MstrOfPppts Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 It's a bit quite lately in this ongoing war and no missions to do nor plan for. That leaves some time to rest and listen to my old Walkman 4K3. I put on some really old music to bring back some nostalgia ... and then Karin rushed into my office. She was quite surprised at what I was listening to, since I didn't have time to turn it off. So I had to explain to her why I'm still using this outdated player. MstrOfPppts: This is a Walkman 4K3 limited edition in gold color. My father gave it to me when I was very little. It was something I was very proud of and every kid around wanted one. My dad got it from an Ithorian scrapyard owner who owed him some credits. It was worth quite some credits, yet still far from what the Ithorian owed my father, but it was the only usefull thing in his scrapyard. And for me, it was priceless! MstrOfPppts: So what did you come here for? Karin: Oh yeah, it's about this rebel who wanted to sign up as a Stormstrooper back at Fondor ... Quote
Tariq j Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Great sone! What really draws me in is the Junkyard like atmosphere you've created through the use of random, cluttered objects. I also quite like the SNOT technique you've used to create the base. Quote
Kodan Black Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 I was wondering if you would post a build since I'm an admirer of yours! The office scene is good, but oh my is the past scene great. Has the perfect SW vibe, looks just like how a scrapyard should. Just fantastic, really glad to see a build from you. Nice minifig usage too. Quote
markus1984 Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Yes, MstrOfPppts is also attending at this epidsode . And than with so an stunning entry! Love the junk yard tatooine build - looks so great with all this details and parts. Well done!!! markus Quote
goatman461 Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Great walls and door on the present scene. My favorite part of the past scene is the back wall and roof; that is a very interesting way to crop the build. I wish the front had more of that ridged feel rather than the curvy/odd shape you have. I think it would make the base look cleaner in contrast to the chaotic junkyard. Speaking of, I do wish the "junk" had a more sorted look. In the way that you have all the bars and tubes together, a section of droid parts would make sense. As is, I cannot tell if those pieces were put there with purpose or if they were just thrown in at the last minute. That's all personal taste, though. These builds are great. Quote
Disco86 Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 So sleek, so elegant, I just love that style overall ! Easy to see why you are on top of the leader board ! Quote
Jacob Nion Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Great entry! Very smart choose of a heirloom and i love that yunkyard. It's exactly what a junkyard should look like. Quote
MKJoshA Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Ok, totally just realized you referenced my story I feel honored! Quote
Pointblank Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Awesome looking build, very nice angles and SNOT techniques used. A master at work ! Quote
