TheUtilityBelt Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Hey guys! I had an idea a couple of weeks ago and I finally put it into bricks! So without further ado, Quest for Family! "Halt! I'm back from the market!" Wulf calls through the halls. "I found some rope and snow shoes like you asked!" He turns a corner into Halts bedroom. " May I ask what all this is for?" "I'm just going to tell you straight out. Wulf, we're going to Mitgardia." he replies, "I was born in Mitgardia and on my fifth birthday, my village was raided by orcs. I got away safely, but the last thing I saw of my family was my mother being stabbed and my father being pulled into the trees by my uncle. Somehow I know they're still alive, and I have to find them." Halt had a pained look in his eyes as he finished his sentence. Wulf looked shocked as he processed the things he just heard. So Halt is from Mitgardia? And then he remembered where he had previously said his parents were from, And his mother is from Nocturnus and his father is Avalonian? This is crazy! "Get ready to leave. We're heading out tomorrow." Halt says. Buying a giant lizard and a sand wolf to get to the Avalonian border, Halt and Wulf left the next day as planned. Conveniently, a group of Sand Elves was also going that way as far as Burnby. Why the elves were heading that way, Halt did not ask. At one of the gates of Carn, it was early in the morning, so there weren't many people crowding the streets. This story is going to be fun!... at least for me :D And if anyone is wondering why my siggies name changed, it's part of a tradition of being thane in Carn. C&C appreciated ~TUB Quote
Slegengr Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Nice build, TUB! The small room has nice details with the armor rack and the nice arched window. The path scene looks nice with all the minifigure activity. A few wedge plates and a bit more variation in terrain (rocks, low vegetation, dirt clods, etc.) could go a long way with this build. I am definitely looking forward to more of this story! Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Nice! I like the interior scene, and it's nice to see the Shadowmere Guard getting around! Quote
TheUtilityBelt Posted January 22, 2015 Author Posted January 22, 2015 Thank you all for the comments so far. I do admit, it is pretty simple, but I don't own a large assortment of bricks. Quote
Blufiji Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Large amount of bricks or not the effort is there. That's what counts. Solid build and good story. Quote
TheUtilityBelt Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 Thanks! But I do need to get some more bricks to do more details and all that good stuff. Quote
LordDan Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 The interior scene looks nice! However, I am not a big fan of the path in the outdoor scene. It looks strange since it is higher than the surrounding land. I do understand though that it might be a bit difficult to do anything about that due to your lack of bricks. Quote
Jorrith Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Thats a nice interior scene, but i also like the outdoor one. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Interesting storyline Cool little interior too, the wood supports look nice Quote
Hammerhand Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Nice job TUB! You've done a nice job with limited resources. And I love seeing a dewback being used in GoH! Quote
