I did post some top view angles for that exact reason. What more do you want? But I do tend to agree with AzMean; just give it a try. *sweet*

Thank you and AzMean for your replies.

I will try. But I really want to know how many and what kind of extra parts you need for this kind of moc. I don't have many spare parts yet, so I can order the needed parts at bricklink or something.

well.. there's always no harm in getting 2 of the same set. hehe... X-D u can also look at our photos for reference. if u dun have parts of the same color.. use any color parts.. and if it works for you, then you can get the color part u need.

Alternatively, use Lego Digital Designer 2 ;-)

I mostly used non-studed beams for the construction as you can make MOCs more compact that way. Sorry to say though, I did use a lot of extra parts. I have had my fill of limited part MOCs at the current moment. ;-)

I can take better photos of any area if you like.

I hope you don't mind 5150 Lego but I decided it was more sense adding this to your topic than creating a new one....

Eitherway, I at last got around to modding mine!

It was harder than I thought as I wanted it to only take up one stud of extra height. It attaches further back than I wanted due to this; the "hydraulics" are below the tray and would rub on the wheels if it was mounted closer. I also tried shortening the truck but I didn't like how it looked.

I am planning on doing the other trailer as well but I am out of wheels so it will have to wait! :-$ It's now time to put this thing to work!

No problem Sinner. I'm flatered that you got insperation from my idea. :-)

I had the same problem that you guys had. I found that making the dump body one stud higher makes things alot easier and gives more space for lift mechanisim (hyraulics). The one thing i did differtn was i used techinc studed beams for the trailer frames. This allowed me to add some cover fairings to the side. But the non-studed beams do look good.

If you guys want, i can take a few more pics of the undercarraige of the trailers. But fair warning my camera dosen't take good close ups.

Oddly while I like the way yours looked, I felt that it looked too high when I did it myself. *wacko* Thus I went to great lengths to keep it all in one stud of height.... :-P

Sinner,

That's a really cool hauler *y* *y* *y* *y* *y*

5/5 thumbs up X-D

I really like how functional it is

and good use of technic pieces

P

Thanks! I'm actually quite happy with it. At this stage I plan to make at least the trailer a keeper; it's not like I can use the tray for much else anyway! :-P
