Commander Smith Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) Hi- Today I'm posting a new 1-seat walker. Here it is with the cockpit open: Smith and Tix created this walker out of parts after their gunship crashed on their planet in the outer rim. They're going to use it to return to base. ---fmmmlee--- P.S. My photo studio was a roll of butcher paper, a table, and a smartphone! Edited January 27, 2015 by Commander Smith Quote
Commander Smith Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 Not much interest, but...it stands for All Terrain-Personal Transport! Quote
GallardoLU Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Mr. Smith, your walker is quite interesting seems to have a serious amount of armor for such a small unit. there are a lot of gaps though, and that kind of goes against the protective appearance you undoubtedly were going for. That said, SoNE is not just building models, its telling a story. This build itself is of sound quality, but what does it have to do with the Story of SoNE? Why are you in the “AT-PT”? (which by the way is an Imperial unit and quite a bit different than the one you are in) Where are you going in that walker? How did the Rebels get a walker in the first place? Many builders utilize dialog between other nameless troopers/rebels, or during co-operative builds with other members of SoNE. As I said your builds are good, but SoNE is more than just building with Lego. Quote
MKJoshA Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Your use of butcher paper for a backdrop is perfect! I think now you just need to work on lighting. Natural lighting helps the best, so I would recommend taking the pictures near a window when the sun is out. But, a couple desk lamps can be made to work also if the sun isn't out. As for the build, again, story will help make your characters and builds fit better with the SoNE universe. Lots of people have been building in it for awhile now so there are some expectations built up. It helps to look at what other builds have done recently. You don't have to have a large brick collection to make a good MOC. A good story can make it pop just as much as a large number of bricks. I like your walker. It's a unique enough design to not look like a rip off yet still shouts SW! Good work. Quote
