8BrickMario Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 That's possible, but I see the Reaper using a black robe instead. What really makes me curious is how they're going to make his face unique. LEGO skulls aren't usually that different from one another. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Ooh! I will definitely be needing that Fly... And the gargoyle! Just from that "hat" piece, I know I'll be getting multiples. The trans grey hair is fascinating! I wonder how it'll be used! Overall, I'm loving this! It's not my favorite line-up yet, but it's got some good parts! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Soupperson1 Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Right here: \ Don't know if it's translucent on purpose or if it's just a test. Either way, I love it, and I hope that the Specter is the one to use it! The ghost/specter/phantom could be a banshee. That hairpiece would look perfect on a banshee :O Quote

Commander Strax Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 I did see a grey hood as well on that site Cool! Would you be able to post a picture of this? Quote
Borex Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 I will in a few moments. I have to bring the little kid to bed now and then eat something. I'll post the link as well. Quote
CM4Sci Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 (edited) Did it for ya. EDIT: I wouldn't recommend posting the link. Edited June 10, 2015 by CM4Sci Quote
Takanuinuva Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 I hope one of the minifigures in this series has the Vampyre cape but in the new softer cape style. Quote
8BrickMario Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 That's unlikely, unless the Specter wears a cloak. The Reaper usually doesn't have a collar. I'd like it if he reused the Hun's cape in dark grey, though. That grey hood is really nice, especially since we haven't gotten one since the Dementors in the old Harry Potter sets. Quote
Wardancer Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 (edited) Wow, I did not expect something good from this series with all the zombies and cheerleaders. But the gargoyle looks very nice. I hope they don't make him cute or Mrs. gargoyle or something. Shopping list: 6 gargoyles if not cute, 5 werewolves. I will enjoy going feeling for figs again after such a long Time (an awful sentence, but you know what I mean). Could someone check if a gargoyle is in this portfolio of the guy who drew all the figs and was hired by TLG? Edited June 10, 2015 by Wardancer Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 AW YES! So Leaked Sasquach (Who looked like dark orange version Yeti with Black eyebrows) can be true! Very excicted for this run! Quote

Ardelon Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Well, I must say, the line-up doesnt blow me away, now that we know all the slots. A normal series cant come soon enough. Thanks to all those that brought us information these past few days. Quote
Robert8 Posted June 11, 2015 Author Posted June 11, 2015 (edited) Could someone check if a gargoyle is in this portfolio of the guy who drew all the figs and was hired by TLG? No, there is not a Gargoyle in the AB designs.... AW YES! So Leaked Sasquach (Who looked like dark orange version Yeti with Black eyebrows) can be true! Very excicted for this run! That's how the Chima Beaver looks like.... and orange would be a strange color for Bigfoot, isn't it? Marty actually does get the same guitar in the LEGO Dimensions pack. I will get the Rocker Monster purely for completion (because everything else in this series seems fantastic!), but his brow would be useful for a more realistic monster. This is actually the first series since S5 that I'll want to complete. It's the series I never knew I wanted! That's the issue about being a completionist.... And I'm a completionist like you so I'm not going but these. Some are just pathetic like the recolored S1 Zombie as a "Zombie Businessman" or the idiotic Horror Rocker (I can't believe that LEGO is actually going to sell that!) or the Mad Scientist (A scientist is a normal human being, the incorporation of the elongated head just to make him fit in this monsters line is beyond ridiculous). And I don't want to get an incomplete series. To make things worse, we are getting the third cheerleader and the 4th rocker in the CMF theme. A minifigure is not collectible if you keep rehashing it. I just can't stand the repetitiveness on this series. Edited August 5, 2015 by Robert8 Quote
legofanatic12 Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Could the head from the leaked Skeleton Guy's will be for the Grim Reaper? Quote

But I do want all of these, because monsters. I can still use the Monster in a Halloween party scene, and the scientist's big-brained head is odd but has its place in a cartoonish mad science lab MOC. Edited June 11, 2015 by 8BrickMario Quote
Borex Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 I never understood why someone would be a completionist. The great thing about cmf series is that there is always some figs you like/need and some you don't. Why would you buy stuff you don't like? Personally i'm really excited for this series. Never was a zombifan, so i will try to not buy those. I don't need rockmonster too. But i think i'll like all the others and a few i will be buying multiples of. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Ultimately I end up buying them all because eventually I'll need a torso or face or accessory.. As far as this series goes, gotta have them all! My daughter will want all of them also. This will be expensive. First series in a while where I'll want multiples of multiple figures. Quote

8BrickMario Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 I used to be less good and thorough about feeling bags. Now, I don't get multiples unless I want them (I'll need another Zombie Cheerleader to color her hairpiece red and black). But the rest I think I can do with one. If the Gargoyle's good enough, though, I will probably get four or so to perch on my modulars. I think the Gargoyle seems to be the only proper army builder in this series, but only because it can be an ornamental feature on a building. The zombies don't work out so well for that purpose, due to the glasses and smile. Quote
Blakstone Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 I might get a couple of the cheerleaders and businessmen zombies. I have some extra zombie chaufers so I can swap some heads there as well as hair for the cheerleaders. I just don't feel the need to horde them. Gargoyles, though, will be the army builder. I probably only want one spider lady and the hints of the specter is very interesting. Quote
telaruhn Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 A normal series cant come soon enough. This. There are some good ones to be bought, no doubt about that. But I can't help but wish for them to be sprinkled in series with figures from Space, Castle, Western, Town, Mythology, and other themes. I enjoy this theme because of the multitude of characters it provides from various themes. Regarding rehashes - I'm fine with them as long as they designed well and have something that's unique about them compared to their predecessors. Keep in mind many people haven't been around since the theme's beginning (I didn't start buying figures until around series 8), so they may miss out on older series. When Series 13 rolled around, I was stoked to get the Samurai and Disco Diva because I missed out on the Samurai Warrior and Disco Dude in series prior, and felt they were better than their predecessors. In my opinion, the Horror Rocker and the Crazy Scientist are examples of rehashes that are just poorly designed. And I find myself despising them because of specific details. I've already mentioned the Rocker's guitar, but I'm not a big fan of his torso or legs either. I also hate the Crazy Scientist's Pepto-Bismol flask. They had so many other colors to choose from, and they choose solid pink? It doesn't bring to mind anything related to the Horror or Halloween theme like green, orange, or even purple would. I know it may be a lot of fuss over details, but it's those kinds of details that help me decide if I should buy those figures in the first place. Quote
