plastic_ati Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 (edited) Here is my second try for making an alternate twin-boom aircraft from the set 60064 Arctic Supply Plane. Now I wanted to make a more difficult model, and found a WWII maritime patrol aircraft with three motors (and two different kind of propellers). The "Seadragon" (nicknamed as "Flying Clog") has an interesting fuselage, so it was a kind of challenge to make something similar. (actually the pilot is just a half minifig, but the rear gunner girl is full) Blohm&Voss BV 138 (60064 alternate) by Plastic.Ati, on Flickr Blohm&Voss BV 138 (60064 alternate) by Plastic.Ati, on Flickr HERE you can find a drawing about the original model. Gabor Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Great alternative! I like the usage of the cockpit element! Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Neat creation so inspired by old school Legotown alternative builds from the 1970's.......Brick On 'plastic_ati' ! Quote
plastic_ati Posted January 5, 2015 Author Posted January 5, 2015 Thanks for your kind words! Unfortunately the approval delayed one day, so the instructions will be available from tomorrow only (hopefully :) ) Oh, I forgot to say that this one is also swooshable, and just the middle propeller needs a bit more attention. plastic_ati Posted January 6, 2015 Author Posted January 6, 2015 Instructions can be downloaded from HERE. (People might have other tasks now at Rebrickable, so the approval delays, and I decided to put the link here) Quote
eurotrash Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 When I saw the Thread title I thought you'd built one of these But that's a 141 and not a 138. I do like yours - it looks swooshable. Quote
plastic_ati Posted January 6, 2015 Author Posted January 6, 2015 Oh, no! You've found out what is my next model. I begun to make it 2 days ago, but it takes a while to finish (and it will differ from the original quite a bit, because of the limited group of bricks) Talking about the plans I want to make a simple and an odd looking helicopter from the same set, and maybe some more tricky vehicles. Yes, it's swooshable. The weekest point is the middle propeller, so you shouldn't put the plane on a table upside-down Quote
CityBuilder Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 These are some very strange looking planes! Not that that is a bad thing though. Quote
plastic_ati Posted January 18, 2015 Author Posted January 18, 2015 I have put links with thumbnails for other 60064 alternates at the bottom of the post Quote
