Wow, sariel, seems to be pretty fast and stiff! although the wheel on the back seems to be a bit to heavy and is not necessary needed for driving.

What about using four Ls instead of two XLs for enough torque but also speed (If I accept, that buggy motors are used elsewhere)? (But I have no experience whether the BB will survive it)

Looks cool !!!!!!!!!!

I was also thinking why not use RC motors ?

I think Sariel just whipped this up to test the stuff he mentioned, not to make a super fast truck with buggy motors. And yeah, I agree, it does look really cool!!

Awesome creation, as always. Loving that suspension travel, especially.

It's a shame i never get to hear real audio in your videos, though. I'd love to hear the PF motors and the grass / leaves / dirt under those wheels, but i always end up muting your vids due to the awful, awful music. Just a minor gripe i suppose, it's just that i would like to get the whole experience from your vids.

Nice concept. What are the plans for this concept? Will you make a more refined model using the same principles, or was it a pure technical test?

I like the solution with the shocks on the links. Have to try that sometime.

sariel could you put 2 buggy motors with one sbrick?:3 is it possibile far The electronics?

thelegoexpert seriel trys that solution (Three are photos on Facebook I think) But He decided To put XL motors due To The lack o Power of The L ones (I'm sorry forse The caps But Mu phone is Not setted with The English vocabulary)

An L motor setup would be way cheaper and use less battery power.

Also, it would not work. I know, I tested it.

As far as I know, it is.

This thing is fascinating to watch, and looks very much like a real R/C vehicle at a distance due to those tires and the mostly black construction. Having driven lots of R/C trucks, I can see that the one thing lacking to provide truly amazing off-road performance is some damping. The suspension has the right amount of travel and the right springs, but there is a lot of osciallation and bouncing which makes control difficult. I'd be interested to see how it would perform if some LEGO dampers (without springs) were put in parallel with the suspension. I had an R/C car in which the shock oil had leaked out of the shocks so there was no damping, and it was hard to control. When I refilled the oil, the difference was like night and day.

Regarding the SBrick, your experience with the difficulty using a flat screen smartphone makes me again hope that they can make it work with Bluetooth game controllers. I know it can already be done using a laptop as a bridge, but that's way too difficult for a day at the park.
