March 5, 201014 yr Ta da! I even found places to put the extra parts; the 1x1 round ended up next to the exhaust stack, and the second lever makes a good piston for the bucket. The toughest part was getting the turntable lined up so I could attach the house (main structure) to the final drive (wheels).
March 5, 201014 yr Nice one! :) I somehow missed this topic... what was that about calling me a cheater! Anyhow, putting stickers represent most of the fun (not to say frustration) :)

Nice job.
March 7, 201014 yr Ta da!*snip* I even found places to put the extra parts; the 1x1 round ended up next to the exhaust stack, and the second lever makes a good piston for the bucket. The toughest part was getting the turntable lined up so I could attach the house (main structure) to the final drive (wheels). Nice! I always see what I can do with spare parts in a set, just like that.
March 31, 201014 yr Here is my attempt using 8073 Manta Warrior. (The picture might not be the greatest.) I did not get the seaweed in the right orientation but I did use the extra "cheese slope" on the rock formation. I will guess it took me about 10 minutes to do.
March 31, 201014 yr I have so far been able to build every set in the impulse size in the bag (including the manta ray, Atlantis diver and Traveler) Now I just need to wait for the Pig Farmer plus both Kingdoms impulses to be released :)
April 26, 201014 yr I present BBQ Stand in a bag. The hardest part was getting the drumstick properly oriented without it falling off. Edited August 16, 201014 yr by dingmh
May 18, 201014 yr Now I'm infected with the bag building too! Actually the Toy-Story 3 sets are great to do so! Of the western Train the cars can be built in the bags with the exception of the couplers! Here's the first one! A pity the engine is in two bags It's difficult to nearly impossible if you stick to the instructions and to open polybags respectivly the PE bags which really streeeetch inside the bag is difficult! However I got Buzz together without damaging the outer bag. In case you wonder where is all the print from the bag has gone... well here it is... Looking forward to do it also with 7596! fW
May 25, 201014 yr I just gave this a go with Indy Venice Canal Chase set. I gave up after about 5 minutes, I swear it's impossible
May 25, 201014 yr I just gave this a go with Indy Venice Canal Chase set. I gave up after about 5 minutes, I swear it's impossible Are you sure? Actually the Toy-Story 3 sets are great to do so! Of the western Train the cars can be built in the bags with the exception of the couplers! Here's the first one! A pity the engine is in two bags Nice bag build. Lego seems to be numbering bags more and more, and you found a great set to bag build. In case you wonder where is all the print from the bag has gone... well here it is...SNIP That happened to me too!
May 26, 201014 yr Are you sure? I know it's possible, I was just saying that it was 'impossible' as a exaggeration of how annoyed I was at how hard it was
June 21, 201014 yr Tried my first bag build today, I see it's already been featured but anyhow.. Was fun! A little more challenging than it would've been :P
July 6, 201014 yr Bagdoms My bag-built Kingdoms impulses. The jester seems unhappy being trapped inside a bag and being unable to reach his hat. Or maybe he just can't breath? Well, either way, don't worry, he's free now, and happily reunited with his long lost twin brother from the Fantasy theme.
July 7, 201014 yr I know this is an older thread, but since other people have posted in it this month... I bag-built my Chrome Darth Vader. The trickiest part is getting his cape on. One hole always happens to come off while you're putting on the other hole. In the end, the bag was so wrinkled that I just opened it to enjoy.
July 8, 201014 yr Hey ya'll, I didn't want to say anything because us Texans don't like to brag too much, but I gave your interesting hobby-based-off-another-hobby a go and found it all too easy. See the link here: notreallyalink.com Then I thought, why not take it up a notch, like we are prone to do here in the Lonestar State? I did this one with the lights off! Check out this pic: notreallyalink.com As with most of my kin, I mastered this in short order. Where was the next challenge? BOX BUILDING! I put this one together without opening the box. The biggest obstacle was not being able to see or feel the pieces. It took alot of shaking to get the pieces to go together just right! Here's the pic: notreallyalink.com I have to say, I really enjoyed this. Next time ya'll come up with a challenge, let me know. All kidding aside, this bag building is so cool! I'm going to remember not to tear into my next set without trying to bag build first. Anyone try to build one of the minifigs from the collector series yet? I know you wouldn't be able to see the finished product without opening the bag, and the bag is super rigid, but I wonder if it's possible?
July 9, 201014 yr Lego_Hero, you might want to check your links again? Are you winking at me because you think my links are messed up or because you realize the links were a joke? Read the link slowly, "not really a link dot com". I was joking around.
July 9, 201014 yr And now it's just kinda awkward. I agree. These childish jokes get quite tiring. I did bag build the BBQ Stand awhile ago and I still haven't opened it. Should I open it? I do love seeing how some have gone very far by build the Venice Canal Boats and Train cars.
July 15, 201014 yr I know it's a year or so old.. but I picked up Creator 6742 the other day... and decided to try my first bag-build! have to admit.. it was very fiddly.. the cheeseslope windscreen pieces too forever to get positioned, and lined up before I could push them into place! almost gave up a couple of times... but glad I persisted! :) Now I've done it.. I might do a quick review of this set.. as I see it hasn't been reviewed yet! RB
July 15, 201014 yr I should have tried doing it with my Taj Mahal, although it wouldn't work because the set isn't in numbered or similar bags, only on bricks of similar types. Still fun to build though, bags or not.
July 15, 201014 yr I attempted to bag-build my Toy Story 3 alien promo but gave up because A.The instructions are inside the bag and B.I couldn't get the alien head out of the little internal bag.
August 2, 201014 yr My first ever bag-built set, 7955: (the two 1x1 transparent plates in bottom-left corner are extra pieces) It was small but still fun to build...
