I must say, I haven`t done much in-bag-building, in fact the only thing I remember putting together in the bag is my chrome Darth Vader .

That boat is impressive though, I guess I´ll try something like that when getting a new set.

Ah yes... Building a LEGO set inside its bag. Do you know what I did last Christmas?

I built EVERY SINGLE sub-model of the two 2009 advent calenders... Inside its bag. Unfortunately, I neglected to take pictures, as I merely built the models that way as a morning exercise... I own you all. Just thought I should get that out there.

We've already got a thread on this. Inconspicuous beat you to the Venice boat too.

Cool! I'm sure someone will be nice enough to merge this for me! Just when I thought I had an original idea! Hahaha! Not really... I thought there was a thread somewhere but for the life of me I could not find it!

You own us all? That sounds an awful lot like a challenge to me...

I once tried it with an impulse set... got annoyed enough to not try again. Nothing beats 'feeling' the Lego when you build.

I built this one in the bag. There were two pieces that weren't packaged in the bag.

Keeping it in the bag help prevent little kids from choking on the little pieces, n'est-ce pas?

Man I needed to get an impulse set and try this now! :cry_happy:

Your Indy one Inky must have been annoying with all the little pieces.

Hey I did that one too! Hahaha!

I think putting the studs on the jumper plates, in the last steps was pretty damn hard, those studs are slippery little suckers.

But I did find that the parts I thought would be the hardest like the tap pieces were pretty easy actually.

Do you mind if I merge them? Otherwise we'll get more and more people posting quotes from that topic!

Please do Sieggy! Thanks a million! :sweet:

I think I will try to do another next time a have a few free hours. Sucks that the little red sports car doesn't have a bag in a bag, I will still try that one I think, but it won't have any of the lights or fancy bits.

Gee I feel like a dolt. I just realised that you said "I'm sure someone will be nice enough to merge this for me!" in the post I quoted... I need a holiday...

That's okay Sieggy, we all have those days! Take a holiday in April and come to the EB Event... hmmmm?

So I did build the sports car... well as much as I could with out the separate little baggy. It took about 15 minutes tops.

Sorry Zuloo, do you mind if I send you this set built? Hahahaha! It is still MISB, Mint In Sealed Box Bag.

That looks like the aftermath of a sport cars going under a semi-trailer truck. :classic:

 Especially with the missing head. Lego cars should really start having the windshields and roll bars over their heads so they don't get hurt

Exactley my thought :oh:

Looks like a terrible accident happend there.

A nice try though to build the sportscar. However this is not how this idea is ment

I was pretty new to collecting LEGO , still am compared to some here. Just had a few sets and while on the way home from buying Pirate Survival put the little pirate together in the bag. I think that's the one I did. It's nothing spectacular but I at the time thought it was funny. I couldn't wait until I got home and didn't want to lose any of the pieces in the car. So didn't open the bag.

I managed to build my 8072 Sea Jet in the bag. I even modified it to have lights on both sides. That is not very evident in the picture though. Basically, what I did is mount the lamp holder underneath the vehicle and put a clear 1x1 round plate on both sides of it. To fill in the place where the lamp used to be, I added the extra gray 1x1 round plate (to mirror the other side). Finally, I added the extra lime 1x1 round plate to the bottom of the Sea Jet to balance out my lights up front.

Who knows what lies beyond the mouth of that easy-chair-cave... :alien::tongue:

Enjoy! :classic:

Wait..you mean you built that INSIDE the bag without opening it, so this is kinda like a ship in a bottle? My god, you must have WAY too much time, but it's awesome for sure

I have merged your topic in here, since your topic is very much related to an example of bag building. :classic:
