ResIpsaLoquitur Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 I think it'd be logical to have a poly or two. They're gateway drugs, and they give TLG an extra opportunity to use up a mold. I'd assume a poly would be either Scooby or a mini Mystery Machine. Maybe Target will get one for Halloween? Quote
TheBigRedCheese Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 At my LEGO Store yesterday, the only set on the SD shelf was a single copy of the Lighthouse! We don't know much, but there's a "nostalgic" D2C set coming out next year. Could it be from this theme? I know I'm going to be sorry for asking, but what's D2C mean? Quote
8BrickMario Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Direct-to-consumer, that is, only sold at LEGO Stores. Quote
Darkdragon Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Direct-to-consumer, that is, only sold at LEGO Stores. And Toys R Us (in the usa) Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Anyone know if Velma will appear in a cheaper set? I'd love her figure, but the price is too damn high for the Haunted House set. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote

I'd love her figure, but the price is too damn high for the Haunted House set. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Yeah the set is very much worth every penny--as is Velma. I think the chances are rather up in the air for getting more Scooby sets, and even if we do, I wouldn't expect them to be on shelves until at least this time next year (to again coincide with fall/Halloween). That being said, Velma is not a figure you want to miss, as you'd be literally paying for it later. Her secondary market value is already $20 to $30. Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 (edited) I hope there might eventually be a Velma Dinkley Fun Pack for LEGO Dimensions. She's easily my top pick for the next character from this franchise that should be a playable one in the game. Edited August 29, 2015 by Blondie-Wan Quote
strangely Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 I could see them doing packs pairing one gang member with one monster. Quote

Dimensions only has sets planned til May and they've all been revealed. Quote

Dimensions only has sets planned til May and they've all been revealed. They specifically stated that dimensions is just going to be expanded and that they're not pulling the new game every year trick. At the current release rate the next wave we haven't seen should be next July. Quote
Dr.Cogg Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 I hope the D2C is a haunted Mansion like the Monster fights, I also would like it if TLG started putting more hiding spots in the sets for the bad guys, like the Harry Potter sets. Quote
Robert8 Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 (edited) Foreshadowing of things to come? Edited September 2, 2015 by Robert8 Quote
8BrickMario Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Oh, that moving-eyes painting is actually sort of creepy. Quote
Ultron Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 This makes me want both more sets and an actual Scooby-Doo game. One that I only have to spend $60 on. Quote
Captain Nemo Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 That would be really cool to get a sets like that. And I second the need for an individual Scooby-Doo game, it seems ripe for success. Building traps, solving puzzles, and collecting characters fits Scooby-Doo and the Lego gaming style perfectly. Quote
kelceycoe Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Is that a MF in the first painting? Foreshadowing of things to come? Quote

BluePulse Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Is that a MF in the first painting? MF? monster fighter, and no, it isnt, but the printing does have similarities to the fighter in the werwolf set, this one just lacks the steampunk monocle and looks younger with what i think looks like a black mustache Quote

BrickSev Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 I have to say I really like the current Scooby Doo sets. I got the Mummy set and the Lighthouse. I'll plan to buy the others soon (I blame the new Star Wars sets for not have already bought the rest of the wave lol) I just wrote a review of the Mummy set. Here's is the link, if anyone is interested Lego 75900 Mummy Museum Mystery Review A little note: I heard we are allowed to post links to our reviews in topic like this. If not please let me know. I don't want to break the rules lol I'd post the review here but I've taken so many photos (and most are high res) and I don't want to "clog" the post Anyway a quick question: is the Mystery Mansion as cool as it looks? I'm really thinking about getting it so any advice is very appreciated. Thank You Quote
Jacob_9821 Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 As far as the build goes, it's pretty rock solid and can take some abuse. Fair warning, the stickers are pretty annoying to get on. Take your time and you'll be fine. Overall it's a fun little set with nice parts. You should definitely get it. Regarding what some think may be the D2C set, I'm not sure if Lego would do another large mansion as the last Halloween D2C was a mansion. Quote
kelceycoe Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) Scooby Doo will have two "games" for the kids thanks to the NEW October store calendar. Also we will have a Scooby Doo sticker set and poster. Look for those on Ebay! http://cache.lego.com/r/stores/-/media/brand%20retail/stores/calendar/october/5557-oct2015-cal-ds2.pdf?l.r2=-1434099248 Also, Scooby Doo and the CMF14 get a lot of coverage in this edition's Club magazine, all 3 editions so get all 3 of them. Club codes are: PUMPKIN PUMPKIN2 (this was in the Friends edition) MYSTERY (from last edition) Edited September 7, 2015 by kelceycoe Quote
AFOLguy1970 Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Anyway a quick question: is the Mystery Mansion as cool as it looks? I'm really thinking about getting it so any advice is very appreciated. Thank You It has some interesting build techniques, especially with the greenhouse. It is definitely unusual with all of the purple features, but it does make an interesting display piece. The minifig selection is very good with the three classic "monsters". With Velma going for insane amounts on BL and Ebay, I would go ahead and get the set. Quote
