Aw man. Well maybe they'll show off the mystery machine or something. Is that a possibility? Quote
Robert8 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 We already know the Headless Horseman is a man in disguise. But what about the other villains? Should we expect a new mask/headpiece for Dracula, the Ghost, the Zombie and the other "monsters"? Quote
strangely Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) We already know the Headless Horseman is a man in disguise. But what about the other villains? Should we expect a new mask/headpiece for Dracula, the Ghost, the Zombie and the other "monsters"? I don't think they'll do masks for all those monsters. I'm guessing that the monsters that don't have parts covering the head will have either an alternate head or face (Zombie and Mummy could get a second unmasked head while minifigures like Dracula could just have a reversible head). Ultron Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I would expect a new headmask for the mummy, rather than an entirely separate head. Idk about the zombie though. A headmask might work on him Quote
legofanatic12 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) Are the human minifigures will have regular face printing?? I hope it's not like Exo-Force and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. According to the Brick Fan, this scooby doo theme will be based on the new series, but with the classic 70s vibe. What really does mean in bold text? Once if this theme released, I hope they will make a TV special of Scooby Doo in Legos like Brick Like Me from the Simpsons. Edited January 23, 2015 by legofanatic12 Quote

Brick Fan's information came from Brick Fanatic which doesn't mention it being based on the new show, so take it with a pinch of salt until we have actual confirmation. Quote
jasonwyngard Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 So we still don't know if it's based on the classic show or the new one? Hmm well I'll still be getting the van at least. Quote

Correct, there hasn't been confirmation one way or another. We do know at least a couple of classic villains will appear in the sets. The Zombie and Black Knight have been reported to be from the first series, but we don't know about the rest of the monsters yet. Quote

We don't know, but according to the sets I'd say the classic series: The Haunted Lighthouse set sounds a lot like "A Clue for Scooby Doo", a classic episode And there is a biplane in the "The Headless Horseman of Halloween" episode, again, from the classic series: Finally, the description of Mummy Museum Mystery sounds like "Scooby-Doo and A Mummy, Too", an episode from the classic show as well Edited January 23, 2015 by Robert8 Quote
Ultron Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 The Haunted Lighthouse set sounds a lot like "A Clue for Scooby Doo", a classic episode It does, and captain cutler is one of the most classic and memorable scooby doo villains, but I find it odd he's not in the set especially when something like a glow in the dark or neon green scuba suit is totally doable. Maybe a second wave? I actually might start watching the old series again just to know as much as possible before the next toy fair because I don't think i remember as much about it as I would like to. Quote
Pulp Detective Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) Well maybe the guys from Brickset mistaken Captain Cutler for this so called Swamp Creature. We'll find out any way when the pictures come up. Edited January 23, 2015 by LOTR34 Quote
AFOLguy1970 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Well maybe the guys from Brickset mistaken Captain Cutler for this so called Swamp Creature. We'll find out any way when the pictures come up. It would seem like a lighthouse would have some sort of seagoing villian associated with it instead of a swamp creature. However, it seems hard to believe someone could mistake a diving suit for a swamp creature. Another random thought--I wonder if they will make a minifig accessory mold for a pair of glasses? The gag with Velma losing her glasses could come into play. Perhaps a double sided face, one with glasses, and one without? Then you have the pair of glasses lost somewhere in the mansion. Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Big thick glasses actually appear on series 14 mad scientist.....perhaps Velma's glasses could be removable but I doubt it.....my gut says printed on the head. Quote

Ultron Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Well actually someone did say the swamp monster from the monster fighter series was used as a fill in for a figure in that set...Maybe it is Cutler? Quote
Darth Punk Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I don't think there was any new minifigs at the show. Either artwork or standins were used for representation. Quote
The Kid Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 The Monster Fighters swamp monster is included in the Lighthouse set. It wasn't a stand-in - if the final figure wasn't ready yet (such as with Deathstroke in the DC range) then all that was shown on the accompanying artwork was a name, not a stand-in. There were no physical representations of new figures at all. Quote
Only Sinner Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I can't wait to get all of these sets. Wait, what the heck am I going to do with an army of Shaggies? That sounds like a band name. Army Of Shaggies Quote

The Kid Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I thought someone mentioned white minfigs being used as stand ins To simplify it as much as possible... All physical minifigures were blank white figures with yellow hands Artwork cards next to each set displayed the actual included minifigures Some of the art was blank where minifigures weren't finalized yet The Swamp Monster was finalized.
