LeocornoProductions Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 Sorry but there is not much more I can do, I Can't start afresh with the bodywork or I won't reach the competitions deadlines. Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Sorry but there is not much more I can do, I Can't start afresh with the bodywork or I won't reach the competitions deadlines. Maybe it's better to make first a good moc and started a new afresh bodywork than enter a not a complete satisfy one too the competition . Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 I've just been doing some quality tests with the huracan, with old batteries because I don't want to waste the new batteries for that. Everything is working perfectly, I might just swap the order of the outputs, and then the car will be filmed today, video will be edited tomorrow, and the video will be released this coming week. And the car will be posted on the entry topic before next Sunday. Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 Also I might remove the differentials so that the car will understeer like the real huracan, '4wd overheating' XD Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 I think you can improve on the door opening mechanism a bit,if you need a clue then think old style 90's technic. Quote
Paul Boratko Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Pocher just debuted their new upcoming models at the Nuremberg Toy Fair and the Lamborghini Huracan was one of them... Sorry for going a bit off-topic... Quote

Paul Boratko Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 (edited) I think that Paul is trying to say in the most polite way possible your body work needs improvement. LOL.. No, I am just really excited about this new 1:8 scale model coming out later this year and since this is a Huracan thread, I figured that I would share this new model... Eric(Blakbird) and I recently got Blue Aventador kits and have been building them... Eric actually has his blue one built and is working on a second Black model and really modifying and detailing it right down to the stitching on the seats... The models are amazingly detailed and crafted, but unfortunately also very expensive... Eric has been updating his new progress HERE Edited February 1, 2015 by Paul Boratko Quote
Rishab N Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Damn I would love one of those pocher kits but wow they're expensive Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 I might make instructions and different variations of my huracan too, such as a superleggera, super trofeo, SV, convertible, convertible superleggera. Quote
Omikron Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 (edited) Big plans I see! But how about perfecting the original before making modifications? Edited February 1, 2015 by Omikron Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 I appreciate that the looks aren't to the real huracan. But there isn't much I can do to make the car look more realistic because I don't have any flex axles or useful parts like those :( Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 One thing I have also discovered is that the car is lighter than I calculated, It weighs between 1.2kg and 1.55kg maximum. Which makes it lighter than its competitors. Quote
TheNextLegoDesinger Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 mine wil be even lighter but much denser Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 What are you building? Quote
PKW Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 (edited) yes maybe lighter than mine, But trucks in real Life are heavy :3 why that big range of weight, batteries? Edited February 2, 2015 by PKW Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted February 2, 2015 Author Posted February 2, 2015 True, but I meant that it is the lightest supercar entry in TC6. Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 I don't think that you get extra points for the lightest entry . Quote
Epic Technic Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 True, but I meant that it is the lightest supercar entry in TC6. Once mine is finished I'll check how much it weighs but 4 Ls and 2 battery boxes (AA and AAA) won't be doing it much good. I will also check how fast it is; how fast is your Huracan? Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted February 2, 2015 Author Posted February 2, 2015 I haven't speed tested it, but I want to change the gearbox again since I removed the differentials. But it has an estimated top speed of 5kmh or more. But having the lightest supercar means that It will have the best performance, and that's the point of making a motorized supercar with a gearbox. And that performance will make up for the looks. Quote

TheNextLegoDesinger Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 i just opened a topic weight is 1,163KG Quote
PKW Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 you can obtain a precise teorical speed with Sariel gear calculator and know ing the wheel diameter, you are tlalking about 5km/h at 7,2V or 9V? (It will very interesting if we could make a race with all our cars :3 maybe a virtual one ;) ) Quote
LeocornoProductions Posted February 2, 2015 Author Posted February 2, 2015 Yh I really wanted to organise that after TC6. We can all make instructions, get someone to build our models and then race them. @epic technic: Good point, I haven't even tested that yet, but with diffs it had a very good turning circle because it had Ackerman steering geometry. But if the turning circle decreases without diffs, then that means that it actually makes Real understeer like the real huracan. I also wanted to do a track test, like what they did on the top gear perfect road trip 2. @TheNextLegoDesigner: Argghh, but after the competition I will convert it into a super trofeo which will be MUCH lighter, but also what I said was theoretical, I don't know its exact weight because I don't have a weighing scale, I just had this dumbbell which weighed 1.25kg and the huracan felt about the same weight, it could be slightly heavier or lighter. @PKW: Your truck will win because of its superior speed of over 9kmh, but I don't mind racing it.
