Wardancer Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Brickwarriors has dragon wings which would look perfect on a gargoyle. Unfortunately, they do not come in dark gray. Maybe the gargoyle will change that. Quote
Soupperson1 Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 The head in the leaked Skeleton Guy minifig could be a grim reaper's head. Was that not a preliminary head for the Skelton Guy's head? Quote
8BrickMario Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Was that not a preliminary head for the Skelton Guy's head? Nope. It was most likely put on the wrong fig and belongs to someone else in the series. Quote
Pulp Detective Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 (edited) About the theme, I think LEGO itself doesn't know what's up with this series: The name is Series 14:Monsters and yet the Skeleton Guy is a costumed character, not a monster. (And i think the Tiger Girl is a costumed character too) That Catalog says this is a Halloween series but the Gargoyle and Bigfoot are not Halloween characters... I really don't understand the negativity this series gets.I for one am really excited about it.And about the main focus of the series it's a mix between costumed characters and monsters, with this mix I think it makes the series more interesting by instead being an only monster series or halloween(only costumed characters). 9v system Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 I don't realy like this series. It's just not to my likeing. The only one I may get is the tiger girl. Quote
fred67 Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 For those of you who are complaining about Rocker Monster... have you ever attended the Universal Studios Beetlejuice show in Orlando? If I recall in one of the older versions the Monster plays a guitar. I could be wrong but I swear I've seen a monster play a guitar. Yes, I've seen the show. Why would that keep anyone from complaining? It would have been fine without the goofy face. Quote
Borex Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 (edited) A better clue for how the man-eating plant is going to look like. I'm still not sure what to think of this guy. But i like the idea very much. Edited June 21, 2015 by Borex Quote
Mr Greeble Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 In this: catalogue, on the collectible minifigure page, it shows the new Simpsons wave and then it says, "A new series comes out in September, you'll be surprised!" Any thoughts? Quote

Any thoughts? Let's hope not, this thematic wave 14 is already pretty weak - or at least geared towards one type of audience, another Simpsons wave would be a similar wave targeted to a relatively narrow audience. Well on the bright side this has been one of the cheapest LEGO years in the past decade... Quote

Well on the bright side this has been one of the cheapest LEGO years in the past decade... It's definitely Series 14. There's absolutely no other series this year. I guess this confirms the September release-at least for some countries- so I'm glad about that. I really like the leaf texturing on the plant monster! Edited June 21, 2015 by 8BrickMario Quote
SMC Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 (edited) It will just be this series (14) they are talking about. edit: ninja'd Edited June 21, 2015 by SMC Quote
gedren_y Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Given that Halloween decorations, candy and costumes show up as early as August in some places, this is a no-brainer. This gives those that go all out the time to stockpile. Think about it: Lego instead of candy. Expensive, yes, but I'm betting someone might think it a grand idea. Quote
8BrickMario Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 I just feel sorry for France, who presumably have only October 1st-30 to get them all before Halloween. I remember reading in the Minifigures Encyclopedia that LEGO plans their seasonal releases to give people time before the corresponding holiday, like the S6 Leprechaun being released in time for people to get him for St. Patrick's Day. Quote
8BrickMario Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Oh, no. Why October? That's way too much time for Simpsons S2 and not enough time before Halloween for S14! Quote
telaruhn Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 (edited) A better clue for how the man-eating plant is going to look like. I'm still not sure what to think of this guy. But i like the idea very much. Ooh, this is cool. The first image of him didn't really do it justice, so it's great to get more views of the plant head mold. Oh, no. Why October? That's way too much time for Simpsons S2 and not enough time before Halloween for S14! It happened last year with Series 12, so it's not really that surprising unfortunately. But there does seem to be inconsistency as to whether this series is going to be released in September or October, based on this catalog that Mr Greeble posted and Robert8's catalog image. . CM4Sci Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 That's way too much time for Simpsons S2 That's good for me, I haven't found the Simpsons S2 anywhere in Minnesota. Quote
Robert8 Posted June 21, 2015 Author Posted June 21, 2015 The plant guy mould looks good Oh, no. Why October? That's way too much time for Simpsons S2 and not enough time before Halloween for S14! I wonder if that has something to do with The Simpsons license.... The SS1 and SS2 are the only series so far with 5 months before the next release Quote
SMC Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Well if you look at something like ideas the license sets seem to last a lot longer than the other so it would not surprise me if they made more Simpsons cmf than normal ones and sold them for longer to make the license worth it. Quote
Legopanzer1 Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Really disappointing if series 14 is Halloween themed. I never liked any of the monster themed figures from rest of the collectable minifigures, so these ones will most likely be a pass for me! Quote

Robert8 Posted June 24, 2015 Author Posted June 24, 2015 I might end getting the Fly Monster afterall to add a new monster with a new moonstone to my Monster Fighters display And I'm finally going to get a 7th Moonstone (Damn you Zombie Moonstone! I don't need you anymore ) Quote
parsom Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Strange thing... Polish version of catalogue says that new series comes out in... August! Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 It also says Simpsons come in august. Polish catalogues are mess. Quote
HawkLord Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 Skeleton Guy = Cobra Kai... that's gonna happen. Now, I need a Mr. Miyagi type figure and the CMF Martial Artist. Quote
