Ceroknight Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 These look really nice! I'm not the biggest fan of Scooby but the simple design of each minifigure look great! Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Ok we have full gang coming now all we need is scrappy Quote
Venkefedo Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 They came up with a 1x4x2 panel in a few sets last year. Well, I've never been into Scooby Doo much, and the two sets we have pictures of so far don't look like I could use them in my city - but I'm still curious about the others, and the minifigures do look nice, so I think I still might get a set or two... Yeah, I'm guessing it's just this, adding more colors to the mix, much like the 2x1 & 2x2 curved slopes that exploded with Mixels, Legend Beasts, and elsewhere last year. Digging the sets so far. Lots of stickers is a downer, but I still like 'em. Great new hair pieces, fun villains (why not the classic Knight helmet for the Mystery Mansion's knight? The vertical slits would better match the cartoon knight, unless the greathelm was chosen to better hide a villain identity or something) Quote
Robert8 Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 (edited) Scrappy is banned on the Scooby Doo franchise, since everyone hates him. They even turned him a villain on one of the live action movies Edited January 24, 2015 by Robert8 Quote
GuntherThePenguin Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 I hate Scrappy just as much as everyone else, but it would be fun to see him in a set someday. As someone suggested, seeing the Hex Girls in a set would be incredible! Can't wait to see pics of the other sets. Quote

Robert8 Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Really, I've never watched any of the live action movies........now I wonder if the sets are base on any cartoon episodes or just inspiration from the different monster characters ? The Mystery Manor is a mash-up of some episodes. I made a post about the other sets: We don't know, but according to the sets I'd say the classic series: The Haunted Lighthouse set sounds a lot like "A Clue for Scooby Doo", a classic episode And there is a biplane in the "The Headless Horseman of Halloween" episode, again, from the classic series: Finally, the description of Mummy Museum Mystery sounds like "Scooby-Doo and A Mummy, Too", an episode from the classic show as well Quote
BrickBuilder7622 Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Oh my goodness, this will be awesome! I can't wait until they release these. I love the way the Mystery-Mobile (I think that's the name) is built. Quote
JusticeAvengingFellowship Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 I have been a Scooby Doo fan since childhood and bought all the scooby doo episodes on DVD (Where are You, New Movies, Show, & Scrappy doo, Pup, what's new) and when they announced I can't even describe how excited I am Quote
Tarfful Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 -snip- I love the way the Mystery-Mobile (I think that's the name) is built. you mean the Mystery Machine? > O |Tarfful Quote
JusticeAvengingFellowship Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Found this article describing the sets in more detail. It says all the monsters the mummy will obviously be in mummy museum mystery, the lighthouse keeper in haunted lighthouse, we already have seen pictures that Dracula, zombie, ghost, and black knight are in, so that means horseman is in the plane set http://lego.gizmodo.com/lego-scooby-doo-and-other-new-sets-announced-at-london-1680751858 Here's the site I found Quote

As a side note: This helmet in metallic dark gray would look much better on the Black knight and is way more accurate. Quote
GoldenChi Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 those sets really look fantastic.I want this theme to continue for at least a few more years, with sets of all price ranges, pollybags, etc. And I'm looking forward to all the animation media surrounding it. Hell, I actually wouldn't mind if future sets include Be Cool-exclusive characters and monsters. I really hope the gang's faces are double sided, with a scared/freaked-out face. Quote
Ultron Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 I really hope the gang's faces are double sided, with a scared/freaked-out face. That reminds me, how awesome would it be to eventually get Shaggy with this hairpiece? And it would be cool if Scooby could somehow jump into his arms like he frequently does. Quote

Ultron Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 (edited) Do you think the sitting version could possibly do that with the help of a super jumper type thing? I mean more like Scooby being able to attach around shaggy's body like in the spoiler tag. (I've posted too many pics on this page ) But I doubt even a sitting scooby would fit on a super jumper because of that piece that sticks up on it Edited January 24, 2015 by Ultron Quote

Dredgen Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 As a side note: This helmet in metallic dark gray would look much better on the Black knight and is way more accurate. Indeed, I wonder why they didn't. Just looks like a generic knight now... Is any one else planning on covering the studs on the Mystery Machines roof? I think it will look a lot cleaner. Not sure on the color though, Medium Azure? Quote
Kintobor Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 I just realized that the hair piece for the new zombie cheerleader mini figure looks suspiciously like Dusk's from the Hex Girls. I don't want to say confirmed, but Lego could at least now design a Dusk figure. I now just want a Hex Girls line. Give it to me, Lego, my body is ready even though my wallet isn't. Quote
Faefrost Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Oh wow! I just saw the two sets revealed... Damn you Lego! I had had absolutely no interest in this line... but it just looks to good. That Haunted Mansion! and am I the only one hoping that somebody starts making some Venture Brothers customs to "go along" with this theme? VENTURESTEIN LIVES!!! I NEED them!!! As a side note: This helmet in metallic dark gray would look much better on the Black knight and is way more accurate. You're right. Heck put a black head in it with just two eyes. like a Jawa and it would be perfect. Quote
SFmuscle73 Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 If you want my opinion, maybe Scooby Doo and his meddling kids can break the The Great Cookie Smuggling Cartel of the Detective Agency Modular Set! As the baking and smuggling of the cookies is taking place right under Ace Brickman's nose, he clearly has NO SKILLS to solve that case without their help! Use Velma's smarts and show Ace how it's done!!! ;) Quote
