Outworlder Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 wow! this is stunning. I can see why it took half a year. You also managed to create the definitive Hoth MOC. I dont think anyone has come close this size and detial very well done   Quote
karmajay Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Great job! Awesome to look at! Thanks! Quote
Punisher16 Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 WOW! Really impressive... Especially for the Bacta Tank. Quote
thire5 Posted January 19, 2015 Author Posted January 19, 2015 (edited) Thank you for replies!! Yes, that Falcon is based on UCS Millennium Falcon, but upgraded version with lights Edited January 23, 2017 by thire5 Fixed image Quote
BrickBuilder7622 Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 This is quite the phenomenal build. Absolutely spectacular and obviously very well thought out. :-) Quote
Chills Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 That's just insane!! I absolutely love this MOC, just amazing! Could you post more close-ups of the AT-ATs? They look just brilliant. Quote
thire5 Posted January 21, 2015 Author Posted January 21, 2015 I absolutely love this!! Im slightly gutted there arent more pics (that i can find) that show in more detail the AT ATs and how they are built internally, or if they have any form of an interior, but the fact there are 4 of them! They fill the scene nicely. Especially the downed one, that is pretty cool! The working bacta tank is a nice detailed touch, how did you seal it? It literally has everything in the scene, even Darth Vaders corridor! Great job! Well that bacta is sealed by silicon (it doesn't hurt Lego, don't worry ) You can see it next year again on Lipno exhibition. It was financed by organizators. I will find more pictures of AT-ATs and add them soon. Quote
docmikeb Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Epic battle scene... the snowy landscape looks very realistic! Brilliant MOC! Quote
ArchitectureFan Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Great scene - and phantastic with the lights! This is in any case my favourite bit in Star Wars. Quote
Jared Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Cool, those columns are great, nice job getting them at an angle! Quote
GB115 Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 I think I'm experiencing brick envy... That is fantastic!! Quote
captainfin Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Will this be on display this year at Lipno? If so I will have to schedule a visit to Czech Rep. on my visit to Europe this year. My 6 yr old son and I are just starting our own Hoth MOC (our 1st ever MOC) and this has been a huge inspiration to us. So much amazing detail. Quote
Samppu Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 "Look at the size of that thing." Very impressive. Bacta bubbles are just so cool. AT-ATs are big and good looking as well, and you really seemed to have there the details and stuff from the movie such as the Ion Cannon. Size also matters sometimes. One flaw, though. When it certainly is not about the number of bricks nor about the talent (for this I am very sure), please leave the official sets at home and make your own MOC ones. This one has them, though, and I am very pleased to see that AT-ATs are MOCs. A couple of official sets as a rush addition are ok, but I have seen many Battle of Hoth -dioramas where the only thing the builder did him/herself was the snow. Luckily this is not a one of those, but still... A little less snow and a MOC snowspeeder..? -Samppu Quote
jaisonline Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Thank you for replies!! Yes, that Falcon is based on UCS Millennium Falcon, but upgraded version with lights <snip> Love this pic. It really gives your MOC scale since 10179 is included. How did you add the lights to 10179? Quote
MikeMo Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 This may be my favorite SW build of all time. Amazing! Quote
Lukasguy Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 (edited) This looks really good. Love the detail of the ice forming inside the base. The small things matter the most! I also love the at-at's. Hope to build one like this someday Edited May 3, 2015 by Lukasguy Quote
thire5 Posted January 23, 2017 Author Posted January 23, 2017 (edited) Hey guys, thank you so much again for all your great comments!! I have added and edited few more photos on my flickr (including closeup on AT-ATs). You can see this model again at LEGO exhibition in Prague (PVA EXPO Praha) from 1.4.2017 to 30.6.2017 http://www.ujizdimenakostkach.cz/cs/info/6-kostkomanie (sorry, it is in Czech, just put it in the google translator for more info) Edited January 23, 2017 by thire5 Quote

Well I agree, I don't like using official sets much. But this time I had to finish it quickly for the exhibition deadline, therefore I used some official sets (X-wing, snowspeeder) to save time. I'm sorry not to respond earlier. But as I said earlier, this model will be placed from this year on in Prague. On 16. 4. 2015 at 0:24 PM, jaisonline said: Love this pic. These are non Lego LED lights, the whole model contains more than 100 of them :) Edited January 24, 2017 by thire5 Quote
