LuxorV Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Hey, Can I use your translation services for my order please? :) I think it would be better to have this discussion via the PM system. Let's keep the thread as clean and easy to read as possible. Thanks. Quote
kevin1990 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I want to get some castle things printed again. but again I'm always worried about quality of printers Does anybody have a high quality pic of a printed piece by steindrucker? Quote
raminator Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 (edited) look at my flickr stream or his facebook page. here´s the link to his FB: https://de-de.facebo...om/Steindrucker Edited May 7, 2015 by raminator Quote
firefly101 Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 His print quality and color are excellent. Only issues are language since I had to use a translator. His machine and his quality is unmatched IMO. Otherwise I would not have sent those shields to him. Right now he is going to reprint and ship back at no charge for the few shields that had a mix up. One thing he does do, All torso's are done in thick bright print, but the shields he prints a little lighter, I believe this is done to save print material and makes the shields almost flat in print. But they are a little dull compared to Torso prints, this might be because of the Large order I had, but that is about the only complaint I have. I didn't make a big deal about it because they look fine. But apparently he printed 5 falcon shield with the thicker print and they had a brighter look because of it. Since he was printing a pearl gray shields it would make them seem Dull. I think its best to keep orders small, there is less room for error and to use only what he has in stock for parts, sending things to him causes issues with customs etc. Quote
raminator Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 The problem is that on dark surfaces he has to print a white undercoat. Else the colors wouldn't look right. (use a red edding on a black torso...) On lighter colored surfaces he does not need to print the undercoat necessarily. The colors might be a bit off then but the print will be pretty flat (like printing on light bley shields makes the colors look a bit darker). Service is great. Once, in his early days, I was not Ok with the quality of the print. He did not hesitate to print them again and sent them to me for free. And like said earlier, if you need help with communication, feel free to contact me. Quote

I had a few things printed last year by a printer in the US and I had many issues printing on black. Had to do reprints a few time and change the colors lighter and lighter. I figured it was a limitation of the printer and I stopped. Quote

firefly101 Posted July 26, 2016 Author Posted July 26, 2016 Personally I don't mind if he uses anything of mine, I think its good others get a chance to use them on their Legos. I don't think we should be too worried about property rights on Art for Lego unless we sell the stuff ourselves. I really would prefer someone to offer things like the stickers as it would have saved me a lot of money and time! Quote
Mitchmonsoon2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 (edited) Hi there i really would love the black falcons horse barding sticker set. Is it still possible ?? Edited April 30, 2017 by Mitchmonsoon2017 Quote

DragonB81 Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 Awesome art work. How do you capture the original lego faction symbols? I'm trying to create an original black knight horse barding template to remake in a different color with a cricut. On 2/15/2015 at 4:24 AM, firefly101 said: Here is another Decal I redone for the Blue falcon Noble, I made a back for the blue one and made a green one for the dragons. Better could be done on the back but that part doesn't have to be used, plus the print is so small on the torsos most defects are not even noticeable. Blue noble back for falcons Green Dragon Noble front and back. Quote
