I went to one Walgreens, where the only one I needed was the Monster Rocker, and the price was a bit too high. However, at TRU, I found all four I was missing, instead of just one. I like the Plant Monster's colors and overall look quite a lot, and I'm very happy and relieved to have gotten everybody. Now I just need all of the Scooby-Doo sets, the Wicked Witch Fun Pack, and LEGO: I Love That Minfigure!

You should be fine. I couldn't wait but I was hoping to buy all the Scooby sets during TLC's Double VIP points but I'll have them all by that time lol.

I'll get the minifig book that day or so and I'm waiting on the Wicked Witch/Scooby packs after buying the entire CMF14 and Scooby lines.

I think this is strange...In Series 6, the Leprechaun introduced the round pot piece, which was compatible with a bucket handle, but it was never used with one until S14 years later. Did they plan that far ahead?

Did they plan that far ahead?

I guess they were planning to use it later somehow, but it never happened.

There is a chance they had the Skelenton Guy in mind back then, but for some reason they couldn't make it.

I'm struggling to find these in a shop near me that does not have them behind the counter, in order that I can feel the packets. Went to my local toy shop today, they had the poster, but none anywhere obvious in the shop. I'm wondering if some shops are holding these back until October ready for Halloween?

We know from the Haunted House designer's input on the Bricklist by him on Brickset that they planned the Haunted House back in 2008 or 2009, he couldn't remember exactly, and that set didn't even come out until Mid-2012.

So, for some themes or sets yes, for others like the Ecto-1, they can have something out in a year.

Maybe they intended to give the bumblebee girl a handle with her honey pot, up it ended up costing too much...?

Are the Leprechaun, the bumblebee girl and the skeleton costume guy really the only ones to have used this part?

LEGO parts are all math. It makes since that they designed the pot of gold to be compatible with the handle even though they had no immediate plans to use it that way. I doubt they designed the bucket handle to be also be a scooter kickstand or a samurai helmet decor either. In fact, LEGO never intentionally planned most of these contacts. There are just a few different perimeters for parts.

I am a fan of the MyMinis app by Cherry HIll Technology. I recommend it for any CMF fan. It is a handy reference when you are in a store and come across an older series. My favorite part though is the Collection by Theme section.

This morning had an update for Series 14 and all of them were added to Spooky Creatures. That works but I would rather have the banshee, gargoyle, and square foot, in Fantasy and Myth. I would also move Skeleton Guy to Traditions and Holidays.

Of course, I am still hoping the Warrior Woman moves from Ancient Americas to either Fantasy and Myth or Ancient Europe since she is an Amazon warrior of Greek myth not a resident of South America.

You have to consider where the parts are physically produced. It is likely that the bucket handle was being produced in a different country, as it started in the regular sets. Something else to consider is the CAD designs for the molds, as well as the type, size. and durability of the molds, that go into making a CMF.

To have included the bucket handle with the first appearance of the pot would have required one of three things: shipping one of the existing durable molds to the CMF production facility, cutting a new, less durable mold for the CMF's limited run, or shipping a vast amount of the full production handle parts to the facility for inclusion. In all these instances the cost would have been prohibitive.

Okay, now that I've gotten over my delighted shock of having the whole series, here are my final thoughts:

* Banshee: A fantastic figure, with a great design and some very nice parts.

* Wacky Witch: Such a perfect representation of a Halloween witch. She does everything really well.

* Gargoyle: Another perfect design, who's very unique and useful in several ways.

* Monster Scientist: I'm quite fond of his wacky design, and it's very cleverly executed.

* Spider Lady: Elegantly spooky, and just over-the-top enough to work really well. One of the highlights of the series.

* Fly Monster: He's bizarrely adorable, and just a very nice design. The claw hand is great, and the head is perfectly done.

* Tiger Woman: I have mixed thoughts. She's a bit awkward and confused in design as is, but I love her printing and colors. If they went all the way with the monster design and made her head and hands orange, I'd like her much more.

* Specter: He's a bit basic, but he does a good job of being a classic spook, and he's pretty cute, too.

* Zombie Pirate: One of my least favorites. On his own he's okay, but his design really bugs. By apparently abandoning the S8 Pirate Captain design along the way and ultimately making him a separate character, they weakened the design and made him less interesting to me.

* Zombie Businessman: I really like him. His suit and hairpiece are great, and he's quite expressive.

* Skeleton Guy: A cleverly-done idea, and very nicely printed. He's another winner!

* Zombie Cheerleader: Cute, and adds some variety to the zombies. I like her.

* Square Foot: I think he's underwhelmingly designed, but still a great character to have.

* Plant Monster: He's rather colorful and eye-catching, and works well as either a costume or monster.

* Wolf Guy: I love the call back to Series 5, and for a standalone character, he's done really well.

* Monster Rocker: This one is actually a really solid minifigure with some good parts...I just don't care for the idea.

the banshee is missing her comb :sceptic:

when we were kids we were always warned never to pick up a lost comb found in the street because it was the banshee's comb and she will come looking for it that night so she can sit on your back wall crying while combing her long black hair. to this day whenever i see a lost comb, i give it a wide birth

Has anyone had any difficulty finding the witch? I've tried two different Targets, and I feel like I'm a pretty skilled "feeler" but it seems like she's nowhere to be found for me!

I've seen this comment a couple of times already.

It seems she is pretty popular

I guess it depends on where you live. I had the most trouble finding the Zombie Businessman... I got the only two I've come across.

I know lots of people just grab the bags instead of feeling the pieces inside, so ultimately it may be more up to chance, since the packet placement in each box is random.

They had three of her in a box I found today, but I wasn't looking for her!

Finally got Fly, Square Foot and Wolf Guy! Five is enough for me

I need plant guy and zombie cheer leader. Zombie business man and wolf seems to be in plentiful supply, but plant guy isnt, nor the cheer leader... When I can find the shops that still have stock.... which is a concern.

I've only felt these on one occasion so far, but when I did, the Witch was the hardest one for me to find. I felt through about 40 or so and found every one at least once but didn't feel any Witches. I still want her, so hopefully I'll be able to get her when I'm at the LEGO store for double VIP points tomorrow. I really hope this series won't be sold out. :look:
