DrJB Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 (edited) Thank you. Yes I recall seeing that topic, but was wondering if anyone had attempted an LXF (I reckon my question was not stated correctly). Otherwise it's an activity for an upcoming evening. :) Edited April 14, 2015 by DrJB Quote

kamsohal Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 is it possible to use the flex axles instead of the hoses? Quote
Rishab N Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 is it possible to use the flex axles instead of the hoses? Nope I believe the creator stated somewhere that some lengths aren't available Feel free to correct me if you find out otherwise Quote
DrJB Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 (edited) Here is my attempt at replicating this beautiful masterpiece in LXF. Of course, and thanks to LDD's non-collision constraints, I was not able to put all the sub-assemblies together. If anyone can improve upon the model, by all means. Also, the Aventador uses the 8070 spindle, which is not available in LDD. As such, the tires are 'floating'. I also changed the wheel color to titanium, looks a bit 'different', and maybe even promising. Lamborghini Aventador.lxf Edited April 18, 2015 by DrJB Quote

OneMoreRobot Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 is it possible to use the flex axles instead of the hoses? Yes, I'm currently building the White & Black version, I bought a bunch of 19L white flex axles and fabricate to the required length by cutting & welding, I made a post earlier this year on the method. Hint, when shortening flex axles, cut & join near the section where the cross section becomes round, with practice the join is undetectable. Expecting to complete my model in 1 - 2 weeks, happy to post photos if anyone is interested. Quote
Polo-Freak Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Iam build the White Version to, with White flexis :-) Quote

OneMoreRobot Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Hey Onemorerobot did you have to modify the original build to use regular flex axles? No, worked out fine using flex axles, mostly 19L - cheaper @ tlg than BL. An excellent design to start with, l just wanted to be 100% Lego with my build since I display & did'nt want to waste time explaining the hoses, should not make much difference visually either way it's built.
