Scooby's head does indeed move!

Makes me wonder if there might be a surprise inside the tree. Maybe a minifigure or a clue or something.

I'm not that big of a fan of Scooby Doo but that Mystery machine looks pretty cool, and at $30 it's reasonable enough. Will most likely be the only thing I get from the lineup.

I was expecting the worst when I first heard the news of a Scooby Doo theme, but looking at just the Mystery Machine alone, I'm sold. The minifigs look great, the Mystery Machine itself is fantastic, the zombie is sweet, but the only sour note is the tree. Looks a little awkward, but I'm anxious to see the rest of the line.

I'm probably only getting the Mystery Machine (and whatever unrevealed set turns out to be unexpectedly great), but I've got to say that Velma should have removable glasses. I have no idea how that could be done, but preventing kids from recreating the "I can't see without my glasses!" scene? That's just wrong.

Not too much of a fan of Scooby's overly cutesy look, to be honest. He kind of hits uncanny valley, which could have been prevented by making him blockier (which would have the nice side-effect of giving him a more classic LEGO look). Shaggy's facial expression seems kind of awkward, but I'm pretty sure I have at least one minifig head with chin stubble.

"Zoinks?!"

Those sets look great... I guess one of my Lotr displays will to make room for it... Still some time to save up before they're released.

Well at least the cape will fit my vampire from the Monster Fighters set "The Vampyre Hearse".Still I like how faithfull Lego is with the character designs. If we get more waves I hope we get the witch and her house from the episode "Which Witch is Which".

I'm definitely in the "Wow, looks great! Oh boy, look at all those stickers… :sceptic: " camp. I think I'll reserve judgement until we see more of the lineup than the MM and the Mansion.

I'm guessing that with licensing costs and all the new molds for the characters and such, the stickers were a cost-saving measure to keep what will probably be one of the the most-bought sets in the lineup at a reasonable cost, but when stickers cover that much of a build it makes it look cheap to me.

All that said, overall it's a total nostalgia hit and it looks like a lot of FUN, which is what Legos is about. :sweet:

She could have a double sided head to feature her without glasses if one chooses to do so. We probably will not know until later on unless someone just happened to ask that exact question at one of the Toy Fairs.

The mansion looks interesting. Some rare purple parts are there, and I like the look of the Black Knight and Velma especially. I think having different facial expressions on Scooby was a great idea too. After close inspection of the Mystery Machine photos, it does appear that there is at least one sticker that has to be attached to multiple parts. There is a hinged section, and perhaps that is really two stickers on either side of the hinge. Even if so, it appears that the stickers overlap with a blue 1x2x2 part and other unknown part(s) behind it. Assuming the tree is a sticker, it looks like we are getting about 15-17 stickers in the set. The hubcaps and frontcap are probably printed. Despite the stickers, it looks like a day 1 purchase.

I love that set but the amount of stickers is gag worthy. There is no need to have four stickers for the part over the wheels, if there are four in the set it should be printed.

Guess I should be happy they didn't use stupid huge heads.

And the castle looks great, I love the greenhouse section on the left with the pumpkin.

Holy smokes that car looks amazing! The figures are also beautiful! Fred looks great and Shaggy and Scooby are spot on. The zombie looks really nice too, he even seems to have some glow in the dark parts. I guess the only thing I'm not too fond of is the sticker across multiple parts for the "Mystery Machine" logo across the side, but I'm probably going to keep the model together it's just that nice. The mansion also looks great. And now seeing the rest of the meddling kids, I'm sold. Curse you, Lego, and your ability to pander to my nostalgia!

These figures are amazing! I love them all especially scooby! I wonder if Velma will have a second face without glasses and then maybe there will be some glasses printed on a smooth 2x1 tile piece or something. I could see that happening.
