius. Quote
mmcclelland Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Is this available in europe? Since we don't have thanks giving here. It is in the UK, I bought mine today! Quote
Sarah Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 I want that train. So I guess I'm waiting until the middle of the month to order Lego. My daughter will just have to wait for her minifig fix. Quote
Big-whoop-Guybrush Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Anyone any idea when that train is available in the uk. I was hoping it was going to be sometime in October Quote
badbob001 Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 When do you think the two winter sets will be available? Maybe Nov 1st? I hope they are sold at the same time and not split apart by a month so I can order them together or only make one trip to the store. Quote
Zusammengebaut Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 (edited) What a lovely new seasonal set: Thanksgiving. I like the details - and the atmosphere. And my images you can find right here. I'm looking forward to the two winter seasonals! Best wishes Andres Edited October 5, 2015 by Zusammengebaut Quote
Lego Dino 500 Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 I'm really excited for all the Holiday sets this year. I'm crossing my fingers my Lego Store has plenty of white 4x6 and 4x4 plates, I'm wanting to make a huge diorama around my Christmas tree, similar to the Polar Express. And with the white cheese and tiles from the PaB Panda, I can detail up my 60052 and assorted vehicles to look snow covered. Quote
parsom Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Anyone any idea when that train is available in the uk. I was hoping it was going to be sometime in October Hoth Bricks says that in France this set will be available from Oct 23 to Nov 20. I wonder about second winter promo - will it still be available Dec1st, when Dr Who will be released? Quote
BrickOn Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 I bought 2 thanksgiving sets (they were just too good not to) in the UK over the weekend, plus I managed to locate the halloween set while I was there too :-) Quote
Big-whoop-Guybrush Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 October 23rd. Brilliant thanks. Will plan on heading in then Quote
Big-whoop-Guybrush Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Just had a look on hoth bricks. I think that's referring to America so still unsure when it'll be available in the uk Quote
parsom Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Just had a look on hoth bricks. I think that's referring to America so still unsure when it'll be available in the uk In America it starts earlier (Oct 13 - Nov 13). HothBricks is talking about France. I believe that in other EU countries it will be the same. However, LEGO calendar for GB, France etc. says nothing about it... So - who knows? Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Oh man! I missed out on the Halloween set! Nabbed the Thanksgiving one though! With the red leaves, I may need to grab a few more... it's a nice set! I will be sure not to miss out on the Christmas ones, though. Great pieces there! I need more of those brick bricks! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Big-whoop-Guybrush Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Confirmed by my lego shop that the train will be offered from October 22nd in the uk with orders over £50 Quote
Sarah Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 WATCH out US Folk. The Lego site is saying the Holiday Train is being added to the cart, but it is NOT being added I called Lego Shop and they confirmed It is not being added Quote
Legocity2713 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 (edited) I recently bought the Thanksgiving set from my local Lego Store and boy, the first thing that struck me is that the box is pretty heavy! 158 pieces in such a small box is really something! Great set btw, totally recommend it. Edited October 12, 2015 by Legocity2713 Quote
ResIpsaLoquitur Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 The store calendar says the train's not available until the 13th. Fortunately, double VIP points have been extended to the 14th, so I plan to go to the store on Wednesday, make a $100 purchase, get my double points and my free train... Quote
