According to The Brick Fan, the theme will be based on the new series :sadnew:

For those who thought this theme was a fake, it’s a shame that you didn’t believe our exclusive report. It has been confirmed that LEGO Scooby-Doo will be coming out this year.

The report from BF is that the sets will be based on the upcoming Cartoon Series, Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! but with a classic 70s vibe. The characters themselves will be actual minifigures and not minidolls. There will be new hair molds for the gang and two versions of Scooby-Doo himself. The crooks that will be in the sets are dressed in various outfits including a Black Knight, Dracula, Ghost that is glow in the dark, Headless Horseman with a pumpkin on the head which is removable to show the crook’s real face, Zombie, Mummy, and Lighthouse Keeper.

Mummy Museum Mystery (75900) – £11.99

Mystery Plane Adventures (75901) – £19.99

The Mystery Machine (75902) – £29.99 – What’s disappointing about the van is that it won’t fit the whole gang.

Haunted Lighthouse (75903) – £39.99

Mystery Mansion (75904) – £99.99 – Like with many other LEGO sets and the marketing, you have to get this set to get the whole gang.

Well, they say that BF = Brick Fanatics said it would be on the new series, which they didn't say. Also, a lot of the people who saw the sets at the fair posted on Brickset Forums and claim the minifigures look great.

Thanks for all the info! I have a two questions...

1) What was the minifigure distribution for the gang across all the sets? Like, which members came in which sets?

2) Who was the villain for the Mystery Machine set? Was it just the walking tree?

Not sure about minifigure distribution but the Mystery Machine also comes with a glow in the dark zombie.

Uh oh. Is it going to be like TLM or just some crappy animation with bending arms and legs and other things like that? (I really hate that..[i'm looking at you, Clutch Powers])

IIRC it's around 22 mins, so I'd guess that it'll be along the lines of the Marvel: Maximum Overload animation (not sure if that's the same as Clutch Powers?).

On IMDb, there are two upcoming Scooby-Doo items. One with a 2015 date is Be Cool Scooby-Doo! The other is just titled Scooby-Doo, and is listed as in development. This is possibly the movie people have reported. Therefore we can reasonably deduce that the Lego sets are based off of the show.

Given that we are getting standard figs, it doesn't really concern me that the theme is based on a new show. The characters have had mostly the same looks from the outset. The characters in Lego would look pretty much the same if taken from most of the series. The sets themeselves, though, may not have the dark look of the old show Scooby Doo, Where Are You!

The Rebels hair is not bad

He probably means that the hair colors that Lego gave the characters aren't 100% true to the show. For example Ezra's hair color is purple yet Lego gave him black hair.Or Kanan's hair at first was black even thought in the show he had brown hair but atleast Lego fixed this mistake with the new wokkie gunship set.Let's just hope that Lego will give the gang more accurate hair pieces. There's also the chance that working from concept artwork can skew the colour palette a little... hence the differences.

I don't think anyone needs to see concept artwork for a Scooby line to know what colour things are meant to be.

To be fair, while I love thebrickfan, that statement is in error. Brick Fanatics never said it was based off Be Cool, Scooby Doo.

Could be Alan talked directly to Barry from BF. We see this every year. They have to take everything in a short amount of time and then give reports based on their memory. And people are obviously, going to,pay more attention to some themes over others. We should know for sure next week. Or someone could just ask Barry since he might just forgot to include it.

Nope, i mean the supersmooth stylized Sabine hair in particular, the show makes the hair smooth. but lego sems to have made it even more smooth and bubble like.

I want some definiton in the new hairs, to make them useful and in style with the rest of lego.

Brick Fan simply misread Brick Fanatics report. Bricksets report pretty much confirms it's heavily inspired by the older shows. They specifically note that the Zombie is from the first series.

Scooby and Shaggy appear in all the sets. Fred and Velma each appear in one and Daphne appears in two. Which is sort of interesting distribution.

I'm really excited about the Mystery Machine. With the new parts they've created for it I'm betting it'll actually look pretty accurate. I'm incredibly excited for the Mansion, it sounds great.

From brickset:

"Scooby Doo (August)

For me these were probably the pick of the bunch. They are exactly what I was hoping for in a Scooby Doo theme and had the tone just right, with lots of bright colours on the Mystery Incorporated vehicles and some creepy, but fun, villains. The majority were based on characters from the earliest episodes of Scooby Doo, Where Are You? including the Black Knight Ghost and Zombie.

The human members of the Mystery Gang are all represented using standard minifigure parts but for their hairpieces, which are all new. Scooby Doo appears standing up and sitting down depending on which set you buy and is a new piece.

75900 Mummy Museum Mystery (£11.99) - This set includes a small shrine with a sarcophagus upright against the wall. The sarcophagus was the same as that in a few Pharaoh's Quest sets, as was the Mummy included. Scooby Doo and Shaggy are also featured.

75901 Mystery Plane Adventures (£19.99) - The Headless Horseman included in this set, who comes complete with a pumpkin helmet which can be taken off for the villain's reveal at the end, was my favourite villain of all. He rides a horse unsurprisingly, while Scooby and Shaggy have a lime green and blue biplane and some Scooby Snax. I don't recall the biplane in the show, but it looked like a nice model, very reminiscent of that in 7307 Flying Mummy Attack.

75902 The Mystery Machine (£29.99) - As the flagship vehicle of the entire brand, I had high hopes for the Mystery Machine, and I was not disappointed! The vehicle looked pretty accurate on the box as the finished model was not there, with gaps filled in by 3D printed pieces I think. The windscreen is a new piece which perfectly recreates the one seen in the TV show and there is space for some crime-fighting equipment inside as well as a kitchen area. Scooby, Shaggy and Fred are included along with a pale-skinned zombie based on this character.

75903 Haunted Lighthouse (£39.99) - A dark red and white striped lighthouse dominates this set, which also features a hidden cave and small rowing boat. Scooby, Shaggy, Daphne, a ghostly Lighthouse Keeper and a Swamp Monster are included, all of which looked great.

75904 Mystery Mansion (£79.99) - This set was a real highlight in my opinion and was everything that I had hoped for. It vaguely resembles 9468 Vampyre Castle from the Monster Fighters theme, although this model was far more detailed inside and out than that one. It included a large central tower topped with a clock face, a nicely constructed green house on the left (complete with man-eating plant) and a smaller, rickety looking section of the building on the right which conceals a coffin. Scooby, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne, a Vampire, a Ghost and, best of all, The Black Knight are all included in this set. This means you will have to buy this and The Mystery Machine to get the entire gang, although I suspect most buyers will want to do that anyway as they are the two best sets I think.

The Scooby Doo Mystery Mansion wins my 'best in show' award although I have to agree with Huw that the Technic Mercedes Benz Arocs 3245 looked incredible too."

Sounds fantastic, hopefully it will alleviate some worries. I'm very much looking forward to the mansion and lighthouse. Though it now looks I'll have to be getting the plane set for the headless horseman.

Looks like I will be buying all of the sets. The lighthouse really sounds interesting. If you collect all sets, it appears you will have plenty of spare Scooby Doo and Shaggy figs. This could be a very successful theme since it will appeal to multiple generations. Sure, it is a silly show, but it is fun.

These sound incredible! I will definitely be buying all of them, but it's a shame Velma (my favorite) is in the most expensive set!

Thats great news! Thanks for the post Dartk Punk, I very much look forward to seeing images for this theme of sets. The sets themselves sound interesting however the range of minifigures is repetitive because we get Scooby Doo and Shaggy in every single set (no complaining though). At £182 for the full line seems affordable to me compared to many other themes (its time to make room for the new stuff). :classic:

Man... I regret not picking up the Modular Haunted Mansion. I'm sure it would look great with the Mystery Van and the Scooby Doo gang. Glad they did not waste a mold on Scrappy, I couldn't stand that pup for some reason.

Don't count your chickens before they've hatched! We could see him in future waves.

It's a shame that we get the zombie from the episode "Which Witch is Which?" and we didn't got the actual witch.Any way I hope in the upcoming rumored horror/halloween themed cm series does includes a witch.

They're not going to bring that line back. It was discontinued in the same year it was introduced. That's how poorly it did.

That more likely means it was always planned from the beginning as a "one and done" theme (like Alien Conquest, Pharaoh's Quest, Galaxy Squad, etc.). I haven't seen any indication it did badly.

Mini fig distribution is interesting. Definitely will pick up the Mystery Machine and probably the Lighthouse as well. The more I here about he Mystery Manor set, the more intrigued I am. May have to give that one a look when it's released. If I don't get it, I'll definitely have to pick up Velma and the Black Knight no matter what.
