The car and chassis still remain perfectly rigid. So if I make a convertible, then it won't be too hard to work with. Edited January 21, 2015 by LeocornoProductions Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) Hello again The huracan is finished at last, I finished it actualy last night, but I have spent all day trying to upload pictures and now I finally can without any hassle. Here are some picture http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/LeocornoProductions/Huracan/wp_20150123_19_24_34_pro.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/LeocornoProductions/Huracan/wp_20150123_19_23_16_pro.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/LeocornoProductions/Huracan/wp_20150123_19_19_35_pro.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/LeocornoProductions/Huracan/wp_20150123_19_18_23_pro.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/LeocornoProductions/Huracan/wp_20150123_19_17_10_pro.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/LeocornoProductions/Huracan/wp_20150123_19_16_01_pro.jpg As you can see the car has been completed over the period of this topic, I just need to do some quality checks on the bodywork. Hopefully I can do a video tomorrow and then submit a completed entry in the entry topic. Thank you to everyone for commenting and viewing this topic and contributing to the completion of this moc. I hope you all like it, and hopefully its performance will match its looks (well that depends whether you think it looks nice or terrible XD). Milan Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Your pics are way too big for forum rules. Several people suggested you to use flickr or bricksafe or any hosting service with resize options. Looking forward to video. Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 They were 3 times bigger before, but I resized them. Quote
Blakbird Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 They were 3 times bigger before, but I resized them. The max size allowed by EB is 1000 pixels. I have replaced the oversized images with links. I highly recommend Bricksafe which will scale the images for you automatically. Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted January 24, 2015 Author Posted January 24, 2015 (edited) Is this a better size? Edited January 24, 2015 by LeocornoProductions Quote

Only the suggested is 800x600, my pictures are near the 1024 one, are they ok? Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted January 24, 2015 Author Posted January 24, 2015 Do you guys think I should alter the gearbox to a sequential 5 speed? Quote
Appie Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 I hope you don't find this offensive, but I'd put some more work in the body of the car. Right now I don't recognize this as a "Lambo", just as a nice Lego car. I think the angles in your car are a bit sharp. For example, your doors, this is the real thing: Curved doors with air intakes under them. Mind you, I am no master of body work, so I am not claiming I'd do a better job, just a suggestion for your entry. Either way good luck in the contest Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted January 24, 2015 Author Posted January 24, 2015 Ok, but I also need to modify the drivetrain and change the gearbox Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted January 27, 2015 Author Posted January 27, 2015 I have replaced the old 4 speed with a 3 speed sequential. It doesn't grind like the old gearbox, but still has enough torque to propell this car to a descent speed. It is also much lighter, and also it means that I have 1 output left for another function. The gearbox does take up more space, which I why I might remove the engine, or if it is compact enough with the bodywork restored then I will keep it. More pictures will follow later on today. Quote

You could make a Brake for The fourth function :3 It will be useful To stop An high weight car at a decent speed ahaha how much is The weight Now? Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted January 27, 2015 Author Posted January 27, 2015 Around 2kg estimated. Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted January 27, 2015 Author Posted January 27, 2015 I know it doesn't look to clear, but here is the newly installed semi-automatic 3 speed sequential gearbox. When I say semi-automatic, I mean that it can be operated remotely or can be shifted in the interior. It also has a neutral mode and I will use that to operate a launch control setting, unfortunately that doesn't count as an extra function. I just need to add the motorized gear selector, create a final function for the 4th output, add the battery box, then restore the bodywork and then the car is complete. Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted January 31, 2015 Author Posted January 31, 2015 The car is just about finished again, I just need to make sure everything is working before I put the new batteries in, and hopefully I can make a video tomorrow or later on today. Quote
DrJB Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 (edited) http://www.brickshel...9_24_34_pro.jpg Good progress so far. However, if I may be blunt, styling with stacked beams/liftarms can be 'boring' at times. That said, the styling may need to be refreshed, try to start with some 'defining' lines (with flex axles or panels), then fill in the empty spaces. I know, easier said than done, but still worth a shot. Maybe 8448 is a good inspiration: The car has very little in terms of panels, but the flex axles define the car lines in a very 'elegant' way. LeocornoProductions Posted January 31, 2015 Author Posted January 31, 2015 Sorry, but I don't have any flex axles in my stash of bricks, this is why most of my mocs will look slightly boxier than the real thing. I plan on eventually buying a set with a range of flex axles in it. I spent all morning thinking of ways I could improve the angles, but my limited knowledge of technic and experience show the outcome. Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted January 31, 2015 Author Posted January 31, 2015 Also I still need a 4th function for the 4th output, any suggestions? I can't make a brake function because that space is taken up. The scissor doors are only operated manually. I stated those incase they were frequently asked. So are there any suggestions? I'm open to ideas from anyone, regardless of experience or knowledge of technic. Quote
Milan Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 I am not familiar with Lambos, but dont they have motorized retractable spoiler? Quote
m0dulo Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Would it be possible to use a real image hosting company and post these within the bounds of 800x600 pixels? These thumbnails are only 128x72 pixels. I love your project and reading about the progress - I just wish I could see what you are saying about the pictures. Quote

m0dulo Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Thanks for the help PKW! It looks great. Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted January 31, 2015 Author Posted January 31, 2015 Thank you for the help pkw, @Appie, I' have used some extra axels to reflect the shape of the doors, pictures will follow soon. @Milan, the spoiler on my huracan was originally manual, space at the back is tight, but I'll try my best to incorporate it. LeocornoProductions Posted January 31, 2015 Author Posted January 31, 2015 I couldn't fit a motorized spoiler, but it has lift able rear suspension via m motor. Quote

IMO the Hurucan requires a Model Team approach to capture the angles in the curves. Look at this (except it should look a bit different, being a Huracan, not a Gallardo): Quote
