Delta62 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Been wanting to make one of these since the show came out. Fully detailed and minifig friendly too. Took alot of planning and a month to make. Other than that, it was a fun build. C&C are most welcome. Enjoy! Full gallery can be found here! http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/404155 Quote
TWP Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Wow! Great build! I like it a lot, it looks very accurate. I'm looking forward to see more MOCs of you. Quote
Tariq j Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Cool build. Really like the attention to detail and accuracy to the show Quote
Kodan Black Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Looks good from what I remember from the show. Only thing I can see that is a bit off is it looks like the minifigs can't stand straight, they have to angle slightly. But going 4 studs wide would be too much, alas some times things can't be perfect within the bounds of Lego and the dimensions of minifigs. Quote
Delta62 Posted January 8, 2015 Author Posted January 8, 2015 Thanks, glad you guys liked it. Yeah, I've noticed that the stormtroopers are not fitting in the bays right too. Tried fixing it but 4 studs long would make the model bigger than it is. Afterall, its a version 1. ^_^ Quote
Admiral-Ackbar Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 This is pretty cool! I really like how you've done the front of it, looks very nicely made! Quote
Faefrost Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Nicely made. I'm having Kenner flashbacks. Quote
markus1984 Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Great work at the transporter! Looks a little bit to big but the rest is very good! markus Quote
Fuppylodders Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I really like this. I think you have reached a good compromise with regards to the stormtroopers positioning. There aren't a lot of pictures of the interior, namely the cockpit area... Does it have one? I do like the fact it looks close to source material too. Well done ^_^ Quote
Kristof Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I like the bottom edge. It really looks like it could hover quite nicely :) I agree with markus that the size is a bit over. Actually it's almost twice as big but I can't really imaginge making it much smaller with all the features. Good job! Quote
DarthTwoShedsJackson Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 The angled surfaces to the front of this vehicle are hard to get right with Lego, but you did a good job on those. A great model overall! Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Cool, I like the transporter (I don't think that it is too big). Quote
Delta62 Posted January 10, 2015 Author Posted January 10, 2015 Thanks, glad you guys like it! Yes it does have a cockpit but my camera wasnt able to take good pictures of the interior. It kept blurring because of the black tiles. I'll see if I can open the cockpit next time and show you. Yeah, i think its a little bit on the bigger side too. would this be ucs scale? It slides prety well with the two by two round plates on the bottum to get that effect. If i ever get to it, there may be a version two unless if i end up doing anoter project. Quote
Csacsa234 Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 This is great! I was just rewatching the so far released episodes of Rebels and I was thinking that Lego should make this into a set, but I think you maxed it out, perfect build! Quote
Delta62 Posted January 21, 2015 Author Posted January 21, 2015 I doubt it wont do well, but if you like this and want it to be a set, please support it on lego ideas! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/92547 Quote
