Specter is pretty cool. I don't love the face but the rest makes up for it. Gargoyle is the stand out here. Best one I've seen and I'll need multiples. Quote
telaruhn Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 (edited) I like the reuse of the Yeti's head mold for Bigfoot, I just don't like how the dark brown is printed... It looks like a moustache. Just kidding, took a closer look and it doesn't look so bad... I do like the camera for his accessory. Gargoyle is a clear favorite for me. Also digging the Plant Monster, especially how they oriented his hands and arms to hold the vines. I'm not a fan of how his vines are printed on his body, though. Spider Lady's cape looks like two pieces and is clear plastic. Color me surprised. Horror Rocker has stitch printing on his arms. A nice detail there. That last one looks to be the Ghost, but has the Grim Reaper's hood... Not sure what's going on or which one it actually is. I quite like the cape, though. But that bottom piece... Why is this not the genie tail? Not to say it's not a great piece, but I would have loved to see usage of the genie tail in the context of a Ghost. Some of the pictures have Simpsons figures in the background... Dr. Hibbert has the Buzz Cola accessory while Smithers has a briefcase. We know these aren't accurate, so I'm led to believe that some of these Series 14 figures aren't fully or correctly accessorized. And I'll take 50 of those wing parts in all different colors please. Zombie Business man is just a rehash of the S1 Zombie... and that's a good thing! Since I missed out on the original, I appreciate not having to pay double digit amounts of cash (I think it was going for 20$ last time I checked?) for a zombie. Skeleton Costume guy/kid is well done too. That Trick or Treat bucket is a great bonus. The Venus Flytrap guy will make for some cool plant monsters once I switch the head out. The vines were a good addition. Bigfoot's head piece looks good, but the unprinted torso makes him look incomplete in my opinion. Too bad. The Specter is a pretty big let down. Apart from the lackluster head printing, he's just a grey blob. The Ninjago ghost wisp in clear is a great piece, and we can never have too many colors of capes, but those are the only things he has going for him when he could have been much more interesting. The Gargoyle is easily the best of the bunch here if you ask me. I'd say it's even among the best figures from the entire CMF theme. I'm hoping that the Grim Reaper is more like the Gargoyle and less like the Specter. Edited July 18, 2015 by Sir Walter Maugham Quote

Bigfoot is just what i thought he would be. Could've used some more printing on legs and body. Gargoyle is great and i want a lot of them. My guess is that they'll use those wings for the evil monkeys of Oz (if they'll ever decide to make these of course) I dont care for zombies and i dont need rocker frankie probably. I do like spider lady but am not sure i will buy her. Quote

There is a chance that the female specter does exist and this is the grim reaper. I am really loving this series so far. They are generally more skeletal beings that carry a scythe. Who knows, the Grim Reaper might have a different hood-piece altogether. Quote

Vorkosigan Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Disappointed in the Gargoyle, the main one I was interested in. It REALLY should be dark bluish gray, not light. Also the wings should be folded back more, and all the little black dots don't look good IMHO. Quote
