So the time of the 2015 event is getting closer :sweet: !This year will be in Legoland Windsor, UK between thursday the 4th until sunday the 7th of June. The program will be revealed as we secure cool stuff but the dates will make it possible to book transport and lodging now.We have looked at lodging in the area and choosen the Oakley Court Hotel, Windsor as our "official" place.

It´s located about 3,3 kilometers from Legoland. Here´s information on the prices:

Arrival 3rd June 2015 for 2 adults for 4 nights in a Superior twin bedroom

  • 15% Off Direct Bed & Breakfast @ £590/€755 per room - fully pre payable at the time of booking, non-transferable or refundable
  • Flexible Room Only @ £600/€768 per room - card required to guarantee, payment upon arrival and can be cancelled by 3pm 24 Hours prior to your arrival date without charge
  • Advance Purchase Bed & Breakfast @ £640/€820 per room - fully pre payable at the time of booking, non-transferable or refundable
  • Flexible Bed & Breakfast @ £680/€870 per room - card required to guarantee, payment upon arrival and can be cancelled by 3pm 24 Hours prior to your arrival date without charge
  • For Families there would be an extra £400/€512 per room for the interconnecting room.

Direct offer if applicable - fully pre payable at the time of booking, non-transferable or refundable.

So for one person who stays 4-7th of June and have booked the cheapest option the price will be £74/€95 per night, £295/€378 in total!

You will book and pay per individual twin room via the website of the hotel. We don´t have any rooms pre-reserved so it´s up to you to book.

Here´s the link to the booking.

Here´s all the information about the hotel.

There´s a lot of nice stuff in the hotel, for example:

Snooker room

Indoor pool

Gymnasium

Sauna

Steam room

Whirlpool spa

So start signing up for the event in this thread and then find a buddy and book!

Sounds fantastic!

However as it's being held after half term I wonder if it will be possible to come either just for the weekend with the family or possibly just a day at Legoland Windsor?

Awesome, I've been waiting for this to start :)

We'll be there one way or the other - I don't know if we'll book the hotel, but we'll definitely be around for a day at least!

Same here. Although I live in the UK I've never been to Legoland Windsor... a full 4 days stay would be a bit much for me but I'd love to come down for a day or two.

Just checked back with the other half - we probably won't be able to afford the hotel, so we'll sleep at home and be around during the days.

Hotel price is a liitle bit high, but it looks like a very nice place so it could be justified.

However, I do have other "problem", which will most likely prevent me from coming, but if all checks out, there will be two additional junior eurobrickers coming to next years event :)

lol I could drive the 200+ miles there and back everyday and still pay less than the hotel room for one night!

Never been to one of these events before, whats the program? What is there to see/do? Anyone want to give me a run through so to speak?

I think there is 1 free day of Legoland Windsor for Merlin pass holders from other Legolands if I'm not mistaken. Maybe we can take this into account for the schedule.

Then again I don't know how many of us would actually be eligible for this (I have a Merlin pass from Legoland Germany).

Also I will be able to take care of the usual clothing line that Dfenz was taking care of the last years (he is very unlikely to come). More on this later though.

Just discussing this with the wife!

Also people who are UK based! Keep an eye out for Merlin 2 for 1 tokens on packaging, I think some cereal brands had them and possibly some other boxed groceries. They last to the end of June, It means two adults will have half price tickets with each token, as it is one free entry with a full-price ticket. Anyone without an annual pass can pair up and pay half each for the ticket you need to buy.

OMG! Congratulations, MAN! So it is twins for sure? Wow! They should be in good company in a couple of years with BabyEBers popping out all over!

Make sure you get some peace and quiet time and sleep before they arrive because it will be difficult for the next 12 years or so! But sooooooo much FUN, and you will have to buy even more Duplo and LEGO for them as well. I am watching my five month old granddaughter most weekday mornings and love it. A bit difficult to answer business calls when she is screaming her brains out, so I just walk in the next room, close the door, and let her scream a bit. She is chewing on everything with teeth about to erupt, so it definitely is too early for Duplo. But there is a box of chewed up Duplo awaiting her when she turns one! I am hoping that she starts building with LEGO at three like her father did.

Again congratulations to you and your wife....WOW! And WHOOPIE!!!

Thanks for the 2 for 1 info, Pep! We used one of those last time.

So what is there in the way of displays? Does anyone have a link to pictures of previous events?

Sadly I don't think it is that kind of meet up,but more of a drag around some shops and a visit to a Lego park.

Event index and last year's picture thread. There are no displays - it is a very fun meet-up though. :classic:

Wish I could come, but we are moving facilities at work in June so we got a no vacation month then :(

I'll wait for next year then =)

Have a good time over in the UK =)

Ah, sadly I don't think I will be able to make it this year. Which is a shame since it was such a great event last time in Windsor! I recommend everyone who has the opportunity to join!

We really wanted to go, as it would be our first Eurobricks event to attend and we live close enough to England but the price of the hotel is so high it makes the trip impossible. People have told me that if you stay somewhere other than the designated hotel, you miss out on a lot of the social activities, which kind of defeats the purpose of going.

I also can't make it this time. Maybe next year. Be sure to take lots of pictures!

The hotel price is kinda high.
