K-Nut Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 The Mystery Manor set does look pretty neat, though I'm not sure I'll be picking it up. Black Knight and Ghost look very generic in that set, but the Gang looks pretty neat! Once I see the rest of the theme I'll decide what and what not to get. Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) These look interesting. The monsters look fine, and it's obvious by the greenhouse in the Mansion that LEGO was trying to use the pumpkin mask as much as they could. The Mystery Gang looks all right, too. I'd like to see the lighthouse, since the other sets aren't grabbing me too much. Edited January 23, 2015 by 8BrickMario Quote
K-Nut Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 These figures are amazing! I love them all especially scooby! I wonder if Velma will have a second face without glasses and then maybe there will be some glasses printed on a smooth 2x1 tile piece or something. I could see that happening. This might just be the idea of the year. Quote
Ultron Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 This might just be the idea of the year. I mean I'd love removable glasses just as much as the next guy but I don't know how that be possible! Quote
Cammo Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Just saw that the mansion is 90 EUR. Very reasonable price as well... Quote
fred67 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I love that set but the amount of stickers is gag worthy. There is no need to have four stickers for the part over the wheels, if there are four in the set it should be printed. Guess I should be happy they didn't use stupid huge heads. And the castle looks great, I love the greenhouse section on the left with the pumpkin. That was exactly my first thought, upon seeing the larger Mystery Machine, was "wow... sticker-ama..." ... But it won't keep me from buying it. I would hope to somehow get all the figures without buying the big mansion set, but the mansion looks great on it's own. Honestly, I'd just want the MM with the whole gang, and I'd display it like I do the Ecto-1, but I didn't get the Vampyre Castle or Haunted House (and regret it), so I could live with having to buy it. I'm happier than I figured I would be with these. Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Wasn't planning on getting into this theme (I'm collecting WAAAAY too many), but man.....these look great! I'll likely cave and get the Mystery Machine, at least. Quote
williejm Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Velma looks particularly amazing, and it certainly looks like Scooby has an articulated head. Loving these. I alos like how they do mesh well with the Monsters we already have. Quote
DD840 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Am I the only one a bit disappointed in the mansion? It'll need expanding and I hope the purple isn't too bright. Quote
Trace17 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 These look groovy! I was a huge fan of Scooby Doo when I was a bit younger, I might be all in for these sets....ruh roh... Quote
jasonwyngard Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 At first the mystery machine didn't look that good but it's grown on me. and the gang all look pretty good although I'm not sure about Daphne's hair. But overall I can't wait for the theme now! It looks like Scooby gets a different snack in every set so hopefully we'll get one of the boxes of Scooby snacks in one of them. Quote
MrManiac Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) I'm in the "not buying but very impressed" category. Scooby-Doo isn't really my thing anymore, but these sets look really good. That mansion especially is fantastic, especially with the decaying roof/greenhouse on one side. Nice job, Lego! EDIT: Aaaaaand I just noticed all of the stickers on the Mystery Machine. Yikes. montgocloud Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 These look great! But do I see two STAMPs on the Mystery Machine? Wait... They would be on the other side as well... So four STAMPs? I could be wrong though, it just looks that way to me. The only separation between stickers that I see is right on the hinged area. I love the Mystery Manor though. These sets are must-buys! Quote
ObadiahPoundage Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 My Friday evening has just got that little bit more interesting. My thoughts on the Mystery Mansion? I like it. Up to a point. My initial reaction was not the sharp intake of breath, followed by the "Oooh, that's rather nice" that I was expecting myself to make Instead, it was to wonder if the use of the purple detracts from the overall set. It's a bit too bright and garish More a case of Scooby don't rather than Scooby Doo. Quote
Captain Nemo Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Ok, that's it! I want this whole theme now! I've not watched Scooby Doo in years, but this theme is just gorgeous! That Mansion is just amazing, the colors are vibrant but dark, and it has such a sucessful spooky vibe. It does surprise me to see the pumpkin mask included--since that would seem like it should be exclusive for the Headless Horseman set--but it's nonetheless great. Velma and Daphne I think could be some of the best minifigures we get all year! And despite the fears that Daphne's glasses don't come off, I'm sure her alternative face does not include them for the affect--it would be a safe bet. Quote
vriverajr3 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Wow, this theme look great! Love the look of scooby and the gang. I think this topic needs to be pinned now right? Quote
adotnamedstud Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 This theme looks fantastic! So much good stuff! And to rest the case. Those stickers... AREN'T STAMPs Quote

KCMatze Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 That IS a lot of stickers. But this way it looks really accurate and AWESOME. I just need the Must-Have-Mystery-Machine and maybe Shaggy, Scooby and Daphne. Her hair is great! Quote
Cy_Bored1337 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 LEGO's Mystery Machine is way better than Character Building's Quote
jasonwyngard Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I've been saying this forever! Pin this, PLEASE! What are the rules for pinning stuff exactly? Does a mod need to do it? Quote

AREN'T STAMPs Are you sure about those THE MYSTERY MACHINE stickers across the doors? Those look like turquoise hinge plates and unless TLG has come up with a new 2x1x4 brick in green I'm not sure how it can be done without STAMPS Edited January 23, 2015 by eurotrash Quote
Super Goblin Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Those are just normal green bricks. That is two stickers across the doors. Quote

adotnamedstud Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Or new cabinet pieces, since there is a kitchen in there. (Hasn't that been rumored?) or just 1x4 bricks. Quote
