Peppy, let me know if any more are needed. I've got one for Matt and myself, will your supplies cover six more vouchers? If not, I'll go and find more.

I have to take a check. I know we had some that expire this year but there are also new ones mixed in now that last until next year and we are likely to use as a family (Alton Towers would be stupid costly without them!) so should know soon. I have to find where they've been squirrelled away...

I contacted them too, though I only PMed the reply to Christian. I got a similar reply with an extra line saying:

Please note, all of our bedrooms accommodate a maximum of 2 adults

Shame Mike can't make it. So who's bringing the rats for the spitting contest? :)

I wouldn´t worry to much about that  ! Keep practicing  !

Thanks to both Holodoc and MstrOfPppts for contacting the hotel about accommodating me in one of the already booked rooms. I really appreciate you guys for trying to help me!

Unfortunately it seems like that is not possible and my only option is to book a single room for £600, which is simply too expensive for me to justify going this year. I am sorry to say, but this means that I will have to skip this year's event. I am sorry if my decision to skip the event this late causes any inconvenience with the planning of the event.

I hope you will have a fantastic event and don't forget to take a lot of pictures for those of us who are not able to be there.

Sorry to hear you won't be able to make it, Christian :cry_sad: We shall see you next year!

Do not worry about us taking pictures

I heard somebody bought a camera recently

Just a little update: The Eurobricks apparel that everybody ordered is all done, ready to be taken to Windsor next week and paid for. I will reach out to everyone in regards to payment. As I'm not really into collecting foreign currencies I'd like to do this over paypal or bank transfer in Euro - is that okay for everyone?

And here I was hoping I could pay you with this suitcase full of Zimbabwe dollars.. oh well, guess it will have to be euros then.

More news: We took care of some awesome event sets!

To cover the parts we are asking for 20€ per set and we'll have enough for everybody, including a little surprise! No pictures yet, you'll have to wait for next week!

Is everyone excited??? I sure hope so! (I am!) :cry_happy:

I'll reach out to everyone regarding payment and blabla.

(And no, Quarry, no Zimbabwe dollars, I already hate GBP with a passion and I don't need more hate currencies  )

yes, Yes, YES!

I have seen a first glimpse of the sets. They are AWESOME! (and worth every penny/cent/Zimbabwe dollar)

Furthermore I have taken another glimpse at the weatherforecast for Windsor next week: Looking very, very good: No showers, 9-12 hours of sun per day and stable around 24° C. Wohooo! :cry_happy:

I really hope your weather forecast is correct, that'd be even more awesome!

Rolli thanks for the opportunity, I was really starting to wonder where to use the Czech koruna I didn't spend :P

Of course I'm excited althoguh there's hardly any time to be ...

This is my source.

News on the program!

Thursday:

Slowly starting the event program, we have a bit of spare time in the morning. Maybe have a look around the corner of the hotel?

We'll be visiting the call center in Slough in the afternoon, lunch is provided and there will be a building contest with prizes (organized by the friendly Operations Support Team)!

After that we'll be heading for Maidenhead to have dinner and then: Bowling time! So start practising.

Friday:

A grand day out! You will have to decide either to go to London (by train) or stay in Windsor (Castle?).

Background: We are a small group, but I heard some people would prefer Windsor over London, so we better split up and meet again in the evening to have dinner, for example here.

Miss Kyle kindly offered to lead the group in London (which me and my sons will be part of).

Please tell me wether you would prefer to join the capital-group or stay local.

Contests and a presentation from DK books via/by Miss Kyle in the evening...

Saturday:

Legoland Winsor Resort all the way, baby! We are still working to get some extra stuff there, but it's a bit like jam - wait and see.

Evening: The final contests and more prizes! :moar::wub_drool:

Yeah! Nice program  I guess I will take the London trip because I just love this town ;) Windsor castle we wanted to head for last time and IMO it is way to expensive and a small discount you get from a group of 16 or more when I remember right :hmpf:

Yay!

The DK presentation will be small, but hopefully special! :)

As for the London trip - all ye who would like to go, please let me know what you would like to see or are generally interested in. I would be happy not to go to the same places over and over again and choose some more unusual sights instead. I'll sit down over the weekend and draw up some suggestions and recommendations, but will let you decide in the end.

Ooh. I love London. Orbital Comics, Forbidden Planet, pubs and beers! That means I'll have a more leisurely arrival by car on Wednesday, skipping a trip into the city.

Do we need € cash or would a transfer be preferable?

Excitement!

Isn't there a very great burger-eating-possibility for noon which is not far from the Forbidden Planet?

Just in between the sightseeing
