Walter Kovacs proudly presents his first Mafia Game:

Unrest in the Forest

unrest_banner.png

I am looking for 23 players. If I get more, I will look into adding more roles. If I get less, I'll adjust accordingly.

For those that have never played a Mafia game before, but are interested: feel free to sign-up. I will give preference to those who have completed at least one Mafia-school game, but if I'm severely short on players I will let Noobies in. My first game was a non-Mafia school game, so it is certainly is possible to play well in a big boy game without Mafia School.

A few questions:

1. How many Mafia games have you played here on EB?

1a. If you have NOT played any games, how many have you read through? Have you ever visited and looked through Mafiascum?

2. Have you read the Rules (which are provided below for your convenience)? Are you prepared to follow them?

3. Do you promise to have fun, and treat the game as a game?

The Rules, by which we shall play:

1. Each player will be given a character to play. That character will be aligned with either the Oaks or the Maples. To win the game, the Oaks must lynch or kill off all of the Maples, while the Maples need to outnumber the Oaks. Any Third Party characters will have their own win conditions.

2. Each day will be played out in its own topic. During the day you will be able to vote to expel (lynch) a player. Voting must be done in the following format: Vote: Character (Player). Similarly, unvoting is to be done in the format: Unvote: Character (Player). No other format will be accepted. A majority vote is required to expel (lynch) a player, meaning that over half of the remaining players must vote for the same player to warrant a lynch.

3. A game day will last for 72 hours. You may not vote in the first 24 hours. The day will end after those 72 hours. After the day has concluded, a night will commence, which will last a maximum of 48 hours. Night actions must be sent to the host in the first 24 hours of nighttime. You may not post about the game openly on Eurobricks during that time (but may continue to use private messages).

4. The alignment of lynched players, as well as those that died during the night, will be revealed at the beginning of the next day.

5. You may not quote or pretend to quote anything sent to you by the game host via PM. This includes the details of your character and role, as well as any night action results. Role claims and reporting of night action results are acceptable, but in your own words only. Do not attempt to use the structure of your role PM to your advantage.

6. You may not quote/post anything sent to you by another player via PM. If you wish to use information gained in this way, you must do so in your own words only.

7. Do not play the game outside the day threads. Similarly, do not post out-of-character inside the day threads. Game tactics and roles may only be discussed in the game thread or via PM with other players. Private discussion is done at your own risk and should be treated as part of the game.

8. If you are dead, you may not post in thread or discuss the game with any of the players (living or dead). Any information you had becomes void, and may not be passed on.

9. Don't edit your posts.

10. You must post in every day thread.

11. Violation of the above rules will result in a 5-vote penalty against you on your first offense, and the death of your character on your second offense.

12. If at any time another player asks you to violate these rules (for example, asking you to give them your role PM), report this to the host immediately along with PM proof of the violation.

EDIT: How the hell did that happen? I never hit post. I'll clean this up a bit, give me a few minutes.

EDIT2: Dear God, this is bordering on ridiculous. The extra sign-up threads need to go away. Still no clue how this sort of thing happens.

Colour me in... tentatively. After that last game, I'm a little spent. Spending myself and winning makes me want to play more, but spending myself and losing makes me want to sit in front of a fire wrapped in a fleece blankie.

Put me down as number 23. If you get 24, I'm happy to sit one out.

1) I've played enough games that I stopped updating my EB page with results.

2) Yeah.

3) Depends if people start demanding to explain why I'm alive on day three, or that I haven't caught scum day one, or that they never trust me cuz I'm a good liar (though I'm not and never have been), etc. etc. all the things that are said to me and nobody else... :classic: But, yeah, it's supposed to be play.

Count me in tentatively as well. I'm busy these next couple of months and will be out of town (with internet likely) the 14-18 of February. Let me know if that'll be a problem.

1. Too many

2. Yeah. Looks good.

3. Don't cross me. I'm prepared to start a forum mafia fight!!

Sounds like someone's expecting a lot of action this Valentine's Day... More than I am at least. Five days?

Duly noted.

As long as you can make one post in a day thread, it shouldn't be a problem.

There is trouble with the trees? I'd love to join in.

1. How many Mafia games have you played here on EB?

I have played Eurodina. I can't remember of any other.

1a. If you have NOT played any games, how many have you read through? Have you ever visited and looked through Mafiascum?

I don't read, I only look at the images. I hope yours will be nice.

2. Have you read the Rules (which are provided below for your convenience)? Are you prepared to follow them?

I only play by my own rules. And your rules have no images.

3. Do you promise to have fun, and treat the game as a game?

I promise to challenge your every decision and be a dick about it.

So, am I in? :cry_happy:

Just a heads up, If we run into valentines day I'll be out for at least 2 and a half minutes.

Interesting game but I'm a bit confused. Are we going to be trees or lumberjacks and will there be a story behind it? Nonetheless, I'm still still interested.

1.) Yes, I have played 2 games already.

2.) Yes to both.

3.) That, I can't make a problem seeing as how I get hot-headed quite easily because of annoyance but I'm very confident I will not let that get the best of me, thanks to Speedy for some advice. :classic:

Unfortunately, this trip isn't fun-related! I fear it will make someone very unhappy...

1. How many Mafia games have you played here on EB?

Considering all the "game within the game" 's that I have played, I estimate this to be approximately 5,277.

1a. If you have NOT played any games, how many have you read through? Have you ever visited and looked through Mafiascum?

Are you even reading my answers or not? Asking this right after I told you makes it seem like you don't even care what I say. I have feelings, you know!

2. Have you read the Rules (which are provided below for your convenience)? Are you prepared to follow them?

Depends on where they're going. If the rules decided to jump off a bridge would I jump off a bridge, too? Yes. Yes, I would!

3. Do you promise to have fun, and treat the game as a game?

I promise to... hey, look! A squirrel!

Game hasn't even started and you're already calling people names?

No blankies. Get back in here and fight. Aren't you the one who always says townies never quit fighting to survive?

Sitting out on the last game was nail-bitingly tense, so I'm in for this one!

1. I've played 8 games, I think, starting with Aperture Academy through Cosplay Mafia.

2. I have read the rules, and I am fond of the ban on posting PMs.

3. Games are games, and I don't like to see them get personal. Yes.

I might go paranoid again but I know it's just a game.
