So it's just me. Oh. :'-( I am a Hink-a-phobe. It wasn't you, it was another Hink, but I suppose talking to you opens the wounds so it feels like it was only yesterday. But it was another world away. I was different then, my heart wasn't as darkened as it is today for it was before... sorry, I can't go on; the pain is too much. I will have to discuss it later when I feel stronger.

I challenge you to a build-off mother meg&$%!ser! Let's figure out a set that we both have and build an alternative model using only those pieces. Then we'll open a poll and let the people decide who rules and who stinks like poo. You up for that? or are you scared? Little baby walrus scared?

Oh, and the loser should suffer some humiliation...have to review a megablocks set and say they like it or something like that >:-)

*sweet* Well, I have neither one of those. And I wouldn't want to buy megablocks, either. Let's google humiliation and see what ideas we come up with. Also, you wouldn't have to break them. LEGO just comes apart, that's what's so cool about 'em. :-P

What other sets do you have that you'd be willing to break? I have lots of stuff lying around that I haven't put together yet. You don't have license stuff because of the markup, huh? Let's see I have Vikings Heavy Artillery Wagon, the new Fire Station, Grand Titan, Uplink and Fire Vulture, Bikini Bottom, Construction site, the fire pickup, Sentai Fortress, Fire Hammer vs. Mutant Lizards, VIking Fortress, the new castle wizard cave and both of the white creator houses. We can choose one or a combo!

Grand Titan and Uplink are both on my break list. A combiner could be hard due to the colours. I have;

Sentai Fortress and am prepared to break it but I don't want to break Silent Strike.

The Viking Fortress but I broke that last year so it is scattered.

Fire Vulture, but I don't want to break it yet. (It is still an option.)

The new Wizard skull castle thing, but I don't want to break it.

I googled humiliation and I found stuff about tarring and feathering and met a man named Jake who invited me over to his dungeon...but, I think for purposes of this contest the winner gets to make the loser an avatar that he has to keep up for a month. What do you think? Too mamsy-pamsy? Want something worse? My >:-) sophmoric mind can come up with worse. We could open it up for ideas to the rest of the forum...

...What was this thread about again? Right... I've done quite a bit of bag building. It spices up the somewhat mundane process of building a small set. This mini racer has been sitting on my desk for some time, and I intend to keep it that way until I need those silver handle bars.

I think we need to explore this more thoroughly. Ever hear of the "Schrodinger's' Cat" thought experiment? It's an exercise in quantum mechanics.

Now, on the same basis as the cat theory, if you shook up a Creator container - it's theoretically possible for the kit to assemble itself - but there's no way of knowing if it has or not until the box is opened.

So, if one follows Schrodinger's thinking - until the container is opened, the model is both assembled and unassembled in equal measure.

Thus...we have the "Schrodinger's LEGO" thought experiment.

I shall publish this in scientific journals immediately!

We shouldn't discuss our creations on the boards or with eachother, see how different our outcomes will be with the same sets. Two weeks from tonight we should PM our entries to someone, perhaps SW4J, and have him start the poll for us but not include our names so that people's vote won't be swayed by the bucket incident...I have to admit, I'm afraid I came out on the short end of that. I had good reason for taking your bucket but you just look so darn cute when you have it. I think that's swaying public opinion. Anyway, in the interest of sportsmanship I say 1. no campaigning and 2. we should both vote for eachother, gentleman's honor.

Also, if you'd like I can tell you how I did my shadowbox setup. It's quick and inexpensive and that way people won't be able to tell the difference b/t our entries just by the setup...perhaps I'm overthinking this.

Anyway, the loser must use the avatar the winner sends him for a month. The winner can send as many avatars as he wants, one a day or one a week for example.

What do you think?

I like the choice of these four sets because it's kind of a handicap for me. I've never built a space/exo-force MOC. Well, I built some SW ships, but it's not my strong point. I did however build this star destroyer in Thanksgiving 2001:

before the release of the official one. :-$ Now, I'm just being a show off. My point is this is awesome! Win or lose this should be a lot of fun!! X-D

Sinner, two weeks is cool with me.

I accept the guidelines. To avoid time zone issues, the end time should be 14 days after your last post. I agree that we shouldn't discuss what we are making, but I didn't think of the no-name idea. I do agree however. That bucket issue was seen as overly harsh by many, but it was just a personal issue between us. I also agree that I will vote for you.

Photo style will be a problem (we should discuss your shadowbox), as will where the images are hosted. Thus we will need to host the images at the same site in the same folder.

I have built only one Exo-Force MOC myself...

...it is the orange one to the left. I broke 7706 as wasn't happy with the tracks of the tank and I made that from mostly that set. (The only other MOC in that picture is the half finished Martian War Machine to the right. I took that photo just prior to re-building Sinnerton.) So I wouldn't worry about my experience. I do however love making space MOCs... but who said I was making a space or Exo-Force MOC anyway?! X-D

I have already started sorting out the pieces, have an idea and I should be able to make a start tomorrow. Enjoy! May the best walrus win! :-P

Do we want to set a limit to how many pictures we can each take of our entry? 3 is par for the course but I would say 5 because we are making the rules after all...I could always host the pics and I guess you could too. So I could e-mail the pics to you or vice versa and whoever ends up with them can just mail the links to whoever we ask to do the poll. Or whoever we send them to could post them on maj, bs, photobucket, etc...

I should really ask someone if they can officiate and start the poll for us. SW4J!...I'll PM him...

Well that is only part of what I have, but at the time it was 90% of my Exo-Force and all of my Star Wars. Straight after I took that photo I moved it all and rebuilt my town (I was missing the trains), then I realised I forgot a few >:-( and I certainly wasn't going to put it all back again! I think we should PM them to SW4J (if he agrees) and he can put them on Brickshelf or similar. If either of us host it might cause confusion. Alternately, I could create new account just to host the images.
